Had a good experience my first time in. They greeted me, answered all my questions and the meats look really good. I purchased some Amish chicken, NY strip steaks and some local cheese from Tulip Tree. Decent prices but the only thing I didn't like was that the prices weren't on anything I inquired about. I did like the fact that they have a loyalty program. I signed up for that. I'm looking forward to trying to locally sourced meat that they actually process. I truly enjoy having the option of going to a local butcher as opposed to going to a chain supermarket!

Five Star meats and service. I really enjoyed the different meats I've had from Moody's. My wife makes a crock pot dish using the thick cut boneless pork chops (with pork stuffing and no sugar apple pie filling) that turns out fantastic with the meat having a great savory flavor. I also picked up some of the breakfast sausage that is not too spicy, but with enough flavor to wake up your taste buds! The folks behind the counter were very helpful and freezer wrapped everything I ordered. No waiting all day for service either! And when I mentioned it was my first time shopping at this location, they told me to pick out a FREE package of bacon! I don't know if they do that for all first time guests, but I hadn't even made a large purchase. I was very appreciative! So why not five stars on my rating? Well a couple things. The place just needs a makeover. It may seem a bit trite to knock off a star for appearance, but if you have been to the Zionsville location, that place is beautifully laid out with far more options on displays that are neat and clean and filled with artisanal items that might go well with your purchase. That store sets the standard for all meat shops! So, even though this place sells the same quality meats and the folks are nice, it just doesn't draw you in like the place to the north. And the location is a bit of a problem for visitors who want to turn left out of their parking lot. The shop sits next to a hill that has definite blind spots for traffic coming from the north. I had to have my wife watch to the right while I waited for an opening in traffic from the left. Lots of traffic with no center lane to pull into. So, if you want high quality meats at very reasonable prices, stop by here....and maybe get some free bacon! Review #2267

Two filets were $50 so we expected them to be great. Very poorly cut, grisly and not much flavor. Won't be back.

This was my first time visiting! With restrictions/limitations on meat during COVID, my wife and I…read moredecided to explore our other (local) options. After looking through the website, we called ahead to see if we could get a whole Fore Quarter Bundle (cuts from the front). I think there was a miscommunication. After doing a walk-in, we were told they also cap in person orders at $300. This meant, we could only get the half version. Still a lot of meat! So this was my take-away for those who might be in a similar situation. 1. Whether you order online or do a walk-in, your order is capped at $300 (obviously this could change). 2. My understanding is that you can also buy your choice of the offered cuts, but you might want to call ahead to verify. 3. Only three customers (not 3 parties, actual counts of people) are allowed in the store at a given time (at least as of 5/16). Yes, there might be a line outside; but I appreciated the current rule so that there was space inside the store. 4. Customers were masked up, but not employees. In fairness, they looked like they were keeping everything clean. 5. I'm under the impression that the beef is Grassfed (grainfed prior to butcher). I'm not 100% on this. 6. You won't necessarily get exact weights for everything you buy, but I believe our bundle was a good market price. Definitely cheaper than even some of the retailers that provide good quality affordable meat. The chuck roast we had (first night!) was good quality. So the short: good value for what you pay. 7. I was impressed with both the variety and quantity. So if you're frustrated with grocery store caps, you might want to check this place out. 8. Regarding the online ordering. It's great that they offer it. But for first timers (like me), I'd probably recommend walk-in. The online ordering may take a week or more to fill. But when you're in the store, you can get an idea of your options. I hope this is a helpful list of things for people in the Indy area looking for a good value. I think this local business gives you options!

They had groups of people that were not customers standing around talking to each other, but would not engage with the customers. Outside, there are little booths with products. I walked out there after I filled my cart up and paid and not one of them said hello to me. They were all too busy talking amongst themselves. What happened to being people friendly. I did not grab any of their free products. Today the store was cleaner than I've ever seen it. It disheartens me and people don't have the heart to even just say hello or smile. It's like a bunch of robots. All these people that are there for the grand reopening will eventually go back to wherever they work. There are people out there who need someone just say hello. I hope whoever is reading this thinks about others even if it's just for a second.
