Harbes Family Farm is exactly as described, there's a farm to feed animals, a stand to shop for fresh veggies as well as unique ice cream flavors. My favorite was the Apple Cider Doughnut Ice Cream. The view by the picnic tables was beautiful, and I honestly wish we had planned to stay longer just to enjoy it. It's a smaller area for picking compared to what I've experienced upstate, but it would be perfect for families with young children or anyone who can't walk very far. This was my first time apple picking on Long Island, and I loved seeing the dwarf trees - it was really neat to have the apples at easy picking height!
