If you're tired of all the WU students at the Richmond Heights Schnucks store, this is an option for you. It's reasonably cleaner inside and has an above average stock of Kosher foods in their inventory. The deli seems to be better organized and my wait times for orders seem faster than RH. I have found the produce to be notably in better condition than the RH store too. Easy access to I-170 exits. read more

Lately this has been my go-to Schnucks location, since it is conveniently located on my way home. They are ALWAYS fully stocked on my newest dessert find. Off hand I do not know the name but it's this deliciously creamy chocolate mousse! The Kirkwood location is my favorite but they are hit-n-miss when it comes to inventory on the mousse. This location is literally ok. The selection of items is just ok. It depends on what you need, for me, I find it lacks quite a bit, so I often go elsewhere unless It's the main 2 items I'm looking for. This location stays busy and since it is in Ladue I expect better quality and more options. The employees are friendly which is a plus. The biggest draw back about this location is the long lines for check-out, the lack of Lactaid Milk and the lack of most items. read more

Schnucks Ladue has great, hard-working & customer-service focused employees. The produce, fruit & cooking seasoning extras are always well-stocked. The staff is very friendly/kind to assist in whatever your questions may be. The luncheon meat, hot food & salad counters are always stocked & plentiful especially considering the amount of customers they have. The pastries & bread area has a lot of diverse products. The ambience of the store is good because it's well spread out and the displays make it easier to find discounts, value bundles & sales. The meat dept is my favorite because they are very accommodating & will order for you & contact you when it arrives. read more

WOW I have shopped at Schunks for over 40 years and last night was a really frustrating. Last night I went to the Ladue Schnucks & wanted to return some Owyn protein shake if they had the one's I wanted. So I went to the lady at the self checkout lanes & told her what I wanted to do. She said for me to leave the cart there & I said I need the cart to get the other shakes. She went & grabbed what I had & said I have to keep it there. I thought wow that was aggressive. then I went to go check and see if they had the shakes that I wanted and they did not have it. So I asked her for a rain check and she told me that if it's in the written weekly physical adds that she could give me a rain check. Now it is advertised in their website several places that it's on sale. She said that it has to be written on this weekly add in order for her to give me a rain check.I said that is a bunch of BS & showed the information online & she said it had to be listed in the add she had. She showed me a paper to use for a rain check & she tried to verify her actions. I walked out. read more

This used to be a fantastic store. However, lately the deli, including the salad bar has gone downhill. Customer service in the deli is horrific. I think the line moves quicker at the Social Security office. Today when I stopped in to get a quick salad for lunch I had to search around for foam containers that weren't covered with dirt. I have never seen a grocery store where the line to check out is all the way down the store and up another aisle, it's chaos. I ran in to get one thing the other night. The self check line went all the way to the full service line and down a grocery aisle. The full service line was down to the end of the store and up another aisle. There were only three lanes open for full service. In the self check, numerous people were having trouble with the scanners and there was little help for them and customers were just standing there. I went to the Frontenac store yesterday and no issues. This store is not well run. My husband switched to Dierbergs as he refuses to go into the mayhem. Schnucks, this store has serious issues. Unfortunately, it's right down the street from my home. Now if I need one item, I'll run into Straubs. read more

Shout out to Anthony in the butcher section! He's always helpful and kind. This is my go to grocery store because it's closest to home. Generally everyone is kind and helpful. I can usually find anything I need but they're dealing with supply chain stuff like everyone. I know it's been hard for them during the pandemic- the deli area is a bit of a mess but apparently you can place your order there ahead of time. I love all the different options that schnucks always has. The produce is very fresh compared to a lot of the other nearby markets. The donuts and baked goods are my favorite in the area. I just wish that they would open more lanes instead of making everyone go through self checkout, I have had to stand in line for a very long time multiple times. read more

