Dr. Homayun is extremely experienced. The first time I saw him he already know what was happening with my gums - I have super recession due to hereditary genes, even with excellent maintenance. I have one cavity and now one crown. Nothing was wrong with the tooth...the gum stopped attaching and it was infecting my jaw. Long story short, I was able to get my crown approved after having a State Hearing, and Dr. H completed this process after two year long agonizing journey [implant was another doctor and he screwed in an uncommon Korean brand that not a lot of other dentists use]. Feels so weird to have a tooth again, but he's an expert with high technology in his offices that he knows how to use with precision and speed. I originally gave this office a good review prior to any procedures done...I gave original review based on customer service. As stated in my fist review I was so scared to just sit in the chair...well I feel the Dentist took advantage of an obvious stressful situation..I was told that I needed $2500.00 just to start....the dentist stated that what I needed was not covered by my insurance...I was in DISTRESS ..I just wanted help...I borrowed the money and came in with only $2000.00.. of coarse they took it and changed the prices on me at least 3 times..I actually have the different quotes on paper. Well the dentist did something that flagged the DEA by prescribing me something he should not have on the first procedure and when I came in for my next procedure..I was not allowed to have anything fory obvious nerves and was not given enough numbing med...I FELT EVERYTHING!! I YELLED TO STOP AND HE WOULDN'T!!!I. I WAS CRYING MY BODY WAS CURLING UP IN PAIN...HE WOULDN'T STOP...so many things happened that shouldn't have ...I feel I was taken advantage of and the dentist still owes me money...real quick to take it from me but it needs to be approved to give it back?..I will NEVER step foot in that office and neither should you... especially if you have any fear...oh and after I was finally finished I told the assistant that it hurt worse than childbirth and she just laughed at me...NO MERCY WAS SHOWN...I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!! Horrible experience. Patients best interest not in mind. All they care about is how much money they can get out of you and try to do as many procedures as possible. Dentist immediately said all of my teeth are done for. He told me none can be saved and I need to receive root canals/extractions on every one of them. My entire family have been patients of Dr. Homayun for over 20years. Both my parents had periodontal and implant reconstruction done by him. My children had their wisdom teeth removed by him. Now I'm his patient. For years I had suffered from reoccurring sinus infection that would come and go. I even had a sinus surgery that helped a little but the sinus infections kept on coming. I went for a check up with Dr. Homayun and he diagnosed my sinus infection originating from a failed root canal treatment that was done many years ago. Almost immediately after my surgery a few months ago , my sinus issues all resolved and not only I can breath better , but I have no had a single episode of sinus issues any more. Dr. Homayun is one of the most knowledgeable doctors that I have ever met. He is smart, kind ,gentle, and he is blessed with golden hands. I spent 32k for 2 failed implants because the doctor hit a nerve, left side of my face was numb for 1+ year. Still not total feeling. 2 implants that had to be replaced because they're affecting my sinus and 2 crowns on implants that were placed in a position that were lower than my my natural teeth that have to be replaces to fix my bite!! 32k for abspulitly nothing!! It's very hard for me to write this review for Dr. Jamil Marwan at comfort dental in Valencia because his assistants Maria & Carmen are super nice people but I cannot keep silence about this pushy dentist and heartless person and I will explain why! I started to have discomfort on one of my back teeth and I needed to see a dentist right away and when I called the office were nice enough to fit me in the next day. They had to get permission from my transplant team since I have an organ transplant! As soon that was done I went in to have the tooth pulled, I thought it was going to be an easy task but Dr Marwan came in started telling I need I needed a deep cleaning, 8 fillings a bone graft plus a few crowns & implants for future needed work I needed. When he started extracting my tooth I could feel some pain! He injected more of the numb stuff and I felt him pulling my tooth and I though that was it but he went back and started to pull on something but when I'd asked he kept ignoring my signs and finally told me there's was a portion of my tooth that he didn't extract! Something that it should have taken a couple minute took half an hour or more! It was hurting me because the helper was gagging me and he told me raising his voice to stop exaggerating and keep my mouth shut! Very rude dentist! Worst dental experience of my life but he still expects for me to go back to get the job done but I don't think so! Dr. Marwin, my advice to you, instead of being so greedy try to be nicer to your new patients so they will want to comeback! read more

I am giving five stars to Dr. Nathan Tully an office manager Bernice for my experience with Comfort Dental. I was referred to Comfort Dental six months ago from applying for a grant. I went in for a referral for a new denture and teeth extractions and bone graft. I decided not to have work done at that point but a month ago my bottom bridge broke and I had no choice but to get this done. I arrived with no appointment. I was immediately seen by a young man who just graduated last summer. That made me a little nervous but I had no choice and once he told me he graduated from MidWestern the famous dental school it relaxed me somewhat. I needed two teeth extracted that morning and was very nervous since it's been many years since I had Novocain. The shot was painless and when the extractions happened I didn't even know the teeth were already out didn't feel a thing. I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Also he speaks perfect English and of course understands English which the previous dentist I spoke with had a hard time understanding me. He is a fine upstanding young man and Comfort Dental is lucky to have a doctor knowing all the new procedures in dentistry. The office manager Bernice has been very patient and answers all my questions to my satisfaction in fact she called today to see how I was feeling with the temporary denture and if needed could come in before my scheduled Thursday appointment. I know she's very busy with her job duties to take the time out to see how I was meant a great deal. So five stars for Comfort Dental on Mc Bean Pkwy, Valencia. Dr. tah is the best doctor ever! He knows I can't stand shots in my mouth so he does my filings and everything I needed for gum. I'm honestly appalled at my experience here. I went in for a check up and the dentist kept saying "I'm conservative" (in terms of work being done) then said I needed 3 root canals, 6 fillings and 8 crowns. I wish I was exaggerating. While I was asking questions about the procedures the guy seemed very annoyed and kept sighing like I was wasting his tim. My total estimate would end up being around $10,000 which they wanted me to put on Care Credit. They were supposed to do a simple cleaning afterward but became "too busy" so they said come back another day. I was so shocked by the quote I went to another dentist who only said I need two fillings and one crown. The new dentist said Comfort Dental already told my insurance that I had a cleaning so I couldn't get one done. I tried calling to cancel my appointment but now no one is answering. I'm beyond upset that I decided to come to this place. They are a giant scam. BEWARE. Get a second opinion before you put yourself in debt. (During a pandemic none the less. They should be ashamed) The only good thing I will say is the dental assistant Maria is a total sweetheart. They should be grateful she works there. read more

