During the check-in process they are unorganized and see you as an inconvenience, rather than a welcome camper. We were asked to pay a price that was double what was discussed during the reservation process. When I questioned that price, they seemed to not remember nor offer solutions to make it right. In fact, I was told: "if I don't agree to pay the amount, I would be escorted off of the property." I have never been so disrespected as a guest of a hospitality driven business. You should highly consider another campground in this area.

When our party arrived (during separate times since we were in different vehicles) a portion of our party were asked to pay double of what was negotiated on over the phone. After we brought this to their attention they acted baffled and confused. Their reasoning for the price increase was that we did not arrive at the exact same time (which they never mentioned over the phone). Given the fact that we traveled from Detroit for the event we had no choice but to pay the outrageous rate which they knew and took full advantage of. Overall, this was the worst experience I had at a campground and I will not be back. For your sake, please consider another campground in the area!

The sites were nice and large; believe they were $30 per night (i believe) - omg the restrooms were cleaned very frequently. Please note - i didn't see anywhere on site that sold wood so make sure load up before arriving. Bring your kayak as well - easy access to the dock and also lots of people fish near the early. I will be exploring more next and i will return. Happy camping!!!

This is a little gem of a campground that's pleasantly filled with comforts and modern amenities. The campground itself is very small, but it's quiet, & has a steady body of water. I will be staying here again. I spent the weekend sitting in my hammock and enjoying hearing the water. 5/6 of the cabins face the water just as an fyi, so it's like a private paradise. The town of SoHa is really fun too and a great place to wine, dine, & explore. The cabins are basic and rustic with one plug in to charge your electronics. There is one light in there but it does get dark at night. Bring a nightlight. The queen bunk beds are great and comfortable. I would say more like 2-3 people could comfortably sleep in a cabin due to space and the cabins get hot at night! There's showers, there's toilets, there's cabins- oh my! The showers run on a unique token system. 1 token=$1=3 minutes of hot, private, shower. Tokens are purchased on site. the showers are game changers because they're open 24 hours with cameras outside so the owners monitor who goes in/out and your safety. As a queer person, I felt comfortable & safe at this campground.

The pool looked so inviting if it would have been warmer, May 31st. The only thing negative I would say is no trees, hot days would be unbearable and the golf carts speeding around playing loud music till late in the evening. I have a seasonal at another campground and we're not allowed golf carts, I understand why now. Everyone is there to relax not to be entertained. Silver Creek Horseman's camp has about 80 sites offering primitive camping. 10 of the 80 sites are…read morereserved for no horses and almost all are shaded. The camp offers 320 acres of camping and trail riding on the park grounds. Since there is state land adjacent, there are many more additional miles to keep you busy for days. The camp offers pump water and pit toilets but Silver Creek also runs through the park so it easy to take the horses down to the creek to water. Some of the sites have high line poles for 3 horses but most only have poles for two (feel free to email me if you want to know which sites have three). You are definitely not allowed to tie to trees. Portable pens are allowed but they must stay in the high line area. The park is very clean and sites are checked after each person leaves. If you don't clean up your site, you will receive a fine in the mail--which I love because I get sick of people not picking up after themselves. Fees are $10 per night and reservations can be made on the website notes in this posting. There is also a day staging area and there is a trail fee of $2 per horse. There are a lot of wonderful opportunities for activities that go on at the park. WHAM puts on a judged trail ride that is a ton of fun and there is also the Cancer Ride which is a benefit ride. Sites are usually gone way in advance for the cancer ride. This is truly a wonderful place to camp and it is the best place to pass the fall, summer and spring! Say hi when you get there. I will say that the campsite next to it was basically right on top of mine so it would be great for a group site! It was also located right by the bike/hike trail, so that was good for me but could see how it wasn't as private as other sites. Loved the check in process and great location related to Kalamazoo.

We would still come back. Thanks, Mark for working with me to find the perfect and level site. Ellie at the desk is pleasant and is helpful as well. All good. Just get the stink out of the shower water. We did not have that problem at our site thankfully.
