As I was filling up, I noticed that each gas pump has a sizeable full color LCD screen over it playing various news stories (see the pix I uploaded to the review). After filling up, the durn pump would not print off a receipt, so I went inside to get one. I hit the Men's Restroom while inside. I was pretty impressed with how clean and cool looking the Men's room was. Large stone tiles on the floors and walls. The toilet and sink were Jet Black. Modern dispensers for both hand soap and Purell, plus the paper towel dispenser. There was some cool decorations as well, framed artwork and more!

Things are missed, not wiped down or vacuumed, windows look smudged in the sunlight. Details such as door hinges and edges are not wiped or cleaned. In the past when your car was cleaned an employee would inspect it and touch up the small missed details, bug stains on the outside, wipe down on the inside and only then call you to your car and THANK YOU! I purchased the platinum this Friday and came back on Saturday for an interior touch up. Very politely I pointed out to the manager on duty all the missed sand, dirt and dust and asked if they could just go through it one more time and get the interior done a little better. I immediately got push back that sand is hard to vacuum and if they blow the dirt out it would only get on the seats and then the seats would be dirty!? When I pointed to all the dust and that the interior wasn't even wiped down he turned and walked away looking annoyed. He grabbed a rag and a spray bottle and without a word started walking back. He looked so aggravated that I told him to forget it. I didn't need another half ... job. What ever happened to pride in a job well done and customer service.

Yes, there can be a wait at times, and it can be frustrating but they do their best. And that's to be expected at a busy shop and the quality of the service makes it worth it. I especially wanted to recognize two employees who truly stood out during my most recent visit. Jose, who performed my brake fluid service and cabin air filter replacement. He was very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and clearly takes pride in his work. He answered my questions, explained everything well and made me feel confident that my vehicle was in good hands. I also want to recognize Samantha at the front counter. She was awesome, great personality welcoming, and kind to every customer who walked through the door. What impressed me the most was watching her go out of her way to speak Spanish with several Hispanic customers, even though Spanish is not her first language. She didn't have to do that, but she is teaching herself Spanish so she can better serve others. To me, that speaks volumes about her commitment to excellent customer service. Both Jose and Samantha worked incredibly hard during my visit and made the experience a positive one. Employees like them deserve recognition because they represent outstanding customer service.

In the many years I have driven I've never gone into pay for gas I've always done pay at the pump. So I left sans fuel. Harris Teeter a tip make the pumps equipped so you can pay at the pump and redeem your points there.
