I love this place for their organic strawberry field! It's not a big field but it's got enough strawberries for you to pick. Strawberry season is during the month of June and you can find the open-close hours on their website. They are usually open for picking on Friday-Sunday during the month of June. There's no entrance fee and each quart is $4.50. They have two separate fields you can choose to pick from or you can go to both. Buy the quart at the little cabin and you're set to pick away! The little cabin also sells veggies. The strawberries taste delicious! Probably the best strawberries I've ever had! They're not sour at all and has the perfect amount of sweetness to them. Organic is the way to go.

My young children were excited to pick strawberries, but the extreme heat made it difficult for them to continue. Since they were unable to finish filling their individual baskets, we combined what they had picked and politely asked if we could exchange it for one of the many pre-filled baskets available at the front counter. We had already paid and were simply trying to accommodate our children's comfort and safety. The older blonde woman working at the front was incredibly rude. Rather than listening to our request, she raised her voice and spoke harshly to both me and my child. There was no reason for the interaction to become confrontational, especially when dealing with a family and a child who was clearly uncomfortable from the heat. Customer service and kindness go a long way, and unfortunately neither was shown during our visit. Because of this experience, we will not be returning and cannot recommend Patty's Bunches and Berries to other families.

The store is not well-lit though it's a barn so take it with a grain of salt. They have some unique items if you take a look. Came here last year during the pandemic after Mother's Day weekend, there were plenty of plants and vegetable plants to choose from. Guess not a lot of people came to buy plants last year so we got a unique items last year including black cherry tomatoes, yellow watermelon, various types of lavenders, and bunch of other plants. We took a chance on a dried up banana tree that was for $10 and gave it as a gift as well as the other items we brought ($4 each, I believe). The tree survived. It's currently thriving and we are waiting for the tree to produce bananas. Last year and this year they also had baby chicks in the greenhouse. It's makes my day to see the chicks and you know it's Springtime. We went again this year after Mother's Day weekend and there were a few places and vegetables available. I picked up lavender grotto ($5), citronella ($5), and some succulents ($10). No dying or last leg plants this year. The choices were more limited since folks came out to buy the fruits and vegetables early this year now that places are opening up again. Guess we need to go early.

We get many of our plants and vegetables from this farm since we try to eat mostly organic. Inside the barn they have a lot of interesting things so it's definitely worth taking a look around in there. They also have things for the kids to do and you can eat outside on their picnic benches. It's a nice place to visit while you're driving down Sound Avenue. I recommend stopping and checking this place out.
