Many people talk of how clear the water is (a lot of water by beaches in Wisconsin is muddy). Old pines provide shade on a small section of the beach and up on the grass too. A lot of tables and charcoal barbecues scattered about. Cell phones don't work here...bonus right! I've been to beaches in the Caribbean, Thailand and South America but this is my favorate North Woods syle beach. Sunset lake truly looks like something out of a movie or better!

I was just glad they were open because it was national miniature golf day! $8.25 per person was a good deal for some fun. As with many places now there is an upcharge for paying with a credit card so bring cash if you want to avoid that. Both of the people working there that we interacted with were friendly.

The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, making sure I found exactly what I needed. They took the time to explain different products and offered great advice based on my needs. The products were of high quality, and the shop had a wide variety to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the clean and organized layout of the store, which made it easy to browse through different options. The prices were reasonable, and I felt that I got excellent value for my money. Overall, it was a fantastic shopping experience, and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for paddles or outdoor gear!

Found this place on the trusy Yelp app and it definitely did not disappoint! This playground area is FIRST RATE. Huge, good for young and older kids and the whole place is fenced in so you don't have to keep TOO close an eagle-eye on your kids especially if they are a little bigger. Plenty of places for parents to sit both in the sun and in the shade which is nice and there are also decently lit and pretty clean (for a park) bathrooms right next to the playground. The sand pit was pretty big and nice although one of the shovels was broken. I also liked how it was a bit distant from the rest of the playground so that sand doesn't get tracked all over. Overall a very nice community playground we'd definitely stop again on the way through town.

That tends to keep the really long hitters to courses that have the 500 yard holes. It is late in the season and the course was not crowded. In spite of have a summer of rain, the course is in excellent condition. The greens are pretty fast and the ball can get away from you if you're not careful! Our new favorite place!

Pace of play can be an issue, but that all depends on who is in front of you. In my case, teenage employees at the course were playing in front of me and they were neither very quick nor very good. One even forgot his PW next to the green. Nuckleheads. If you are in the area and want a challenging 18, try this place. Some fairways are wide open but others are narrow and surrounded by trees. Be sure to bring plenty of golf balls.

The fairways contained grass that stood halfway up my shins. If you willing to travel to this course to play I would suggest taking your money to Stevens Point, Waupaca, or Wisconsin Rapids to play better courses for about the same price. Won't be returning. Think of miniature golf ‍ from a episode of the Brady Bunch. Even the prices are from the 70's too. A must after a tough round of golf is an old fashioned soft serve ice cream . So break out your old bell bottom jeans, perhaps the wife might find that tube top too from her college days and have a Groovy time at Newman's.
