Easy gas station that's about 3/4 of a mile from Sully Road and is probably one of the last gas stations before you get to the Dulles airport property. Easy in, out requires some planning. Pump area is wide enough for two cars, the gas pumpted quickly and the receipt printer worked. That's A-OK. read more

I took my car to get new front brake pads and rotors the week of 7/17. Upon picking up my car, I notice the back right tire was completely flat. I addressed this with the Manager (Ameen), who told me he had nobody available, and instead of addressing the issue he abruptly left the shop. I waited around for 30 minutes, and then went around back to find a mechanic myself. A kind gentlemen took a look at my car, and found a screw in the tire and an identical one nearby my car in the shop's lot. He then "plugged" the tire and sent me on my way. I left a message for the shop owner for when he returned. When I talked to him a couple of days later he refused to take responsibility, regardless of the fact that it was a new tire with less than 5K miles, that he left it to me to get someone to fix the tire, and that the tire was damaged on his property. I've been a loyal customer of this shop for over 5 years, and am disappointed I have to take my business elsewhere now that Josh (the former shop manager) is gone. I encourage others to reconsider continuing to bring their cars here in light of the management change. read more

STAY AWAY. After getting an emissions test I sat in my car and there was this plug on the seat. I asked the inspector if it was his. He hesitated, said yes, and took it. Around 15 minutes later my friend calls to tell me he is coming by to get an ODBII reader he left plugged into my car from a couple days ago. Turned out the device that the inspector told me, to my face, was his was my friends device. I went back and the manager said there was no way to contact the inspector until Monday. I told my friend what happened and he wanted it back. It took him several calls, and a threat to report the inspection station to the state, in order to get the station to look into it. The manager was now able to get in touch with the inspector and my friend was able to get his device back. Instead of apologizing for a misunderstanding, or simply getting the device back, they tried to call me a liar and, ultimately, told me never to come back for an inspection again. If the management will, so ardently, support one employee taking advantage of a customer's ( my ) ignorance, you can bet they have, are, and will be taking advantage of other customers as well. read more

My review is for the car wash. The car wash here to me is one of the best ones in the area. It's a touch less wash but the guy will clean your car however you want for a little extra tip. I usually give him a $10-$15 tip and he will brush your rims, windows, and dirt off the bottom of your car when I drive my regular cars. I still tip him when I drive my nicer car to clean the wheels but I go through the touch less with no body cleaning. read more

Had a car inspected by Trung Nguyen. He failed the car due to "both side front lower control arms bushing broken", and then refused to explain this issue. Ended up getting a second opinion and they found NOTHING wrong with the suspension and passed the car inspection. You know that feeling that sometimes you can't trust your mechanic? Well Trung Nguyen is the epitome of that. It looks like there are other mechanics at this location that are more trust worthy based on reviews so I recommend using them or go somewhere else with a car inspection or issues. read more

