Their frozen custard is unbelievably rich, smooth, and creamy kind of dessert that instantly turns a regular stop into a happy little tradition. The standout for me was the Black Raspberry Chip. The black raspberry flavor is bright, fruity, and slightly tart, and the dark chocolate chips throughout add the perfect crunch and richness. It's one of those combinations that somehow feels nostalgic and indulgent at the same time. Whit's fresh-made custard texture takes it to another level compared to regular ice cream. The James Island location is welcoming, quick, and consistently delicious, making it such a fun local stop after dinner or beach days. The only "downside" is it appears at least at the James Island location the choices are vanilla, chocolate, the daily special (they post these on their monthly calendar on Instagram) and maybe one other? The food prices are competitive and make Parker's a good spot to stop for a quick breakfast or lunch- much faster and more reliable than fast food drive-thrus. The snack/packaged item prices are also better quality, especially the cookies. Parker's coffee and soda machines all worked on my last visit, and the ice was crunchy. There is a loyalty program for drinks, which includes soda but does not include coffee or cappuccino.
