I was greeted upon entering the store. It was late in the evening. The store would be closing soon. It is always brightly lit inside of Schnucks. I was there to get a couple of snacks. But like always I ended up purchasing more items than I planned. I couldn't resist the Maui Monk Pretzels. I went down the wrong isle and saw Imos pizza .I had to grab it. We gone here a few times for quick stops while waiting for our food to be prepared at Wingstop. It's a convenient location if you're in the area and need to complete a quick grocery store run. I like how over the summer when the temperature was boiling they offered customers FREE cold bottles of water. I thought that was a really nice gesture. This location is large and has nice variety of items that you do not see at every location. I understand that most stores cater to their demographic audience and since this store sit in the heart of a mixed demographic it has more of a variety which is appealing. They have a large deli selection but the bread selection is slim pickings, how it that so. This store may want to take the same approach Schnucks Mason is taking to deter shop lifting and add wheel locks on to the carts. It locks the cart in place when customers attempt to steal. This location has a security presence on site which is hit-n-miss of course. The aisle are fully stocked which is cool and produce and vegetables seem to be up to par. Had a terrible experience at the page store. Went in to buy a gift card for a birthday gift. Got the card got in line went to lane 8 as directed handed cashier a gift card to purchase she just looked like she didn't know how to process the transaction so there's an employee standing there he takes the card and rips it open. I have never seen them rip it open it clearly says don't buy if opened. So like I said he rips it open instead of scanning barcode on outside I thought maybe this is something new. So I pay for it when I get in my car the card has been torn in a zigzag manner.So I go back in store ask for manager because this is a gift that has been torn open and there is an barcode on outside to scan. The manager comes up very rudely says after I told her what happened "well we can't give you a refund" I said look at the card it is clearly ripped open so the guy who opened it says oh I will put a piece of tape on it. I 'am explaining again this is a gift and it isn't torn open it clearly says don't accept if opened. She said the same thing in a don't give a care manner regardless I can't refund you. I did't get rude I was raised better than to address people like that. So I said I always buy card here on Hoildays and Birthdays never ever had an incident like this. She never responded so I left how rude and just don't care about your problem this store created. Sad day when people make mistakes and you loose your money and they just don't care. I will drive far out than shop at this Schnucks again. There needs to be more training with new people on what is procedure for gift card transactions and better customer service. read more

This is a copy of the email letter I sent to the Schnucks Grocery Store, 9074 Overland Plaza, in Overland, Missouri. I attempted to shop in your Overland, Missouri store, 9074 Overland Plaza, on Tuesday 10/15/2024.  I waited patiently in line until it was my turn to go to one of registers to pay for my items.  The intercom system advised me to "go to aisle 10" which is what I did.  When I pushed my cart into the aisle the cashier angrily stated, "I didn't tell you to come up here".  I assumed she was having a bad day so I politely informed her that the automated intercom system advised me to "go to aisle 10".  Upon hearing my response she got even angrier and more loudly repeated, "I DIDN'T TELL YOU TO COME UP HERE"!  She then turned her back to me and proceeded to push some grocery carts toward the opposite end of the store. I left my items and the grocery cart in aisle 10 because she clearly didn't want my business.  I spent my money at Save-a-Lot instead.  The cashier was a homely, older african-american woman with short hair that is decidedly gray around the temples.  I will be telling every senior citizen I know about the experience I had at the Overland store.  I do have one question.  Is Schnucks a publicly traded company? read more

I normally have a good shopping experience at this store, and I did this time also. My problem is with the Deli dept. I noticed ribs with BbQ sauce and pork steaks next to it with the same sauce. I got a whole rib and 2 pork steaks. They tasted like they were frozen for at least a year, for you can taste the freezer burn on both meats. Food is already more expensive than ever and I wasted over $30.00 for these items that were not eatable. read more

I came in mid-morning and was surprised by the turnstile entrance on the east side of the store--not exactly welcoming. I was surprised (bad) by the amount of liquor and that is was located front and center by the cash registers. I was also surprised by how spacious the aisles (good) and some areas of the store were like the floral area and the vegetables (bad). Oh, well... I did find everything I was looking for. I had to wait for the two workers at customer service to stop chatting so they could reset my self check-out machine. Lots of parking. Other than these minor things, my visit was uneventful. 24 hour Close-out pricing on higher cost goods can be found In the middle of the night- I grab one of the little baskets & shop for discontinued high dollar items. (Seems people in this neighborhood don't appreciate these items) When the basket gets full or heavy, I check-out. Produce is hit/miss (small selection & low turnover) so I would never depend on this location as a go-to store. This is a bad neighborhood grocery store. Security guard I've been approached in parking lot for a ride Low turnover of produce However the employees are OK & they do have some bargains that the locals seem not to appreciate/buy. read more

It's always a challenge at this location but it's close to the highway and off Page. I called to find out if they still sell Shasta Diet soda because I haven't seen it lately. The customer service department answers and when I ask she says, "I have no idea" and puts me on hold where I still wait 11 minutes later. I know I could've hung but sometimes you really just want to see how bad the customer service is... smh. So now I'm going to hang up and call back because I'm getting ready to pass this location on my way to my destination.... Sickening. read more

Although this Schnucks is older, it's better than the Brentwood location that I typically visit. The store is large which lends itself to wider aisles and larger selections. I stopped in today to hit the salad bar at lunch. They have a few different options for hot food to detract me before I got to the salads. Nothing was healthy... egg rolls, fried rice, mac & cheese, wings, nacho bar. I'm sad to say that my lunch box was filled when I left without anything green in it. Oh well... You know it's pretty ridiculous how few 24-hr grocery stores there are in St. Louis. This is one of them, but it's also pretty dingy and depressing. I haven't even bothered going to the butcher and deli here. In college, I would intentionally go to grocery stores in areas with more black people to get pork products, but I can go to the Asian grocery stores for that now. The only redeeming factor that this place has is that it IS a 24-hr place. read more

I will drive right past this schnucks to go to another schnucks. The store is not clean, the customer service is horrible and the worst part is all of the people begging both inside and outside. You can't go to this store without someone approaching you and asking for money. They need to just close this schnucks down. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Horrible. Take the time to drive to another Schnucks. They have not up kept the store. Produce often looks disgusting or expires within two days. Staff is very unfriendly. Lines are always long. Staff ignores customers. I have never had a good experience here. Safety is also a concern as it has a weird vibe. I stopped by this location 12/31, while on a quick break to pick up rice cereal for my baby. When I finally made it home and go to prepare bottles for my son's daycare the following day, I noticed that 2 out of 3 containers were expired as of Nov 2019. I called to make them aware of this inconvenience. The first lady in customer service kept cutting me off. (I wanted to know the procedure with it being purchased through WIC) When I was finally able to get my question out she said she couldn't help me. I asked how am I supposed to feed my baby expired food, she then said " let me get my manager because I don't know what to tell you" smh. Manager gets on the phone and she cuts in before I'm done speaking just to try and repeat what the associate has said. At this point I'm upset, I said it's expired as of Nov 2019. Instead of apologizing she immediately retorts "that is highly impossible that happened" Why do sooooo many people lack customer service???? what ever happened to the customer is always right?
