The cashier line was short and the staff present were pleasant. It does have a funny smell but it is probably due to all the live animals.

After entering from 146th St., there are samples from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. I tried their mac and cheese and 2 types of chocolate. I bought the $4.99 soup and $3.99 for both filled kolaches. They were out of the steak, egg, and cheese kolache so I ordered an egg kolache. All were good. I also chose a chicken enchilada which I will try tomorrow.

Tried to go EXCHANGE IT, didn't even ask for a refund, for the same exact vape and GOT TOLD NO BY THE DUDE UP FRONT WHO HAS AN "I DONT GIVE A FUCK ATTITUDE." I go in there 5-10X a week for biscuits and gravy and everything else I need in a hurry.. I'll never spend another dime in there. I spent $100 just on Christmas.. So we went to this little hidden gem, tucked away in a strip mall in Carmel. This is a tiny store with an offering of items from Eastern Europe. There is a great variety of items for anyone to find something to try and well worth a visit. I picked up two types or tea, a jar of vegetable spread, and beet salad and sour pickles from the deli case. Both teas were equally good and flavorful. And the deli items were fresh and tasty.

There are cases full of interesting deli sausages, smoke fish and meats that you can't find in a grocery store. A case of cakes and assorted pastries called out to me. On the back wall, racks held interesting wines and hardy beers. You can find almost anything Eastern European in the shop, including a few gift items. Babushka's is not a traditional US style deli where you can order salads and sandwiches. It is very much a shop that sells prepackaged imported foods. We picked up a Baltic Porter stout beer from Poland and some stuffed golumpkis that were made in New York. Prices were reasonable for imported food products. The clerk was friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking in the strip mall.
