We moved away in 2012 it was fabulous back then. Upon checking in the Lobby is very dim/dark it needs some brightness to it. The man at the desk was not the friendliest. The lady who answered the phone when we called ahead was better at customer service so they may want to think of changing roles. The Lobby was clean. I do hate they got rid of the pool and put in a conference room. Even though we didn't bring our kids this trip. that's usually a sales point for us so we usually stay in Bluffton or Portland when we come visit our families. Our room was on the second floor and this hotel has not elevators so if you have limits make sure you let them know prior. The bed was clean no issues at first when I sat on the bed I felt it was going to be a hard sleep because the bed was way to soft. (We prefer xtra firm) but with that being said when we laid down it was actually pretty comfortable. you melt into the bed. Even thought they don't have an attendee during the night they do have an emergency number to call we didn't need the number at all. Down fall we went to the bathroom to take a shower and noticed that on the back of door their was some blue sprayed on the door (tooth paste maybe) along with the outside of the tub base had stuff on it that was brown. So we did have to clean the tub prior to using it. The water pressure is not the greatest but it did it's job. They don't have enough shampoo in the room for two people so make sure you ask for more or bring yours from home. Pricing: the price was great it was 1/2 the price we would of paid in Bluffton or Portland. But I would pay higher to have the bathrooms cleaner. At 10 am housekeeping knocked on the door to see if we needed anything or to remind us that check out is at 11am. Lol...When we went to leave the same attendant was working this time much friendlier. I know we all have bad days and one offs.

The staff was welcoming, our room was clean, cozy, and the bathroom was also updated and tidy! The shower was hot and our room was serviced each day. I have no complaints and will be staying here for future visits. In fact, I forgot a personal item when I left, and the staff went out of their way to return it to me. I highly recommend this inn and their exceptional hospitality!

We loved the intact tiling in the bathroom, original floor, and hand-built bed headboard in the Western Room. Everything was sparkling clean. The modernized tiled kitchen is welcoming and sleek, and opens into a patio overlooking flowering native plants and many trees. Breakfast featured local breads, fresh fruit and exceptional bacon even a pescatarian can love. Best of all is the personable and knowledgeable hostess - we learned a lot about sustainable living and the people who live in this area. We stayed two nights, and cycled on the Cardinal Greenway each day.

Imagine my even deeper satisfaction when I discovered this bed and breakfast and booked it for two nights so I could celebrate my last surviving aunt's 80th birthday. My room was clean and comfortable, even having its own separate bathroom. Wifi was available as well as my own door key to the house so that I could come and go as I pleased. Breakfast was made personally by the hostess, an engaging and lively person with a story of her own regarding her connection to the town. I had a most pleasant stay in this charming house and the frosting on the cake was the reasonable price of the room. This is a place I would return to in a heartbeat.

The cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a very friendly chonker cat named Lucy who will run up to you for pets (and might try to sneak inside the cottage if you let her). The breakfast was incredible with bacon, cheese eggs, perfectly done potatoes, and a platter of homemade pastries. The location is rural but it was close to the black pine animal sanctuary, and about 40 minutes away from Fort Wayne. It was a good springboard for all of the local breweries we planned to scope out, which there is a ridiculous amount of (or maybe not, you need something to keep you busy in these small towns).
