    We had contracted ABI for all our electrical on our new log home but when our building inspector…read moretold us we had to replace an entrance light just inside the door we called Adam back as the inspector would not sign off until the area was better illuminated. We asked Adam to come back as I had the light and he just needed to install it. He refused as he had already been paid. He had us in a jam as our building permit was about to expire. We then found an electrician( Vebro) in Voyager Village who owned a cabin in Voyager and came over, had the job done in 15 mins. and $100.00 later. So the saga continues when we plugged our dryer in the outlet that he or his (ABI)help installed the breaker kicked out. The combo washer/dryer was new so we thought there was something amiss with the unit as we had never used it before. We called Jeff's Appliance Repair Service and they reported that the outlet was wired wrong. I told Adam to check it out and he replied that the outlet was faulty. The appliance technician said that was NOT true as has very high tech equipment that my dryer was only getting 120 and not 240! Then my bill for that office call was $126.60 form Jeff"s Appliance. Now I asked Adam to reimburse me for the expenses I incurred due to his obvious indifference to my request to do his job. That was $226.60 but I still have not received any reimbursement for all the trouble and expense I incurred to this date. So folks if you want an electrician who has a short fuse and cannot accept responsibility for giving you what you signed up for be sure to call Adam/ABI Electric at 715-866-5115. The rate scale is not low enough for me to rate this guy so I was forced to check 1 star.

Sorry for the bad review however if your busy or not willing to do the work a simple call back is easy so the customer isn't waiting.

    Meyers Electric - Sauna Heater

    Meyers Electric

    I first used Meyers to wire a shed I was converting to a sauna on LCO (Stone Lake, WI), about 17…read moremonths ago. This involved pulling wire from my detached garage to the shed and installing a sub-panel in the shed / sauna. In the course of doing the work it became clear that there was insufficient power to the garage from the main panel in my cabin, and Meyers located an incorrect splice underground, and surmised that there would be another splice between the first splice and the cabin, because the wires were different colors. When it comes to electrical work, I want things done perfectly, not just adequately. So I had Meyers pull a new wire from my cabin to the garage. Also, since Meyers would be trenching for the new wire, it was the perfect opportunity to install path lights from my driveway to my cabin. Meyers was very accommodating, enabling me to order the light posts I wanted from Amazon and working around my schedule. We also made sure the new underground wire could accommodate sufficient current to add an EV charger - a project that I am now scheduling. While Meyers was here I also had a new outlet installed in my utility closet for a device that removes iron from well-water, which had been connected via a light socket outlet. Brian has been the lead electrician for the work, and was assisted mostly by Mike on the bigger aspects. I was so pleased with Brian's work, demeanor, and professionalism, that he has become my primary contact for electrical work. I just reached out to Brian about installing the EV charger; and because we are in the middle of the holidays I don't have a specific installation date. However, I am very comfortable having Meyers do the work done when I am not at my cabin, and expect it to be done right after the holidays.

    Signed an agreement for electrical work to be done at a business facility and the crew showed up…read morefor a few hours on a Friday and only got about 40% of the work done. They said the wrong breaker panel was shipped to them and they'd be back on Monday to finish up. That didn't happen. Multiple calls to the office and the ladies answering the phone can't give me any information or get the principal guy "Jake" to call me back. Emails have also gone unanswered and no one has still shown up for 3 days! I don't care how small of town you're in, the lack of communication is totally unacceptable. Every day this is delayed is costing our company revenue and added work. This is totally unacceptable and I suggest caution in dealing with this business.

    Unfortunately, we had a poor experience with Quilling Electric. We asked them to install two…read moreoutdoor security lights and replace 4 power outlets in our floor as they were bent and scraped. The outdoor light installation was fine but after they were done, we realized we could no longer control the power to the floor outlets using the wall switches which we could do with the old outlets. Apparently they were wired incorrectly. We asked them to correct the floor installation and also install a Ring doorbell. They removed the old doorbell and disconnected the wiring to the transformer but didn't know how to install the new doorbell. I ended up doing it myself after finding a demo on U-tube. When I received the invoice, it was clear that we were charged for the time it took to correct the floor outlets which had been incorrectly installed initially. Finally I sent an e-mail politely expressing my concerns regarding these issues along with my check for payment. I never received any reply to my e-mail however the checks were quickly cashed. A second e-mail also went unanswered. I try to give service people the benefit of the doubt whenever the results aren't quite satisfactory however there is no excuse for not responding to customers concerns. Terry W.{

    This electric company was used during the escrow period of our home's sale to fix some problems…read morethat were brought up during inspection. Their prices seemed reasonable enough when our realtor sent us the invoices. Our realtor gave us glowing reviews. This was her personal electrician, as well as the person working on our then-future home. We decided we would be loyal to their business and continue to use them for the duration of the time that we will be living in Menomonie. What a mistake. We called them several times before we received a response. Then, when they finally responded, we made an appointment for an estimate at 3:30 PM in the middle of the week. One hour, two hours, three hours, no electrician. We called them that same day, with no response, and left a message. We never received a call back. My husband called them again, and we still never heard back. I consider this type of behavior to be very unprofessional. We sat around waiting for them for hours, and they couldn't even bother to call us to let us know they wouldn't be able to make it out to our home. Save yourself a headache, and call someone else. They clearly are not interested in making money, and will not take your job.
