    Burger with burrata and sausage

I will dream about this ricotta stuffed crust for the rest of my life. Pizza and burgers were all delicious. The burrata pizza and ricotta stuffed pizza tasted very fresh. Ambiance is casual. Menus in English are available.

Worth all the hype. We ate here at least 5 times during our week long stay. The pizza was extraordinary!!! The best in Sicily. The service was amazing every time we went. Next time I'm in Sicily I will absolutely make a point of coming here again. Can't recommend it enough!

The pizza and the chicken wings were both delicious! I highly recommend stopping in here for lunch.

4.5 stars! At Schiticchio, a pizzeria with a modern setting on the island of Ortigia, they offer a pizza where the dough is folded over on four sides and baked, so that the fillings are contained but peeking out of the cracks. The selection that our waitress recommended was the Ficogrande, made with a stuffing of Sicilian truffle cream, Iblea mozzarella, endive, toasted Sicilian almonds, stracchino (a creamy cheese), speck, and olive oil. This combination of ingredients was absolutely delicious--the creamy mozzarella and stracchino cheeses came together perfectly with the bitter endive and the salty slices of speck, while the almonds added a surprising, earthy crunch. The dough of the pizza was thin, crispy, and chewy, and the best part was definitely the Sicilian truffle cream, which added an amazing truffle aroma to every bite. What a unique dish featuring local Sicilian ingredients!

Fantastic pizza. Big enough to share and not be stuffed but satisfied. Great selection of local beers. Nice location to people watch. No vehicle traffic.

Best pizza in Ortigia. Must go there again! Amazed by how flavorful it was. Disappointed I didn't go more times.

Loved this place! Very clean & good food. Portions large enough to share so get different meals to enjoy. Reasonably priced.

We used our small plates to serve salad, dressed with oil and vinegar, and just kept on using them, small and wet as they were, for our pizza because no one seemed to notice.

We were attracted to this place because it serves meat, cheese and salad greens of particular provenance (for the parents), as well as pizza (for the kid). The neighborhood appears to be going through a slight upward transition, as evidenced by Piano B and a couple other upscale restaurants. The decor is sort of friendly-warehouse-industrial, and the staff just this side of too-hip-to-care. We sat by the door on the ground floor (Piano A, perhaps?), which proved not only to be a great spot to people-watch, but was right next to their stash of microbrewed Italian beer, something that had been sorely lacking from our Sicilian visit thus far. Okay, I drank too much. There, I said it, and there were plenty of witnesses to back my story up. But after days of pleasant (but sleep-inducing) red wine and the occasional bottle of Moretti, I was ready for some interesting beer, and boy, did I get it! Baladin, Maltus Faber, 32 Via dei Birrai, Paul Bricus. . . things got a little fuzzy past that point. But here's the other thing -- we actually came here for the food, and the food was well worth traveling for. The cured meat selection Number 2 was out of this world, and the pizzas were flavorful, yet light as air. Siracusa has good restaurants that have made a coherent cuisine out of various influences over the past couple of millenia. Piano B's modern approach to the whole thing is refreshing and points to a food culture that is not yet finished evolving.
