The food by Chef Juice, they call him was absolutely 5 stars ! From the best cheeses from around the world hand picked by Capt. Noah and his wife Jane were absolutely fantastic ! They take pride in their appetizers before a wonderful meal ! All the meals are hand made and out of this world ! The trip was almost fog free and we went around many of the Maine islands and had the wonderful lobster bake on Russ island, a favorite of Captain Noah's ! The crew on this trip was absolutely amazing ! They were absolutely spit on with detail and did everything they could to make you feel welcome on such a special schooner cruise. If you haven't taken a schooner cruise, I highly recommend that you give it a try! 3/4 of my sons have gone and they loved it ! Once again, I give this trip a 5 star review !

On the evening cruise we had lobster dinner with corn and salad. They also provided us with a cake to cut and our friends provided the champagne. This was an unforgettable experience to be on this beautiful old boat and to watch the crew work her lines with the expertise of seasoned sailors. Captain Brenda owns the Isaac Evans and does weekly sails typically except during certain events where she does daily sails. The boat is immaculate and kept up to her period of sailing with a few modern modifications Ike the head. The stove is a wood burning stove and the guest quarters are large for a boat. My husband and I will one day come back for a weekly sail with her and the crew. Thank you again guys for the most wonderful wedding a girl could expect.

He sailed us to the Islands of Mattincus , and Monhegan , to east Booth bay and Vinyl Haven , South West harbor , and many new and interesting places. The crew was very well trained and worked great together, on sailing the vessel, and catering to the passengers needs . Then there was the chef and galley hands . They did an excellent job of preparing the meals , and and catering to the passengers, dietary needs . You meet passengers from all over the us, and Canada . Who become family , by trips end . They tried to rip me off. Told me I needed a $3800 rebuild on my outboard motor. They told me it…read morehad 60lbs of compresion on the best cylinder. My compression gague and two other boat shops says it has between 95 and 105 on every cylinder. I don't know what they were trying to pull. Either they were going to rebuild it and then tell me, Oh that wasn't the only problem, we need another $1000 to fix it. Or they were going to fix whatever the problem was and say they rebuilt the motor. Either way they are crooks.Stay away.beware

Do not use Ocean Pursuits!!…read more Horrible experience at this yard. They overcharge and nickle and dime you to death. First, they wouldn't let me bring in a 3rd party to shrinkwrap my boat which is understandable. But then they charged me nearly the cost of winter storage to do it! Then in the spring they charged me again to take away the plastic! Now the worst of it. I requested an estimate to have my mast and boom painted. I received an estimate of $3,100-$3,500 in writing (which took 3 months to get). I gave the go ahead and let them know that it was barely in my budget. Without any notice, I got invoices totaling $9,000! When I called to ask about this they tried to justify it with man-hours worked and materials. I got threatened that my boat would be held until what was due was paid in full! This is why I asked for an estimate! I understand that their are sometimes extras when you get into it, but a good boat yard will hit their estimate or be very close to it. Do not use Ocean Pursuits. I should have done diligence and asked around about them first. I have since learned that this is how they always do business.
