I had to return the item in store for a merchandise card and then buy the correct size online and was unable to use that merchandise card! I had to pay for the item again. I can tell the owners are a bit anal-retentive here, with a dozen plus signs around the animal figurines that say not to play with the toys. How about just letting kids be kids? Or make a designated Kid Zone with a bunch of sample toys to play with. It feels a bit like a library, like I should whisper, probably due mostly to lack of customers and no background noise. While it's nice having a locally owned toy store, Red Balloon is geared toward an adult clientele. They really need someone to come in and help them redesign the place with kids in mind.
