Overcharged and underdelivered. I paid for tree trimming for three trees, got two trees trimmed and was not told the proposal was for two trees. I paid for three months of essential watering in 2025, got one month in December, then the two months I paid for vanished from their books. And I was sent a proposal for three more months of essential watering in 2026. The price went up. Don't expect them to answer your phone calls. read more

Bad, bad experience. Delay in responding to questions and retaliation for raising concerns about these delays and also giving part of the scope to another company due to the delays. Be careful with this company. I have always thought they were great to work with and have actually worked with them in the past so I was trying my best to keep them as my professional tree company, but sadly it was not to be. I had 2 scopes, Tree Removal of a huge Spruce that I need a tree artist carver to start work carving whatever is left of the tree after initial cut and Tree Pruning was the second scope. I am trying to get all this done before snow starts so you can imagine me trying to get answers and the frustration at the delays. I eventually ended up giving one scope away as the delays in responses from them were a little frustrating, but I opted that I wanted to keep pruning with them but needed them to correct their quote as it seemed to only quote 2 trees and not all trees on property. I was later called by the assigned arborist who then told me that they will not be doing the pruning. This is someone I had been following up with for days and eventually reached out to the office today who even apologized and promised to track him down, so here I was thinking all was settled, only to be called after wasting days of my time to be told that, they will not be doing the pruning. I can only assume this to be retaliation by the assigned arborist either because I escalated my outreach by calling the office to find out why the delays and possibly also because I opted to take one scope and give it to a different company, yet I needed to move and have been trying to get answers for days now with no response, thereby delaying work all around. Be careful about investing too much of your time chasing down answers. It is extremely frustrating to a customer to spend so much time, but get continued delays and when you raise concern, the company arborist retaliates by canceling the attempts at getting work done, after wasting so much of your time. You can do better Preservation Tree Care. Please do not let a few arborists on your team, ruin your company's reputation. Today was a fail and a complete waste of my time. read more

So after moving back to Lakewood, this time near the Bear Creek K-8 school, it turned out we had a 30 year old dying, Cottonwood tree. So called up preservation tree one more time. We were very pleased with the services that Preservation provided. We reached out to them for quotes to prune multiple ash trees. One of the trees has not been looking very well lately and we also wanted professional guidance on what to do with it. They were reasonably quick with their responses and very knowledgeable about tree care. Their original proposal was pricey, but they were so helpful in helping us narrow down the top priorities for the trees. They helped us identify what we should focus on right now and other things we can maybe wait until next year to address for long term care of our trees. I lost a large Blue Spruce during wind storm. Preservation Tree Care scheduled me in a timely and accommodating manner that worked with my schedule. The crew came out and were very methodical and safe with their removal process as the tree was resting against my neighbors house. Other tree companies wanted to use a crane to remove tree and in the process take out large sections of my mature maple tree to gain access. Preservation Tree Cares crew carefully removed tree section by section and did not take any limbs off my other tree to my delight! Additionally, the crew reattached the fencing that was damaged from the tree. The crew of Nick, John-Michael, and Alex were awesome and very knowledgeable. Wow are these guys good! They removed a 20 inch diameter, 30 foot high Ash from the closed-in patio of my townhome. The only way to get at the tree was to extend a bucket lift over my two car garage and dismantle the tree one piece at a time and lower each piece on a rope into the patio since letting it fall would have damaged my garage or fencing. They had to carry each piece by hand out through the garage. When they finished there wasn't a scratch on anything. Perfect and amazing. I might add their pricing was very reasonable. read more

Last summer 2023, I was laying down in my my condo and heard a huge thump. I thought it was on my roof,, but looking out the window I could see that the large pine outside my my patio had fallen on my neighbor's roof. You could see that it had rotted from the. Called and emailed me confirming a specific date. No one showed up on that date. After calling and pointing this out they came the next day. I was told on the phone that I had the date wrong. Forwarded the original confirmation email to them and never received a reply. Solid work, but caused me to miss an extra day of work and blamed me incorrectly without apologizing. Also, prices were middle of the road. Not cheapest and not most expensive. We went with them because the person who came out to give us the estimate seemed kind and knowledgeable. Will have to find a different company because I can't afford to miss multiple days of work unnecessarily every time we need tree trimming. read more

Was referred by a friend and they come out right away and walked the property with me at my new home, taught me about my trees, explained the current situation with each tree, made recommendations, and gave me a quote for a quote a bit of work by the next day. When I suggested that we split the work up over time, they scheduled it out with me over the year so the payments wouldn't hit me at one time too hard, but all the necessary items would get done. Not only do they come around every few months for "essential watering" and scheduled jobs without me having to remind them, the tree trimming they've done has made my property look great! They've also helped some trees that were dying come back to life. Each crew that has come out to work have been kind, personable, and professional. The prices are fair and the work is top notch. The owner himself came with one of his top guys and explained to me the Colorado state law that it was actually on the neighbor and not my responsibility so he turned down the job.
