This place has been around for years, I personally have been going for at least 10! They have the most amazing oil scents (I can't wear perfume as it messes with my sinuses) that all smell so good with all the latest and greatest designer scents. The couple that own it are the best, I go every 6 months to get my bottles topped up, I will be going here for the next 50 years for sure! read more

The owner is simply a bigot, regardless of his sexual preference, and my husband and I (skincare manufacturers) had the unfortunate experience in his store. We patiently waited and looked as he helped a couple at the counter and in the 20 minutes walk around , pick up and set aside items, this man never acknowledged us - period. Hint, an acknowledgment could be a head nod or smile - still unprofessional service, however nothing. The store floor is maybe the size of 15x17, he walked behind and around us - not a word. Another customer, a white lady entered and he verbally greeted her after we were there going on 2o minutes - and like the book - invisible man. She later went to the counter and he began to help her. Enough is now too much of accepting racial bigotry and accepting terrible service. I left my items on the counter, 5ft away from the white lady he began to service. I told my husband we are out and I refuse to settle and purchase. Well, we left and began to walk around, but I was hot and hurt. I turned around and walked back into tell him how uncomfortable he made us feel and after a week of anticipation of a productive visit - fxxk you and video taped with my phone as I spoke to help. The experience waS really great. There are lots of options but more importantly the store clerk is really good at recommending combinations. I discovered them years ago when I wanted to make the switch away from alcohol-based cologne to something more natural. Well, these are the guys to do it! With rows and rows of oils, they can mix and blend whatever you want - they can even "copy" your favorite colognes and perfumes - and a little goes a long way with oil! I was looking for a fun activity for my group of girlfriends when I came across Scents N' Suds. I called and spoke to the owner, Michael, who suggested that we come up on a Friday evening. He offered to close the shop a little early and let us bring wine for a private perfume making party! Perfect! Something unique, interesting, and custom fragrances! I highly recommend this experience! Michael has been in business for over thirty years, so he's super knowledgeable about oils and scents. He was also really patient about my need for a structured elimination approach to creating my special smell. We sniffed and sniffed he had hundred of bottles and were amazed by how different blends "reacted" together. We spent about an hour and a half and, in the end, each of us were thrilled with our little bottles of custom perfumes for about $25 each. My blend is equal parts white amber and blush peony, with a touch of cinnamon that gives the scent a warmth. I smell lovely. And I'm finding that the essential oil scent lasts way longer than a name brand perfume (plus doesn't flare up my allergies.) I would love to go back, and I probably will! read more

This place is amazing! I went a while ago and got one of their designer fragrances and then also created my own scent. I have gotten TONS of compliments and since these are oils the scent lasts so much longer. Even better is that the price was amazing! You can get your favorite $90 fragrance for under $20. I am extremely picky about fragrances and I have to say that the customer service here is superb! The owner spent nearly an hour with me while I tried on a bunch of different fragrances and even encouraged me to leave for a while so I could see how the scent would develop. I have been to this little shop for years for my scents and body lotions. Or scented body lotions as the case may be. Since I tend to be cyclical and make sure that my fragrances match the time of the year, they have no problem switching me from a deeper fragrance in the winter to a lighter fragrance in the summer. And based on what I've bought in the past, they'll suggest a new fragrance or two. Sometimes their suggestions are spot on, and sometimes not so much; there's nary a ruffled feather if I don't go with what they suggest. And they also mention layering scents, one on top of the other, for an added "zing." I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

The first time I walked into this shop, Scents 'n Suds, of oils I had found my place to buy my oils and I have always purchased my oils there. I have asked if he could create an oil for me, and let me tell you yes they have. My favorite oil is the Diva and no matter what I go into the store to buy I always walk out with that Diva scent.