On 08/10/23 I went to my local Schnucks store (# 188) to pick up a couple of last minute items before heading home. While checking out, the cashier did not ask me if I wanted to use my rewards or not (at which time I was saving them till the holidays) Long story short, I was stressed out about the situation and went to the Managers desk. Fortunately there was a young lady by the name of Felita. She had taken the time to explain to me how to go on the website and update my rewards preferences. This is a great grocery store. It is within walking distance of our home. We frequently walk there and pick up a few items almost every day. It is a clean store. There is a nice variety of items to select from. They recently put in a new salad bar, which we really love. We also frequently get items from the deli. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this store. The store is in a nice neighborhood location where it is easy to walk to, along with restaurants and other businesses. read more

I had dinner in Clayton the other night and stopped by the Ladue Schnucks on my way home to pick up a couple of things. Super disappointing. They didn't have one of the things I wanted and the store was in a state of complete and total disarray. The bakery cabinet where they keep the self serve cookies and things had garbage all over the floor in front of it. The front shelves by the front door were bare. As I moved around the store I became more and more turned off and left without buying anything. Super disappointing. This is the store I grew up going to with my mother at this current location and just east of here at Lammerts Center before it got enlarged. read more

So, typically I only come in this location to grab a quick something on my way to the beauty salon, but since I'd been in Clayton all day today and headed home, I decided to do my grocery shopping. I'm already a frequent shopper of the Schnucks near my house and was pleased to find all my normal needs along with a few upticks. Seafood week at my house and the selection of beautiful salmon portions made me happy. The young lady at the counter was friendly and we had a great chat. I also decided to try 2 of their jumbo lump crab cakes. Wonderful selection of wines on sale...I'll take 2, thanks. I had the crab cakes for dinner this eve and they were great. Just a note, there's a new flavor of roast chicken at ScHnucks, it's Itailian spice, and it's really really yummy!! So give it a try!!! I think it is the best they offer! Little advice however if you love crispy chicken skin, heat your oven to 400 and when it gets there put your chicken (take it out of the plastic) on an oven durable dish and heat it for about 15 to 20 min. I wanted to share about a blantant racial discrimination issue that I experienced here in St. Louis in Ladue at Schnucks. As a black woman, I'm total disgusted with this still happening and Schnucks seeming ok with the treatment. On Sunday August 4th, I was at the deli counter waiting for service. As this Schnucks counter is split from salads and meat slicing, I started first waiting at the salad counter. I stood for about 5 mins watching the staff watch me while they serviced other people at the meat slicing counter. As the last person left the meat slicing counter, I walked up there since I needed lunch meat as well. The lady behind the counter, though she has been watching me and saw me walk up, never addressed me. She was white, her name is Casey, the assistant deli manger. Casey began to make herself appear to be busy. After the first few minutes I ask for help. She said I need to pull a number that's how they know to help their customers. I looked around and said aloud, but I'm the only person here? Kinda in a question and there was not another shopper in sight. She repeated I needed to pull a number. I'm chuckled and pulled the number. As my number literally up, it was the only number on the board. Casey continued to make self look busy. Mind you no one else was waiting. She moved the little basket where you put your numbers in from one side to the other. She then threw out a whole roll of tape from the scale and grabbed another. I then asked for her supervisor. She asked what did I need. I laughed and said service. She said she was the assistant and the manager , she pointed across the room. At this time another gentleman appeared from the back. He was black his name was Jarvis. I asked if he could help me. He said sure . He began helping me. I asked if he could walk down to the salad portion so I could talk to him. As we walked away a white walked up and Casey immediately asked how could she help her. I asked Jarvis and if he heard that and what happened. He said yes and what I was feeling was common with Casey. He then went in back and got the salad manager and asked if I could tell her what happened. I did and she said that I need to talk to Pete the deli manager. Jarvis went and got Pete who was across the room. Pete came over and asked how could he help me. As I started explaining, Pete cut me off and was dismissive and was like he you need the store manager they deal with stuff like this. He walked off. Jarvis and the other lady who were both black were shocked. Pete and the store manager came back. The store manager was white but she was more pleasant. I explained what happened and she apologize and said she would take to the employee and see what happened. I told her I just explained what happened. She said she wanted to get her side and she wish me to have a better day. I was shocked she never asked to get my name or anything. I was so upset and a distraught. I was so embarrassed that the access I should have been afforded was denied and I was treated so dismissive as If I had done something wrong by looking for service at a counter that offers service. I went home and called the police. They took a report and suggested I contact the corporate office. I did and when they called me back, again very dismissive of the fact that this happened. There were cameras and other employees to verify that what happened. I want Schnucks who service our black communities the most to understand it's not ok to treat people like this. This culture should not be continued in today's time. If there is anything you can do to highlight this incident would be greatly appreciated. We must be treated better in our own community. read more

