Sam and Luke tackled a very challenging weed removal. They did it in record time and the yard is now pristine. They were very courteous and listened to all my concerns. I highly recommend Schulhoff Tree and Lawn Care. read more

AJ and tree crew came to cut down a 50ft pine tree that was very close to the house. It had split off into 4 trunks. Very difficult job but they did it with precision. Schulhoff has always done a good job for us. read more

A.J. and Brent with their crew of about six guys, came and cleared our property of many, many dead trees over two days. They did a very good job on difficult mountain property. Great crew! Conscientious and thorough, they got it all. I can heartily recommend them, and will use them each year to tend to our forest. read more

Worst service I've ever seen from a Tree and lawn care company. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Won't use them ever again

Schulhoff did a very good tree trimming on our tree , It was cold, had alot of snow but they did a very good job and cleaned up. Joe read more

They have done a beautiful job of taking care of our many trees. They also cleaned up everything afterward. I love that they donate to Wounded Warriors as well. read more

Job was to prune trees, bushes, and edge the sidewalk on 11/13/24. Main gruff crew leader came out and complained about doing the edging. We just had a snow storm and a large branch broke off an Aspen tree not on the estimate. I said I would pay for that tree to be looked at. Was told no and that they only had a limited time at each project. They broke a light and clipped the wiring of lighting in a tree...didn't bother to inform me when they left. That night none of my front or backyard lights would work. I called twice over 2 weeks and was told someone would call me back and they never did. It cost $170 to repair my lighting system in the backyard and they never reimbursed me. The company was just unprofessional and unresponsive after they did their job...I would never use them again. read more

I have had the pleasure of using Schulhoff tree services for years. I have never had a bad experience from any of the people, from the office staff down through the men who come to complete the jobs. The first time I needed tree service, I called different companies for quotes and found that Schulhoff was the best price in town. And I learned it wasn't only the 'best price' but also the best service. The crews are always professional, do a wonderful job, and always, always clean up the area. They arrive on time and stay until the job is done completely. I highly recommend Schulhoff and will encourage friends to use them when in need of tree service. Excellent company, excellent people, and excellent service. Kudos to Schulhoff! Chris came by our house to discuss some services that after much research I thought we needed. He gave us great information about the soil, grass, trees, sunlight, etc. along with suggestions for ways to address our issues like lumpiness and dry spots, all without any sales type pitch or pressure at all. The approach was truly to help us gain a better understanding of why these things were happening and ways we could make improvements ourselves without a high pressure sales pitch. I'll absolutely recommend them to friends and family because not everything needs to be a sales pitch! Great information, presented with integrity. read more

Schulhoff offers professional and timely services. Chris came out quickly to look at the job and get it scheduled. AJ and his crew did the work as planned and provided very good clean up. Call Schulhoff for your tree and lawn care!! read more

Schulhoff crews planted a new tree in our yard and another crew took down 2 dying choke cherry trees. Both crews were professional and courteous. The new tree was planted carefully and directions for care were thoroughly explained. The crew that took down the trees did such a careful and smooth job. They were so quick and they cleaned up the yard and street. I highly recommend Schulhoff for your tree needs. read more

Awful customer service and no communication within the organization. They were onsite and had quoted a limb removal at my property while they were completing some work for my neighbor. When the crew arrived they refused to complete the work. Had to get a second quote on my project from them. Took them 3 weeks to schedule and very poor communication throughout. When the crew finally came (a week after they initially said they would) they only completed 20% of the job and walked offsite. Back office claimed miscommunication and ultimately never showed back up. Would NOT recommend to anyone in the metro Denver area. read more

I have used Schulhoff Tree and Lawn Care to trim my trees, aerate and compost my lawn, and prevent and treat weeds. They are excellent! My trees and grass look beautiful. I tried treating the weeds myself with several products and by digging them out and failed. Schulhoff treated them and I could see the weeds dying off within a week. Schulhoff is communicative and efficient, and I highly recommend them. I live in Parker and they service the area. read more

Completely trustful, honest and great prices. Showed up on time and stuck to bid price.

Schulhoff Tree and Lawn has taken great care of my trees and lawn for more than 10 consecutive years. Their people are competent and professional. Quotes are fair and designed to meet my budget. Service is prompt and done by experienced staff. Chris, in sales, is very knowledgeable about landscape care and visits my home upon request to recommend future work - often he shows me how to do the work myself. Our trees have grown tall, straight, and healthy thanks to Schulhoff. Bill P. read more

Steve G. We live on the west side of Golden on the edge of the foothills with nearly an acre of a variety of trees. We have been pleased with the fine services of Schulhoff Tree Care since 2007! About 16 years! They have been very accommodating when setting up appointments and adjusting to changing needs and technology. And not overselling! I have especially been happy with the many consultations by Chris B, who with his extensive knowledge and long experience in this area has helped me save many trees and not waste money on those trees that could not be saved. This has helped me plan better for the future of our interesting riparian niche here. read more

Always excellent service - emergency tree care, regular lawn care and tree trimming. Love this company!!!!

