This is a hidden gem. They have a tiny sign and can easily be missed on the way to the bigger farms. I was on the lookout for it because my sister recommended it. I got fresh raw milk. The older gentleman working there was very nice and helpful. If you want fresh eggs you have to get there very early. They charge for the glass container for the milk but if you return it clean the next time you buy you won't have to pay the bottle fee. Really great find. If you live far it's recommended that you bring a cooler to keep the milk. They will also hold it for you in their fridge until after you're done exploring the area which is really nice.

The owners from the website. Aren't they ADORABLE ?

What you Do visit Ty Llwyd for: - Amazing fresh eggs - Raw Milk - Random assorted vegetables, whatever is fresh and in season (I've had both kale and potatoes) - Animal watching (baby calf, free range chickens) - Occasionally meat/sausage What you Don't visit Ty Llwyd for: - A sit down experience - Attentive customer service (C'mon they're real farmers guys, they're friendly but always working!) - Oddles of parking (drive around the tree, please) - Supermarket priced items. Sorry, nothing will be that cheap. - A fully stocked farm stand. They have what they have. This is a real working farm, with an honest, sweet folks working here who treats their animals well. I've shown up a few times mostly to buy eggs and had various experiences. Once when I inquired about kale and there was none in the shoe box sided farm-stand they went and dug it up for me. Fresh. On the spot. Another time I played with the most ADORABLE baby calf (yes, on a leash) for a good 20 mins. They didn't mind and were happy to answer questions. With that being said, I was also in and out plenty of times with limited interaction on a weekday. They were busy, I get it! Long island needs more places like this!

    Such a cutie!

I came to Goodale during normal business hours (according to Google anyway) and what I pulled up to looked like an abandoned farm. There was no one to be found anywhere. There was no produce, a few dead plants, a few things that looked like they were going bad in the indoor freezers and refrigerators of this place, some rotting onions and a cash register that was unattended. This all wouldn't be that troubling, but this is a working farm with lots of animals on it, so I wondered how long these guys had been alone for. I took a walk around and everyone seemed to have water at least and some hay that looked decently fresh, but the goats here looked starved for attention. There was some feed left by the front of the store so we threw some in for them. No idea what's going on at this place and whether or not it's actually still running, but it was shocking to see the state this place is in (and surprising to see reviews of people who say they've purchased fresh produce or fresh anything recently).

After ordering produce from them for the first time, I threw everything in the trash. Most of the…read morevegetables had started browning and did not appear to be fresh. Part of my order was in an Aldi bag, which left me confused. The bag that contained the green beans had a gas-like smell. I won't make another purchase from them.

Upon entering there were no other customers in the store. The store was neat and clean. A blonde woman standing at the back counter looked up from her phone at us and then went back to her phone. As another couple walked in someone else came out from the back and greeted the new couple. We worked our way back to the woman at the back counter and inquired about a cheese board. She told us we could order one and the amount of time it would take to have one made. We asked if they did cheese boards to sit and have to eat now, and I quote, "No we are not a cafe, we don't serve food in store like that". As we continued around the shop many more couples entered the store. We worked our way back around to the cheese counter to place our order. Once it was our turn the blonde woman, who originally snubbed us as we walked in, asked what we needed. As we started to order she asked us to hold on and called another girl from the back to continue helping us. The other girl was very friendly, and informational and even made some recommendations. We purchased a number of cheeses and other accoutrements. As we were checking out, a couple walked in and asked if they did fondue. The blonde woman was friendly and set them up at a table in the back to have fondue for 2. We proceeded to take our items and leave. If you like Brie you need to try the Truffle Brie! It is absolutely delicious! So much so that my girlfriend went back in to buy more for guests we were having over the next day. The cheese and the selection is great. The shop is cute and clean and apparently depending on who you are or who you're with, depends on how you will be treated.
