I purchased three "waterproof turnout" sheets. Cost me like $250 each. Within 2-3 rains all of the waterproof-ness disappeared and my horses got soaked. I asked them to replace the first one that went "bad" as I thought it was just a fluke, but then that one failed also. I then asked for all of my money back (like almost $800 it was) and they only gave me store credit. I SO dont want to EVER do business with them again. Jerks. read more

We were first timers looking for cowboy clothes. The store is an equestrian supply and tack store. No "cowboy" clothes were found, but the store has a variety of English and Western clothes, boots, saddles, tack and bottles/containers for horses needs. The store was clean and organized. Do yourself a favor and order whatever you need from Amazon instead! I bought a product (Sane & Sound) that cost me $188.83 and gave my horse 1 serving (2 scoops) out of the bucket and he refused to eat mixed in with his feed. They refused to take it back for a refund. If I were to have ordered it on Amazon they would have taken it back, no questions asked. A company like this should have a better return policy for such an expensive item. read more

Unless you are 110% certain of what you want, Schneider's will not accept an exchange, and they will charge you for return shipping and an additional return fee, making your item probably more expensive than driving to any local brick and mortar store. However, this last time I made a purchase (and I mean this will be the last time), the items arrived damaged. I asked them to send a call tag to return the items and they would not--the customer service rep "heard back from Warranty today, and we can't send a call tag for them". PAY CLOSE ATTENTION WHEN YOU ORDER ONLINE, ESPECIALLY FROM A SMART PHONE. I am seriously disappointed with shipping costs AND policy. When placing my order online, shipping selection somehow defaulted to 2-day FedEx for SIXTY SIX DOLLARS and since I didn't receive an option to review the order before placing, I did not catch the mistake until the order was placed and I received the confirmation via email a few minutes later. I contacted Schneider Saddlery IMMEDIATELY by phone AND email asking for it to be fixed, after all I was excited about their widely advertised free shipping when you spend over $100... They were closed already, and unfortunately they failed to reply to my emails until the order had already shipped and now are not willing to make it right. Furthermore, due to the holiday, I am not going to receive my order, the cost of which was nearly doubled by this special shipping disservice, for five flipping days. I am seeing red.. Their horse clothing is as fabulous as the top of the line, off the charts expensive blankets, turnouts, sheets etc you will find any where else but at far less cost. More importantly, the unusually high gussets avoid shoulder rubs, ruggedness and attention to detail is second to none. It is the 20th of December and it hasn't arrived so I decided to give Schneider Saddlery a call. They told me that my item was back ordered and it would arrive a week AFTER Christmas. I've been a Schnieder's customer for 20+ years, I love their blankets. I ordered a blanket a couple weeks ago, I followed the measurement directions and ordered a size up because my horse measured at 75. When I received the blanket it was 4 inches too long. I had a friend measure him and she measured 75 as well. I had to send the blanket back and a cooler that I ordered, it cost 80 dollars. I did contact customer service and was told I should have contacted them for a 20 dollar mail voucher, I did not see any documentation about that in the box. The customer service rep also said my horse must be narrow and why the blanket didn't fit. The bottom line is that the blanket was much to large and didn't correlate with the measuring instructions. I also was disappointed with customer services comment about my horse, btw he is a very stout boy. I took my business elsewhere! read more