Schulhoff Tree and Lawn Care did an excellent job in trimming our Ash tree. They reconfirmed what I wanted done before they began. After finishing, they checked with me I asked them to trim a couple of more things which they did. They cleaned up. They were knowledgeable, professional and their prices were competitive - a bit below another company I had used. I felt like I received a superior job and i will not hesitate to use them again. read more

We've worked with Schulhoff for more than a decade to care for the trees on our 1.5 acre property in Morrison. They've always provided outstanding customer service and delivered expert, knowledgeable care for our trees. A special shout out to Chris, our regular point of contact. He spends a generous amount of time at our property explaining tree care to us and has voluntarily provided arborist support and advice to our homeowners association. This is clearly a company with a positive culture that we see in everything they do. read more

Schulhoff Tree Co is great! They came when they said they would to give me an estimate. Their estimate was one of the lowest. The woman that answers the phone was always professional and helpful. They came as scheduled and did a very good job pruning the deadwood out of our maple in the front yard, yet leaving it a nice shape. Keegan did a beautiful job shearing our 20' skyrocket juniper hedge in back and they thoroughly cleaned up the debris that fell in our neighbor's backyard. This company is very organized and reliable. We will definitely use them for future work! read more

We have been using Schulfhoff to take care of our trees since we moved into our house 6 years ago. They are always very helpful, full of great insights, and responsive. Last month they trimmed a large tree in our yard and the experience was great. Their team was professional and worked quickly and respectfully in our yard. Most of all, I always feel like I am in good hands with Schulhoff because they care about the work they do and it is apparent in the work they do. read more

They trimmed my neighbor's tree and decided they'd rather put stress on my new wooden fence by climbing over it to clean up my yard rather than knock on my door and have me unlock my gate. I'm glad I work hard keeping my property maintained so that people like this can disregard my efforts. Other tree services have contacted me a few days prior to the trimming to ask for entry to my yard; what a concept! read more

I should not even given this company one star! First off the punk kid that tree trims was dropping branches on our roof ran over our sprinkler line in the late fall, Had to come fix it in the spring, tried to claim he didn't run it over. He told the owner that he had no idea what we were talking about. Where the owner said to him, now I can see the tire tracks though the lawn, you don't need to lie. He claims he didn't remember. Second offense is the tree spraying people are coming around spraying who knows what chemicals all over my vehicle and our house with a 4 month old baby inside and the windows open with the over spray on our driveway and my brand new truck, and in my child's lungs. I told the guy the last time to let me know he is spraying and I will move my vehicle and close the windows. He claims the chemical will not do anything to the paint or harm anyone. So I asked him why he is wearing a mask to spray then if it is a safe substance. And no this is the second time this has happened. So I proceeded to go out to yell at the guy spraying. Best part is all services were for our neighbor. Thanks Janice, yep Schulhoff we are her neighbor to the south on Newcombe st. But I'm sure you already figured that out seeing how we had to call you 4 different times to come fix our sprinkler that your guy ran over. And our neighbor threatened to cancel you for all her services if you didn't come. Oh and by the way the bark that you filled in the tire marks with is still in our front yard, you should probably come get it. Seeing is how you do great environmentally safe work. Keep up the good work guys! read more

This company is TERRIBLE!! They are incompetent ripoffs! Judging by other reviews it's obvious that Schulhoff has a history of shoddy service and horrible customer service! My neighbor and I hired them to trim few branches at the property line on a large tree, pretty simple concept, right? Apparently not for these guys, they came twice and never completed the job! On their first visit they cut one limb and left; who does that? Clearly that wasn't the job they were hired to do. Was this crew not given proper instructions or were they simply lazy and/or stupid? On the second visit (today), when my neighbor approached the foreman about a large limb that was not cut, he was told that the limb in question wasn't on the work order. Ok fine, no big deal, let's just get it done, right? Nope, instead of just doing what the customer wanted, or at the very least calling his supervisor, this moron and his crew just left! So once again the job is incomplete, and beyond that they were rude to my neighbor! I guess expecting a job to be done as the customer desires is a concept that is alien to this company's management and overall culture. My neighbor is beyond frustrated with Schulhoff and is giving up without demanding that they make good on what was paid for, he is going to hire another company to finish the job. I think that's a disgrace and Schulhoff should be held accountable. Think twice before you hire these guys, there are a lot better companies out there that will do an honest and complete job for you. read more