Of course I trashed that rotten melon immediately at home and went back to the store a few days later asking for a refund. Guess what, they told me to "bring the rotten melon back"! Are you serious?! I'm personally sick and tired of the entitlement of people wanting to shove their carts of 200 items in a packed space designed for efficiency. Thankfully the new policy mitigates that. I get you have to wait, sometimes 5 whole minutes!, to checkout with your loaded carts feeding your family of 5 for the next two weeks, but come on, there's always a wait at any grocery store, and I've never once encountered some insane line that wasn't expected (gee Sunday at noon there's a line, who coulda guessed?) I love the new policy, because I often go up there to grab an item or two I forgot, and checkout is a breeze. And when I do my weekly shopping the wait in line is negligible, really overblown. The store is clean, the staff is friendly, and it's prob the best schnucks in a 10 mile radius. Ignore the curmudgeons shaking their fists at any minor inconvenience that change offers, the system is in my estimation much better, you just have to be willing to look past some people's personal biases read more

Worst Schnucks store in St Louis. The employees Are rude,don't care about customers and think customers are s nuisance. Amazing they are still in business but because of Amazon they will be obsolete. I asked how to find a product and the reply was it over there's somewhere and she left. I found it in my own so why not just order on amazon, Same price and direct door to door delivery. The union is killing the local grocery store. Mr. Schnuck I'd suggest you break the back of the union otherwise just close your stores. They will be history. To the management that thought changing the courtesy counter to include overseeing 8, count'em 8 self check aisles - I call bullshit! What? Having people check their own groceries isn't enough? You need to combine that with the poor kid at the courtesy counter who needs to 1) check ID for alcohol purchase, 2) fix issues when we irritating customers commit some scanning issue, and sell lottery tickets? Are you suffering so badly that you need to cut corners so sharply? Your people are barely friendly. I believe they are not treated well and they look at the public as irritations. Figure it out. I recently discovered this Schnucks location, being somewhat "new" to St. Louis. It's layout is better than the Clayton Schnucks I usually frequent and it seems to have more inventory. I generally self check-out, so I have no issues with that! All in all, it's good to have options, and this place is fine. read more

Always the worst lines. Rush hour Monday evening, they had TWO lanes open and one was an "express" lane. The lines were 14 people deep, but even after asking they failed to open more checkout lines. It's always bad but this was the worst I've ever seen. New Management - Required!!! read more

I was so upset to see Schnucks jumping on the band wagon of same price smaller packaging, but today they had both still on the shelf at same price. Quaker grits $3.54 old box was 12 -1 oz packs and new box is 10 -0.98oz packs. Same Price... SHAME! read more

I placed an order at the deli kiosk right when I enter the store and after 20 minutes it still isn't ready and they have served several other customers first. This is unacceptable. Buyer Beware! Check the price you're charged vs. the one on the shelf! I was just charged $4.99 rather than the marked $4.79 for a package of wasa Hearty Crispbread. The lady at the courtesy counter gave me back my 21¢ but think of how many people didn't catch this or wouldn't have taken the time to complain. The lady in customer service said Schnucks used to give the item free to people who caught scanner errors but stopped it because no one else did it. Wonder why they stopped! Prices are higher here than other Schnucks given the location, and I am still on a quest to find a spicy chicken sandwich in the freezer section here... but this is a fine store to get your shopping done. There is a wing bar, a salad bar, an olive bar, and a soup or nacho bar, though they are not always open. There is also sushi. read more

