When i got to this office, everything changed for me. Dr Franklin is an expert on what he does. He is gentle when it comes to numbing and he is efficient in his work. His hygienist love what they do and do a great job with making the patients feel comfortable. The ladies that work up front are awesome! They are always cheerful and do what they can to accommodate you when life comes up. They will call to check on you after work is done. The vibe is very patient focused. It started with just me as a patient. Now my whole family comes to this office. My kid even mentioned how painless the process was. If you're lucky enough to get in, you will see what i mean.

I came here because I have major anxiety about the dentist and was referred by one of my own patients, hoping for understanding and care. Later, when I called because I was in serious pain, he prescribed Motrin, which I already take. When I explained that, he said he couldn't prescribe anything stronger because he wasn't sure how it would interact with Trazodone -- a medication I clearly listed in my chart as one I'm allergic to. That was a huge red flag showing he hadn't even read my chart. Instead of admitting his mistake, he became dismissive and made me feel like I was seeking drugs instead of real pain relief. I was made to feel beneath the people he normally serves -- even though I work just as hard as anyone else and have excellent insurance. I don't understand why I had to be treated differently. I'm not saying don't go here -- maybe he treats others better -- but my experience was unprofessional, disappointing, and left me feeling disrespected.

Dr. Payne listened very closely and addressed all of my concerns while taking into consideration my medical history. I was able to get in for the extraction 2 weeks later (1/19). I'm not even 48 hours post extraction and I have not had any pain, and very minimal swelling and discomfort (manageable with ibuprofen/Tylenol). Dr. Payne called me the evening of the procedure to check in on me. I had a terrible previous experience with an oral surgeon in Elk Grove with my bottom wisdom teeth, so I was not expecting such a smooth and easy recovery. I am so happy I went through with it and that I was recommended to Dr. Payne.

Highly recommend him if you do go. Now the visit itself, scared and crawling out of my skin. But the staff was super nice and friendly, and quick about things. They had a lot of cool tech stuff the when I was a kid well, never was around , and the tech just wasn't there. I'm in my 40s just fyi. The lady at the end of my visit went over all my bad teeth and costs, ouch. lol. But I knew I haven't been to the dentist in soooo long. But anyways, I really recommend you trying this place out. Not sure why it has a 3 ish star rating. So far I think they are very friendly, quick with their work but not crazy fast there in a hurry. Try them out, get that exam done.