I was recommended to Dr. Himayan (hope I'm spelling it right!), to asst with a stubborn molar that needed to be removed. I was SO incredibly scared in the beginning, but Dr. Himayan quickly calmed me down. If you're a big baby about needles like I am, this is the place to come. I'd like to thank Dr. Himayan and the pleasant and knowledgeable staff up front (Espie), for making this an easy, stress free experience for me! You've renewed my trust in the process. First, I would like to say that the work I have had done (2 cleanings and 2 crowns) has turned out very well. Also, the dentists and assistants have been both friendly and professional. But I believe there are issues that need to be corrected. The first crown went very well. However, the second one did not fit for some reason. They had to send it back to the lab and have a new one made. When I came back again the new crown once again did not fit. After an hour and a half of working with it and sanding or drilling it down, it finally fit (and fits well). For my 4 treatments over the last nine months, I have seen FOUR different dentists. This is a big issue and there was no continuity in treatment. In fact, the last dentist was not even aware that my previous crown did not fit. I asked the front office staff and my last dentist (I missed his name but he was very professional and nice) to have the owner call me to discuss this. It is now 6 days later and I have not received a call. Finally, while the staff in the front area is friendly, I sat in the office for 15 minutes while no one greeted me or asked me what I was there for. I had to approach the counter to ask if they knew I was waiting. At the end of the day I am glad my crowns fit. However, I really think having 4 different dentists in a 9 month period is an issue and hopefully one that gets resolved in the near future. UPDATE: Shortly after this review I got a call from the owner. Dr. Homayan and I had a very constructive conversation. I was left with the impression that the staffing issues have been resolved and I will be seeing 1 dentist primarily for all future work. I was also told that staff would correct the issue with greeting clients when they arrived. I will continue having my dental work done here and change my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars and hope to come back here and change it to 5 stars sometime. read more

I am one who gets such anxiety about the dentist that I just avoid it at all cost-until it is unbearable. I've been working with Dr. Bossel for over a year. She has a great bed side manner-she has been kind and caring; as well as, making sure everything is explained, and done properly. The office manager Mandy, is lovely. She has worked with my financial needs, and assisted in keeping me on track with what needs to be done, all while making me feel very comfortable (& not stressed out!) All the staff are very nice! I went to Comfort Dental a couple of years ago for implants and several crowns. Dr. Mina Adinemehr did the crowns and I was not impressed with her at all. She was very unprofessional and thought everything was a joke. She gave me numerous injections for the pain and rather than give me the correct dose, gave me a weak one and had to continue with more doses and more injections. In the end, she did a good job on the crowns, but I would NEVER go back to her again. Dr Michael Homayun did my implants. Twice now, I have had to go back because the implants came loose and he had to re-screw them back in. This last time he had the nerve to charge me for his shoddy work. I have had implants from a more reputable dentist and they never came loose in 15-20 years! Also - he was always pushing "teeth" cleaning every couple of months. He uses a machine that is really a torture device. My regular dentist has a Dental Hygienist that does the cleaning by hand once every 6 months. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. Every time I go there the staff changes and the employees are different. High turnover! That should tell you something! Avoid this place!! read more

I am one of many people who hate going to the dentist and unfortunately avoid it as much as possible. I went in this morning in a pretty grumpy mood but despite my mood the staff and Dr. Bossel were more than comforting. Very attentive and gracious. They helped me plan out everything that I needed done for my teeth very efficiently. They accommodate to you however necessary and make sure you are happy with your visit. I highly recommend this location. Past dentist send me to specialist for further work but this office has the specialist come to their office so you aren't going around to a million different locations all the time which is very nice! I HIGHLY recommend this dentist office! It is never fun going to the dentist, it can be painful & expensive but the crew here is incredible & SO sweet, especially Mandy!! Every time we go in there it is their #1 importance we know what is going on & what all the different options are. We had to get quite a few different procedures done (wisdom teeth, infection, teeth cleaning, etc.) no matter what it was Mandy worked with our schedule and our wallets!!! As a young adult trying to build up savings they are willing to do whatever it takes to help us out! They let's us know all of our possible options and their costs but also advised what the best one was for whatever age & placing of the teeth thinking about the future & durability as well. The doctors there KNOW what they are talking about & genuinely care about your entire well being not just your mouth or their pockets.
