I hate to write negative reviews after a good one. I have waited and waited but no respond so I don't even know if I am going to hear back from them. Faucet is not working properly. Pool light is broken within months. They installed the drainage up side down and flow backward. Gate is not installed properly, simple just screw on the wall and now cannot close properly depending on the season. Promised a mini palm tree but never shown up. Been several months asking them to fix but keep saying they either cannot get to my backyard or busy! Tito, please fix the stuff!!! read more

This review is long overdue! Tito did the planning and construction on our front and back yard of our new house a few years ago. I have had landscaping done on new construction twice previously and can easily say that my experience dealing with Ruiz Construction was the best experience I have had with a contractor. Tito is a very nice guy who manages his workers like a well oiled machine. Every single day his workers showed up 7 am sharp and left at 2 -3 pm. No hoping around from job to job showing up whenever they want like some other companies I've dealt with. There's nothing worse than having workers MIA after paying the money. You can't go wrong with Tito Ruiz He is honest, fair, punctual and reliable. I recommend him highly. We did a large landscaping job with Tito and his crew. It included artificial turf, cement work, flower beds, sprinklers, a fire pit, a hammock, removing a 40 foot tree and planting a new one and hanging a large outdoor TV. When the TV didn't work he told me to call him when I got a replacement and he'd have someone come to hang it. He already had done his part. It wasn't his fault the TV didn't work. But he offered to come back at no charge. He and his crew finished early. We have the best yard in the neighborhood. Thanks Tito! A++++! When we bought our house it was in mostly great condition but the backyard was an eyesore. It had a nice overhead patio but with old, pink, cracked concrete covered by an old rug. The yard was basically a sea of woodchips with a large old shed that we hated. So when we decided to redo our backyard we knew it was going to be a huge project. We initially got three estimates and were pretty impressed with all three of the contractors who came out. But, one estimate came in significantly lower and so we decided to go with Tito Ruiz's estimate. From the beginning, Tito was very responsive, professional and easy to work with. He got the initial estimate to us very quickly and as soon as we were ready Tito's crew was able to start the work. His employees were also very professional, did very good work and always cleaned up after themselves. My husband and I couldn't stop talking about the excellent workmanship in every aspect of the job. In total, they removed all our unwanted landscaping and large shed, installed a new paver patio, installed planter area with tropical plants, new sod throughout the backyard, planted fruit trees, new sprinkler and irrigation system throughout the backyard, replaced fence on one side of the yard, installed new wrought iron gates in front of house and installed a new tree and some flowers in our front yard planter (a tree there before had fallen down recently in a storm). They even completed the project before the anticipated date which we were very happy about! Throughout the project I called, emailed and texted Tito to go over some of the fine details of the project to make sure everything was perfect. He always got back to me right away. I was particular about the types of trees and plants I wanted and Tito was able to come through with everything. Throughout the project he caught a few things that he wasn't really 100% happy about and fixed them; these were things I hadn't even thought of! It really felt like Tito wanted the end result to be just as perfect as I did! He made the whole experience for me as low stress as it could possibly be. Tito, the owner, was so easy to work with as were our project workers, Edgar and Dionicio, his helper. They did a phenomenal job on our paver project. They demolished out our cracked concrete and installed pavers in our entire backyard, installed a patio, and upgraded our pool to pebble tech. Tito came out to give us the quote. His quote was reasonable compared to others which were more expensive. Tito told us from the beginning that he would not "nickel & dime us" and he did not! There were small details that were not in the initial quote and he included them and was very responsive throughout. Tito, Christopher, Bianca, and the crew were prompt, professional, and went above and beyond in delivering our phase one project for our front yard. They took our vision of what we were looking to do and made it a reality while also adding some customization that really shows off their quality work. My wife and I were on a fixed budget and Tito worked with us within our budget to break out the project into phases so we could get the turf, the walls, patio, and columns we needed. The workers are amazing, they can take the most difficult challenge and make it look easy. They work fast while not sacrificing quality. They are friendly, professional and work clean by not treating your home like a commercial job site. Also, both Christopher and Tito stayed in contact during the project to address any questions or concerns I had each day. The process started off great. Met with owner and he came out and gave me a estimate for a stamped concreate patio. The price seemed fair so we went ahead and scheduled the work to be started about 3 weeks out. I had to put deposit down to schedule the work date, which we did. The day before the work was supposed to be started I called and spoke with the office and confirmed with the secretary they would be at my house between 7:30am and 8:30 am. I took the day off from work and woke up early to tidy up a little and move the cars out into the street to clear room for the workers. Then I waited and waited. 10 am rolled around so I called the office and the secretary told me she was not sure why the workers were not here and would have to call the owner. Then another hour passed so I call her back and was told she was waiting for owner to call her back. Finally she called back and said that the foreman did not show up to work and that they would have to re schedule for following day. My issue was that were they going to even give me a courtesy call to let me know this? I don't think they would have called if I had not called the office first. So we decided to cancel the work and we are going to seek another contractor that is more professional. read more

I even asked the girl who took my appointment "do I have to call when my appointment is about to come up?"
