When visiting Siracusa, I wanted to enjoy some pistachio pasta while dipping on a refreshing spritz. This place did not disappoint. There was a table outside available just as I approached the place so I was fortunate enough to not have to wait. The space inside is very small and only about 4 small tables on the outside so be prepared to potentially wait. I simply put in my order for the Pesto di Pistachio Pasta and Hugo Spritz and people watched while I waited. The spritz came quickly so I enjoyed the refreshing spritz while waiting for my pasta. When I got my order and took that first bite...pure bliss. The al dente pasta and the subtle pistachio pesto flavor was delicious. Bite after bite and sip after sip, the whole experience on that outdoor table while watching the time pass was relaxing and satisfying. As I dined, I saw more and more people come and wait and I learned they have another location very close by. The waiter would walk them over to that location if they so pleased. The staff mainly speak Italian so be prepared for a language barrier. However, they were all very patient and friendly so no need to worry :) read more

Phenomenal! Quaint with a warm feel of home. Literally everything we ordered was delicious. They don't not accept reservations, allowing everyone a chance to eat there. This is a small/charming and very delicious restaurant in Siracusa. Don't be surprised if there is a little wait because people know about it. Service was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the location is very central. I like how they don't take a midday riposo so you can eat/relax here when it's convenient for you. My friends and I had a few dishes. We enjoyed the sample appetizer which I highly recommend. I had the duck dish which was good, but probably wouldn't get it again. The swordfish looked yummy so if I'm ever back here, I'll probably have to hop on that. I recommend sticking with seafood dishes at this restaurant. A Putia is probably one of the best restaurants in Siracusa so don't miss out! read more

My husband and I shared a octopus appy which was made with just some celery and carrots along with olive oil and herbs. It was tremendous. This restaurant was recommended to us by the guy in our b&b. Although the interiors were a little ideosyncratic and haphazard the service was great and the food was so tasty. We were told that this place would serve up typical siciliana dishes. Well - it was YUM! I got a lovely pasta pistachio bacon and cream dish! Soooo good! This is a very tiny restaurant with delicious food. It's a little bit down from the main square of Ortygia but you'll know you've reached when you see the people waiting in the street for a table. We had delicious pasta, fish, and a yummy tiramisu. read more
