The warmth, care, and enthusiasm the team shows for the kids is truly exceptional. They regularly organize fun, engaging activities that keep the children motivated and excited to learn. Now in 2nd grade, my daughter has made remarkable progress in English, especially in writing and speaking--it's been so rewarding to watch her grow! The program offers an amazing variety of classes (math, Spanish, cooking, coding, chess, arts, ukulele, and more) along with healthy snacks, making every day both educational and enjoyable. The more time I have spent at my current daycare, I realize how sad I feel when I reflect back on when he was going here. This daycare is not nearly as warm as the daycare where my son spent his last 2 years. I remember when we first dropped off my son at this daycare, he was so scared and would cry a lot from the anxiety of leaving his parents. One of the suggestions that Ms. Toni said was not to carry him into the daycare and let him walk in. I'm not sure if this advise was to maybe make him less scared, but when I think back on that advise and how small my son was back then, it really makes me mad to even think that I took that advise as helpful. At 2 years old, a parent should definitely not feel like they can't carry their scared son into their first daycare. I also remember Ms. Toni commented that my son was constantly wanting to sit on Ms. Kat's lap and that she couldn't have him do that so often. When I see the kids in my current daycare, kids are on the laps of the teachers all the time and all day, especially if they need some comfort since they are showing anxiety being away from their parents. This school was so callous compared to the school that my son is currently at and I remember how scared he always felt when going there, which makes me sad and the reason why I'm writing a 2nd review. I also mentioned in an earlier review that I hated dropping off my son in the morning due to one of the teachers (Ms. Wafaa). She was always so rude to me, which made me worry about my son having to spend the morning with her. I hope she's no longer there, but if she is, she really needs to improve her demeanor. It's always hard to know how bad someplace is until you leave and go someplace else, so I'm glad we only stayed here for one year.

Total Learning is in a very convenient area close to many of the highly rated public schools in the Diamond Bar area (within WVUSD (school district)). In addition to the after school programs offered for different education levels, the center offers after-school pick up if parents need, so that parents don't need to worry about having to transport their children on weekday afternoons. The most important part about TL is that the teachers and staff truly care about the kids and their academic progress/growth. I really appreciate the teachers' helping with my kids' homework and the academic curriculum TL provides to help kids' to expand their minds. Kids will learn important skills, such as proper organizational skills, completing assignments on time, attention regulation, and training in various school subjects (reading comprehension, math, writing). Sometimes my son will sing new songs at home and try to teach me the songs he learned from school. Another day I was reading a book to him and he suddenly pointed out that he also learned about the Eiffel Tower in class! It's a bilingual program with English in the mornings and Mandarin in the afternoons.