Okay, so I came here to get gas about three months back and I bought a car wash with my gas. Usually get a car wash that day, but it was very busy. Everyone had the same idea as I did. I am a very busy person so the next time I came to get a car wash it was busy again! So now it's three months later and I went to go use my car code and noticed that my code expired! I paid 12 dollars for my car wash, but I would have never thought that it would expire. So I said hay let me go in and talk to someone about my problem and they said no that I should come in within the time frame! This was very disappointing!!!! I recently took my car here for state safety inspection and oil change, and was impressed with the level of service at McLearen Shell. It's an old Toyota that I use as a commuter car, so I wasn't sure how much work it would need to pass. Josh looked it over *before* performing the actual state inspection so that they could tell me what was likely to pass or fail. That way, they could fix what needed to be fixed and order the parts proactively. I came back the next day, when they got the part in, and they were able to install it and get the inspection done first thing in the morning. If you have a little time to spare and don't want to drop off your car, this gas station also has a dedicated inspection line where you can wait in your car. Also, a nice bonus: the gas station is open 24 hours so you can drop off/pick up your car in the evening or early morning and leave the keys with the gas station cashier. I went there for an easy oil change and figure i'd ask them to check my AC. That grumpy old man was like... "It's not free! That cost $50. Free part is taking the temperature." I'm like... dude... you've got to be kidding me. 1. Advanced Auto Parts does it for $25. 2. Japanese Auto Care where I normally take my car will do it for free. Saturday August 17-2019 I had the 90k service performed on VW . During that time Kendall the mechanic @shell also addressed the Air bag light that was on and that I had previously had taken to The dealership and was charged $129 for it to not be fixed instead they turned off the light and then pinched the wires as you can see by the enclosed picture , turned out to be a horrible experience at the dealership , however Kendall @ Shell was very professional and addressed the issue and it didn't cost me and arm and a leg . I would highly recommend Kendall as he's very professional and knowledgeable and is fair and honest which is rare these days to find a mechanic that possesses those qualities . I've been getting gas here for years thanks to the Giant points program and only recently started using them for service on my 15 year old Toyota. Most recently, on July 2, I brought my car over at 4pm because the battery wasn't holding a charge. I fully expected to leave the car for the weekend since it was a holiday the next day and it was already almost the end of the work day. Imagine my delight when Steve Sladek (the manager) waved over a mechanic and had the car looked at right away! They did all the testing on the spot and even better news was that the only problem was a sick battery. He replaced it and took care of some other little issues that older cars have, and I was back in business in 30 minutes!! This is not the first time they have pleasantly surprised me with both the service and pricing and Steve and his crew are now my go-to guys for car issues. The nice gentleman working there helped my wife and I wash our truck. During the car wash there was a mechanical problem with the car wash that had to be reset. Upon driving out to inform them, he was already standing out with a smile on his face and turned it back on for us. He went the extra mile by standing there to ensure the car wash ran the full cycle. Stopped for gas and got out of there as fast as possible. The pumps have the annoying video playing ad's with loud volume. The user can not turn it off or turn the volume down. I am tired of being marketed to and videos are very annoying. Loud ad's are very annoying. I am already spending over $50, so give me a break, will you!!! They are so greedy for an extra few cents of revenue that they don't care if they annoy every customer that goes in. I'll never pull in again, even if I'm out of gas. Nothing less than 5 star for their service. Steve was really honest of what I need to do in my car. I went their for regular oil change as well as wanted to know why my check engine lamp were on. He told me that they will do diagnostic as a part of oil change and will let me know if there's any issue. Unlike jiffy lube or any other service stations I have been to, they charge for every small thing and will try to sell most of their add in service apart from regular oil change. I would definitely recommend others to come here if you really want someone to check your car and not sell their product any services alone. read more

I called them around 4:10 on July 16, 2013 to ask if they had time to complete an emissions test. They said absolutely so I made the 10 minute drive. When I got there, the sign stating the State Inspection and Emissions testing station was closed. The cashier put two and two together and motioned me inside. She said she would ask the mechanic if he could complete it. A minute later the mechanic Randy stormed into the snack shack and acted like I had personally offended him. He yelled "YOU CALL AT 10 AFTER 3 [sic] AND EXPECT ME TO DO THE EMISSIONS". I responded, "I expected you to do the emissions because I called first and was told you would be able to." He kept yelling at me during which the manager walked out of his office and said "It has been hot and a long day and Randy wanted to close at 3" to which I replied "Is this how you let your employees treat customers?" He just shrugged and told me to come back tomorrow. I told him absolutely not and I would take it elsewhere. My family has been coming here since we moved to the area in 1992. He charged me and failed my car because headlights are not original. I went to other place and they passed my car with no problem. Once again, the professionals at McLearen Shell have saved the day. I took my MINI to the dealer in sterling to get my complimentary oil change and standard service. They talked me into a $250 coolant flush (I didn't need at 52k miles) and told me I needed about another $1500 of repairs. After reminding them for the 3 time I have the maintenance plan, they repaired one under warranty. This is when the honest professionals at McLearen Shell saved the day. I took it there to verify my service was done and have the car checked out. They found a MINI service bulletin that specifically said my issue did NOT need to be fixed....and certainly not for $1000. Seems to be my go to station over the past year or so. Its not close to home but it is close to where I run my errands. And its the closest one that takes my Giant Rewards.
