I recently needed to pick up some pressure treated lumber. They were close to the job so I chose to go there. They sold me 2x8x12's at the counter. When I got to the yard to pick them up I was told they don't have them but they have 16's. I jokingly said can I bring the 4' of waste back? I just received the invoice for the adjustment. Over twice as much more for waste!! I called the owner to speak with him about an adjustment. He told me I shouldn't have bought them. If the guy inside said we don't have them I would have gone someplace else! Never in my widest dreams did I think someone would charge me twice as much for something I cant use. Your inability to stock your yard properly should not cost me. I'm Done doing business with you!

It's not a big place but they do have many things for anyone looking to repair, replace, buy new or fix up....I saw many workers coming and going while I was there. Workmen also placed paint orders over the phone and they had it ready for them when they arrived. I came in for trim paint and puddy to patch some door holes and give it a fresh updating. Erica in the paint department was extremely helpful along with Joanne. Because I wasn't exactly sure of the trim color I should use, Erica gave me some paint samples along with a color wheel I could borrow and take home so I could choose the right color for my trim. That would never happen at Lowe 's or Home Depot.. color wheels are expensive. Warrenvillle Hardware only uses good paint like Benjamin Moore. They have a nice selection of wallpaper and blinds too. I can see why this business is so popular with the locals. It's been around since I was a kid, before all the farms were turned into mega homes and businesses. There is something about walking in here and immediately getting the help and attention I needed. I have been here many times over the years, , sometimes for little things like appliance light bulbs and sometimes for advise. Every time I'm here I have been extremely satisfied...

Please beware of this place. (8/18/20). I had an experience this past week, in which I brought my…read morelawnmower to be serviced. The service was for the blades to be sharpened. As I waited in the lobby with my son, the owner comes back to me and says we have a problem. He proceeds to take us back into the back area and he shows me that the shaft was stripped when he tried to takeoff the nut to pull off the blade. I looked at it and I tried not to be angry in front of my son. But I was annoyed on the inside. The problem that I have with this individual or establishment of business is that there was no accountability for what was done to my lawnmower. The owner apologized and told me he was the one that worked on it and that it was nothing that he could do to rectify the situation. He said "This kind of thing happens" and that he's had other lawnmowers that this is happened to before. My other problem with this after I is that after I left I researched YouTube videos. And I found that no one used a power tool to remove the nut off of any lawnmower. They all use the hand socket wrench or torque wrench. I asked the owner before I left to compensate me for this. He told me no, he's not held responsible. My wife called him to ask him to use one of his lawnmowers for the day and he still wants to charge me after breaking my machine. #justlostacustomer
