Had such a lovely stay here for the weekend with my boyfriend. The property was quiet and easy to find. Close for us to enjoy Brenham and Round Top during our stay. We stayed in the Oasis cabin and it was so cute and had everything we needed, also clean. They left complimentary breakfast items for us to cook at our leisure. Will definitely visit again!

Grand Spa Cabin So this was an early Valentines Day surprise for my girlfriend. Our first time here, did not know what to really expect. But from the moment we got to door we were glad we picked Scenic Hill. The nice welcome note on the door, nice comfy bed, the breakfast items left in fridge, everything was AMAZING!!!!!! Nice quiet weekend getaway..Definitely will be returning. And definitely recommend the pecan pie muffins.....

My beloved girlfriend, then fiance, now wife honeymooned here after we got married January 20th 2018! We love this place. We stayed in the Woodland cabin. Perfect for two people. This place is so great to get away from it all. So calm, beautiful, and peaceful. It has a very rural rustic vibe to it. We stayed two days and opted for the late check out on the third day. They have several small cabins to rent on the Scenic hills vacation property. I don't know much about the other buildings but the woodland cabin is highly recommended. My wife got a few pics of the outside of the cabin that I'll post; but our phones died and we didn't bring a charger; so we didn't take many pics. Count on not having much of a cell phone signal out there, but if your looking to get away from electronic devices, a busy routine, or just spend time with your wife, husband, or family; this is definitely a place to visit.

We absolutely loved this place! We stayed in the retreat! Clean, awesome view and great hot tub! Was perfect for our first weekend getaway! Will be returning as often as possible! The owner Jim was very nice and accommodating as we had our boat with us. Plenty of room for it and our suburban! Checkout time was noon and was perfect so there was no need to rush after a long night! Go check this place out!!!!!!

Great place to get away from it all! Beautiful cabins, scenery and location. No TV or Internet to distract you. Breakfast items were great and the homemade pecan muffins.... awesome! Would highly recommend this place.

Great individual cabins provide intimacy and privacy.

Had a GREAT stay at the Spa Vistas lodge. My husband an I had a relaxing break, enjoyed the views and the HOT TUB. I enjoyed having an "unhosted" B&B where they stock the fridge for you and leave you to make your own breakfast. Definitely will be going back.

Meadows Edge: Had such a great time! Went for our anniversary and to get away from all the stress Houston and kids bring us. On the way there you see nothing but land and trees, zero traffic. Very peaceful. Upon arrival you see your cabin surrounded by nothing else but trees and trails. The cabin was very well kept, like new. If you can imagine sitting in a hot tub while the weather is 48 degrees outside, listening to nothing but the wind hitting the leaves and knowing there is no one else around but you and your spouse... that's exactly how it was. Everything you can possibly think is needed, was provided. DVDs, board games, breakfast and mini muffins await you. Outdoor gas grill and hammock was available. Visited the nearby Royers cafe, which was a little pricey but good. H.E.B not too far. Loved this place and will definitely be back!!!!

Stayed in the "grand spa" and loved everything about it! Disco ball and massage table are perfect additions. Will stay again soon.

There is not a more comfortable place nor more congenial hosts as those found at A Wild Rose Cottage. The property is beautiful, the home is comfortable and the breakfasts are scrumptious. There could not be a more Texan couple than Pattie and Steed. With luck, Steed will regale you with some of his stories about his time as a cowboy, a rancher and as a movie star in many recognizable films. Pattie is the epitome of a gracious hostess. Pattie, I want your recipe for the french toast syrup and strawberry preserves! Our family always enjoys spending time with them. The house is an old remodeled farmhouse, complete with a beautiful and comfortable claw foot bathtub. There is plenty of room for our extended family of eight. There is a small goldfish pond, swing and gorgeous oak trees everywhere. I only wish my home had such a beautiful front porch as there is at A Wild Rose Cottage. There is a beautiful stock tank on the property. I will forever have the memory of teaching my grandsons how to skip rocks on this tank. There are accommodations for a reunion, wedding or almost any event imaginable in "The Barn". Don't forget to check out the modern outhouse! We always feel safe, secure and welcome here. A Wild Rose Cottage is a hidden gem, worthy of an overnight or an extended stay. Many thanks, Pattie and Steed.

