We went to start the process and met a very pleasant, warm lady by the name of Karen Hannah. She was not just helpful and pleasant....she was overly helpful and pleasant plus compassionate. She took her time to explain the process. She made sure that there were no questions and if so she answered them. From the planning to the viewing to the funeral Blake Lamb made this difficult process seamless. It has been a tough time for me and the family but thank u Karen & crew for making it easier. Another lady I would like to acknowledge is Marilyn Freeman. She took care of everybody during the viewing...she made the coffee, checked on us. The customer service was off the scale. In any event, I need a forum to express my appreciation for Mike Heeney's professionalism as a Funeral Director. Mike recently handled all arrangements for a member of my family. Each and every detail was handled with skill and compassion and in a very timely manner. Where we were unsure, Mike made terrific recommendations. Mike has good relationships with pastors, priests, rabbis, etc. of all different faiths in the Chicago area. He can tell you what works and what does not work at different churches, etc. He truly knows this business. Funeral services is a highly sensitive and personal service business. Do NOT entrust this area to one of the corporate entities. (A relative recently hired a different south side outfit that had been bought out by "Dignity"--the resulting arrangements were anything but dignified. They should have retained Mike.)