Chris is the sales guy I dealt with and it was a rough start but after some simple communication and patience Chris got us set up and his professionalism has been the key to a successful service relationship since. We had them come out and trim our ash tree last November and they did a crappy job. Our tree was beautiful but needed some branches cut that were hanging over our roof and some hanging low. They did a horrible job. We have no shade as they cut branches off high up, left dead branches hanging, left our yard a mess, no cleanup whatsoever, saw dust all over our deck. Called a couple days later and AJ said he would be over to check it out but never showed up. I took pictures of the mess they left also. I have made several phone calls to them to no avail. I called them again today & supposedly they will call me back. Ya right! Please do not use this business to trim trees or anything else. Very unprofessional in not returning phone calls, not showing up as they said they were going to and leaving our yard a mess. They stripped our tree of it's beauty. Shame on you!!! read more

I don't know how companies like this stay in business. They use antiquated methods to schedule service, don't return phone calls, don't show up when they say and charge way more than other services. For example, in order to trim my tree they had to coordinate with Xcel to get the limbs around the power lines cut. The Xcel people came in and cut a huge amount of branches. Schulhoff left those branches in my backyard for 9 days before they came out! The Xcel guy said the other tree services get out the next day so the downed limbs don't kill your grass. Here's another Schulhoff gem. Me: "When are you coming to trim?" Them: "You're on the schedule for sometime in July." Me: "OK. What day?" Them: "Well, we don't know that. It depends on when we can get there." Me: "If I'm on the schedule, doesn't that mean I'm down for a certain day?" Them: "No, that's not how the schedule works." They schedule with a big whiteboard and abacus apparently. Software is a mystery to them. I'm still waiting for them to get around to sending the stump grinders out. Really, Schulhoff, retire already. read more

I have been using Schulhoff at our central Denver home for 14 years. We have an old home with more than ten old growth trees on the property. They are a busy company so if you want to call them and have the expectation that they will be right over you will be disappointed. That being said , they are busy busy because they provide a reliable quality service. When you first schedule an arborist will come by your home and evaluate your trees and your property. Together you will develop a plan based on need and budget. I have never had a Schulhoff employee try to sell me a service I did not need or could do myself. I have actually had employees tell me that I can do certain things myself and show me how to do them and where to buy the needed supplies. For the actual work your estimate will be clear and in line with what you have discussed. The work is done to your specifications and I have always been pleased with the cleanup and billing. I do not need to have them out every year but I have had them out no less than 6 times and have always been pleased with the results and the guidance provided. I have also had them out just to take a look at some of my trees and provide direction for the next few years care and growth. I know each persons experience will be different but my experience with this company has been consistently excellent and I recommend them every time the subject of tree trimming and tree care comes up. read more

Great service. Reasonable and timely and expert knowledge. Nice job on trees and bush trimming. And had organic fertilizer

Schulhoff is the best. I had received quotes from a number of other companies for help cleaning up an old elm that was starting to affect the cable/phone wires coming into our house. Despite the fact that all tree care companies are crazy busy this time a year, Schulhoff was by far the fasted group to respond to my inquiries and provided a quote that could not be beat. Chris and team are very professional and I'd trust them for any tree service I need in the future. Keep up the great work/service. read more

I represent a group of businesses in Denver and we contract with them for our holiday/year round lights in the trees in our district. We got their name from our neighbor who had her Aspen cleaned-up. The tree seems to be doing fine so we called them for some work here. In our yard, they took down an Aspen and safety pruned a 40-foot Poplar. They did a very good job; kept the area clean; didn't trample on the existing flowers. We're very happy with them. We would call them again. read more

Seemed friendly when I received the estimate but had to schedule 1month out leaving a small amount of time for any wiggle room not get a fine from the city. As the date got closer there was no confirmation or contact with me. I had to follow up to receive a date for service however they never showed up. I left a frustrating voicemail that evening and never heard from them. Terrible and awful customer service. I'd highly recommend going to another company who can and will be more reliable! read more

Local company with a huge heart! A lot of the guys have been there 10+ years. They always try to do right by the customer. Chris and Justin always make sure your needs are met. I hired this company to spray my weeds since I was tired of doing it every year. I have a large yard and the person who sprayed was not there more than thirty minutes. He barely sprayed the weeds. He also missed about half. It's almost like he sprayed every other one. Also, it had been about four days and the weeds weren't dying. I called to express my concern and they told me to wait ten days for weeds to die. In my experience weeds are usually dead within two hours of when I spray them. I will pay them because I'm not the kind of person who complains to get services for free. I will not recommend them oruse their services ever again. read more

I have had Schlhoff do the tree trimming and spraying the Evergreens for the IPS beetle plus the lawn fertilization and aeration for, at least, seven years. They removed a 51 year old tree that was coming down on my roof. After the tree removal they literally swept the street. Granted, I had to wait for the tree removal because they were booked ahead after the hail storm on May 8th. Since I use them for all the services, I get their discounted price for everythiing. Honestly, they have always been punctual, friendly, and did perfect clean ups after every job. The fact that they have been in the same location for 81 years says a lot for their stability. i usually see the same employees so that also says a lot for how well they run their company and treat their employees. read more