This store is very clean and kept up well. The only downside is the Dr Pepper rep doesn't keep stock of the soda I want! So I never am able to buy here. Food stays fresh though and everyone is always so sweet. read more

This is one of my favorite schnucks locations in the area. It has a greater variety of items than the University City location and it's more pleasing to the eye as well. It also happens to be located by Old Navy and Barnes & Noble for easy access to shopping. The only other Schnucks that rivals it is the Richmond Heights location. read more

I've been here a number of times for quick pick-ups when in the area. Produce, bakery, liquor and meat/butcher areas are quite large with good offerings. I got assistance locating the kiwi by an employee in the produce area, who noticed me looking stupid. I didn't have the heart to tell him I look like that a lot. Located the other ingredients for the desserts I'm making for a Labor Day barbeque, and found a checkout line with no line. Bagger-guy was extremely friendly, as he welcomed me, and we chatted about the weather. Just a note: Schnucks brand has a fat-free version of Cool Whip that is much cheaper than Cool Whip. read more

I love this Schnucks! First off, I love all Schnucks but this one rocks because it's in such a convenient location. It's right off the highway and perfect if you need to pick some stuff up before heading home or to a party. I've stopped by this one countless times to pick up a bottle of wine or food for a get together. The layout is simple, the staff are friendly, and there is always plenty of parking. This location has a great selection of pre made food, too. It seems larger than your average supermarket. I highly recommend doing your grocery shopping here! read more

Why is it, that when a store or business is located in "Ladue" that the employees get a pissy attitude. This store could be great, but the customer service pulls it's rating down. It has a great selection and variety in all departments. It is clean and laid out and merchandised well. It is the lousy attitude of the employees that bring this rating down. Today we stopped by to pick up some produce and could not find what we were searching for. We looked around for an associate to assist us and none were to be found. This is the first Schnucks I've shopped that there was not an associate working the department. To get assistance we had to go ask someone in the prepared foods to find someone. They had to go in the stockroom, which we had opened and yelled into. She returned, saying someone would be out shortly. We waited and waited. Finally, a short, stocky, gray haired man, hit the doors open with a bit of attitude. "What?" We told him we needed shallots. He pointed to the left and said, "look over there, they're in the baskets. How did you miss, them" He kept on walking the entire time, did not even stop to talk to us. What if we had other questions? This was the worst customer service I have ever seen in a Schnucks and I've shopped around. I've gotten better service at the one on Lin dell. Side-note, one of the shallots we bought was rotten. Schnucks is a decent supermarket. Reasonably priced compared to Straubs, and has better quality than a Super Walmart. However, it's still pretty pricey for various items like cereal, etc. Despite the prices, it's right off the highway when I come home from work and it's real convinient. One thing I love about Shnucks is their selection of Cheeses. OK, they're not the BEST, but they're pretty darn good. I've been looking all over town for gjetoast cheese and the Shnucks in Ladue and in Creve Coeur have it. AWESOME! I will admit that the cheeses are not cheap and usually add at least $20 to my checkout total. The one thing I found really annoying was that several times when I've gone here I had to do my own bagging, while in the checkout line. I'm OK with that, BUT normally, when you go to an actual person to checkout your items they have a bagger. Also, during the times that there wasn't someone bagging for me, there were clearly other baggers but just helping other people out. Well, that's just silly. If you're going to have baggers you really should have them for all open checkout counters, don't be teasing me folks. read more

Has very quickly become my go to supermarket. If you live in the city, you may be concerned that it's further away than Clayton Road Schnucks or the Brentwood shopping area, but I implore you to give it a try. It's much nicer than other Schnuck's i've been to, its never too busy, and its literally straight off the highway (I kid you not, you drive right into the parking lot). The main knock I have against this supermarket (and basically all STL ones) is that its horrifically overpriced.
