Thousand Oaks Auto Detailing is priced very reasonably, I decided to go with them for my first time detailing my car. Victor was very communicative when booking a date via call and text! When the day came, Victor and his team arrived 30 minutes earlier, but let me know that I didn't need to rush if I wasn't ready. Once I got all my things out, they went straight to business. The team was very thorough and Victor was very honest on certain small spots I pointed out that he can't fix and didn't want to damage more if he tried which I totally understand. But having kids and a St. Bernard whose hair is impossible to get out of any fabric.. they got it all out! With the overall service, friendliness, attention to detail, price? I'm very impressed! Things started out great, they responded quickly with a fair price and took a same day appointment. When they got to my place they were friendly and got right to work washing the exterior of my Jeep. They asked my about 10-15 into the job if they could plug into my power because it would be quieter for my neighbors if they didn't have to run their generator. That was fine and I appreciated them asking first. 30-40 min into job I get a text saying their steamer wasn't working. Not "hey we have to stop" or "hey we are going to leave." I didn't see this until 10 min after it was sent but when I did see it I went out to talk them and they were just packed up and gone. I understand things happen and honestly wasn't upset and would have just rescheduled... but no one there to talk to at which point I was FURIOUS. Not upset they couldn't finish the job, furious they thought it's ok to abandon my vehicle with no communication. I text them immediately asking why they left and why they thought it was ok to leave the Jeep in the middle of the road open with the keys in it where it could have been stolen or hit by a neighbor trying to get around it. They claim they knocked on the door but that's nonsense. I was sitting 15 feet from it with two large dogs that go nuts at the sound of a strong breeze let alone a knock at the door. I have a door bell, it wasn't rung. There was no phone call. One vague text saying a streamer wasn't working which was only one part of the overall job. They literally just said the hell with it and left. I started texting them immediately asking them how they could just abandon a vehicle like that with no communication and they just kept giving childish idiotic answers and tried to throw it back on me. There is no way for them to justify that. Unprofessional and lack of concern for your vehicle is an understatement.