We also had the baby lambs and were even able to feed them their bottles. I can't forget about Sourdough the goat. She is super adorable. The room was comfortable. It had a kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms with a total of four beds. I loved the bed. The mattress was soft and super comfortable. The kitchen had the essentials. They do provide beach towels. We did have to ask for more towels for the shower. They do also have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There is a hairdryer in the room. The ranch is big with a lot of animals to see. The animals are well taken care of by the friendly staff members. The petting zoo is a great place to take your family into. The animals are all friendly and get along well. They have activities you can partake in for a fee, but if you spend more than two nights in the rooms some are included. The beach area was very nice. It was clean and the water was perfect. They have plenty to keep your kids entertained in the beach area. The pool was nice as well. It had a hot tub. You could rent a golf cart, but the ranch is pretty walkable. They do sell food during the day and you can order a three course meal for dinner. The three course meal can be eaten in your room or at Flo. You can take your own bottle of wine to Flo if you want to eat your meal there. We did the dinner and got the steak, the salmon and the eggplant Parmesan. The salmon was a hit. I will say that I think the meal was pre- package or pre prepared because it wasn't as fresh coming out. They do have a spa, but be aware that it can book up pretty quick. We were not able to get a reservation for massages. They do send you a link to set up your extras prior to your visit, so if you are looking forward to something, get ahead of time. They sell their own honey and you can buy a dozen eggs for five dollars. We received a welcome gift of honey and sourdough bread. We ate the first day we were there and it was delicious. They also have complementary snacks and drinks in the check-in area for guest. They did have a food truck area where they sell items such a as chicken tenders, fries, and ice cream. We were told there was 160 people on the property yet it felt peaceful and private the whole time we were there. I was truly in heaven,. I would not hesitate to return. Definitely a great place for families or weekend with your girlfriends.

We stayed in the newest addition and the rooms were exquisite. The only downside was the construction that was going on during our stay, which took away a bit from the relaxation. There is a restaurant on site, which is convenient, although not the most affordable option. The property is only about 20 minutes from Brenham, so going into town for other dining options was easy. Overall, it was a lovely experience and we will definitely be back.

I found this place as I googled for B&B near where I was going to sky dive. They had a few sleeping options but we opted for the cottage a 1 bedroom cottage that sleeps 6 comfortably has a wooden patio with seating, AC, a cable TV, bathroom & mini fridge & micro. Clayton, the owner, gave me tour & as I walked the farm I couldn't help but be overwhelmed with the smells & it wasn't manure!! The roses, herbs & other flowers, amazing how many times I stopped to; "literally smell the roses". As I toured what stood out was the meditation labyrinth, the drum circle room, the party barn & the tree houses. These folks have thought of everything! Have kids? Well they will love the animals, treehouses & swings. Love nature? You'll love the vegetable garden, flowers & thoughtful sitting areas. Are you a hippy? Then you'll love the meditation labyrinth, drum room or fire pit. Maybe your a big family or want to have an event? They have an awesome room they call the party barn with pool table, shuffle board, full bar, kitchen & thoughtful decor. Enough of my stereotyping but you get the point, they have a variety of activities to suit almost anyone. We were planning to go to the nearby state park but after settling in & seeing what the farm had to offer- we didn't need to move. Probably more amazing then the surroundings & thoughtful activities are the owners themselves. Marsha is a talented artist & Clayton a sort of renaissance man himself were very welcoming. We struck conversations right away & within a hour or two were invited to join them & another couple staying on the farm for dinner. It's so refreshing to get to know humans that reach out to others, people that don't make you feel like strangers. If you are close or even if your not & desire a retreat from the norm both scenically & socially, try Waits farm retreat. I think you'll be happy you gave it a try.

Two of the best people I've met, the grounds were beautiful, the cottage was adorable, just what I needed to relax and get my mind off my hectic city life. We all have decided to now make this a yearly trip and we can't wait to go back! Thanks again Clayton and Marsha for sharing your home and life with 6 dysfunctional strangers....Love ya!!!! P.S. get them to make you a real homecooked breakfast, totally worth the extra money!!!!!
