I met with 7 different landscapers to explore my options, pricing, knowledge of the job, and quality of work. I did my research and read reviews from both Yelp and Google and finally decided to go with Scenic View Landscape. Isaias was easy to talk to, respectful, and professional. Also, pricing was fair and reasonable. From receiving my quote, Isaias and his team of family were able to do the landscape 3 weeks after the initial consultation, and finished in two days! They were impressive, quick but efficient, and cleaned after themselves. I had my front yard, side yard and backyard done. I asked them to add concrete steps for my front yard and also a bit more concrete to expand the parking space. They were also able to save me money by using some of the hollow blocks and bricks that I already had just laying around to use as a divider for my planters. My front yard and side yard was overgrown with weed and variety of plants that have grown wild also plants from previous owner that weren't really to my liking. They helped me plant over 20 new plants along with lavenders, santolina, society garlic and rosemary. The steps for my side yard that Isaias picked was so beautiful! It was perfect! They also replaced the mulch with gravel as I had wanted a more of a cleaner and minimal look as well as low maintenance. I finally decided to take out my grass and do a native yard. I'm not sure why I waited so long. Scenic View Landscape made the whole process easy and exciting. From the beginning Isaias was an ease to work with. He returned my call, talked to me about my plan, came out and measured and gave me a bid, had very fair pricing, and kept me updated on the start date. He also allowed me to meet him at the nursery to pick the plants/colors that I wanted for my yard. When Isaias and his crew started, it was a pretty quick two-day process. He and his crew were very responsive to my design ideas. I wanted a berm next to a dry riverbed to give the yard some texture. Yet, Isaias and the guys also added their expertise on things I would not have known to do and design ideas that increased the beauty of the landscape. The materials (bark, stone) are really nice quality. And they left everything clean and tidy. In the end I was happier than I ever expected. Now all I want to do is sit out front and watch the beautiful plants grow and the birds and lizards make their homes. Where to begin... It's been quite a journey completely redoing my backyard. I had about 20 landscaping companies take a look and provide quotes over the course of a month. To be honest, Scenic View was not my first choice. I initially chose an alternative company, but a week before the start date, the company backed out of my project for a bigger (more lucrative) one. Everything happens for a reason, because I know the other company couldn't do everything that Scenic View has done for me, while STAYING UNDER BUDGET. A while back (sorry about the delay in reviewing - life happened) I had Scenic View do work for me and I wanted to make sure I reviewed them because the experience was the best that I have had when it comes to landscaping and clean up. I hired them to clear the area where I intended to install a fence. They had to deal with 3 property lines - they did a GREAT job and even dealt with a cranky neighbor better than I could! They use a good sized crew, I think is all family which I really liked - they all worked so well together and got things done really quickly. They did beyond what I expected and left my yard cleaner than it had been in a long time. They offered to remove anything I wanted to get rid of and did the entire job very quickly. I also really appreciated that they worked with the fence contractor on the timing of the work so there was no lag time between the cleanup and fence installation. Horatio and his family went absolutely above and beyond in clearing the decades of neglect that had built up in my back yard. They razed an absolute jungle down to dirt and maintenance manageable in less than estimated, went above and beyond cleaning up and taking care of any debris, even to the point of sweeping off my roof for me. I can't say enough to their hard work, kindness and respect of my property and the plant-life therein. It hasn't looked so nice in 30 some odd years. I would work with any of them again at any point. You can tell the family has a lot of experience in all aspects of landscaping needs. They were especially helpful when I had a bad experience with a different contractor who laid a concrete floor. The Gallegos family came up with a solution to fix the problem at a reasonable price and it looked great. They also fixed a water drainage problem, installed new lighting, cleared and trimmed vegetation, cleared old grass and plants and put in new sod and plants. We were absolutely thrilled with the work that Isaias and his team did on our property in Brea! Isaias showed up promptly, taking his time discussing our project, and even came up with some brilliant suggestions. He and his team were able to start the project within two days of our contact with them and absolutely knocked it out of the park! Horacio & Jose went above & beyond, from start to finish, with the retaining wall they installed for us. Horacio explained his recommendations for what we needed to have a solid foundation for a vinyl fence that would be put on the wall. They had excellent helpers. They all worked hard tearing out our old wood fence (including hauling away old fence & debris from area to digging proper trench). The retaining wall was put in with precision using levels & string lines. The retaining wall was done with great workmanship. We felt secure that this company knows what they're doing, communicating well to answer all questions we had, & worked awesome with the vinyl fence company that was installing fence. They had a lot of work to do & finished in the time they said when it would be done. They showed they cared about their work & said (more than once:)) it was important to them that WE were happy with the job. We're beyond happy!
