I have NEVER experienced such arrogance and unprofessionalism from a medical "professional" in my life! On March 16th I started a root canal with this man going against my better gut judgement. I was happy and grateful that they were able to get me in right away as I was in tremendous pain (but now I understand why the office wasn't very busy). I am very sensitive on my teeth and the first bad sign was that he came across as very unconcerned or irritated by that. I had the 1st part of what he told me was a 2 part root canal. The receptionist Cindy was very nice and scheduled me for the 2nd part for the following week. Then the Covid19 closures started. Understandably they closed their office and rescheduled me. I'm in the medical field myself so I get it. However, week after week I kept getting rescheduled and told that they're seeing emergencies/important appointments only. I'm sorry, but to me and most people, being in the middle of a root canal and finishing it up IS quite important. I let it go but then I started having a horrible taste coming from the tooth worked on. I called Cindy the receptionist, she spoke with the doctor and he called in a rx for me for an antibiotic. Well today's April 11th almost a month later and not only have I completed the antibiotic a couple of days ago, but now the last week the tooth that was worked on hurt SO bad. I went to brush my teeth today and I saw stars! So I left a message on the office voicemail and with Cindy on her personal line, explaining what was going on and that I needed the Dr to complete this procedure this week because I can't take the pain anymore and that if they are unwilling or unable to, to please let me know and that I will find someone else. I was very nice on all my messages as I didn't want to tick off the person that I was asking to do work in my mouth. I didn't get a call back so I called the Dr himself as his number is stated on the office machine. Well, 1st he answered the phone like I was bothering him. Again, I don't understand this guy's attitude as I've always been super nice in ALL of my conversations and correspondence with him and his staff. Then, after explaining what was going on he stated that he would open the tooth back up and then leave it open but that he WOULD NOT complete the procedure! I said "What? Why? I don't understand".... He said "If you're in pain the only thing I will do is open it up and that's it. Don't start with me Diane I'm not going to talk to you about this". I tried asking some questions like, wouldn't leaving it open like that be bad and allow things to get in there etc, but he was so nasty and arrogant and kept saying the same thing and then told me I could go see someone else. I said "Ok fine. Then who do I speak with about you reimbursing my insurance company because you got paid almost $800 for a procedure that you're refusing to complete and will NOT be completing at this point even if you change your mind". He said to take it up with my insurance company. Completely unbothered that he was losing a patient and that his patient was being left uncompleted and in pain. I honestly don't understand how this guy is even still in business. I will myself be filing all types of formal complaints with the ADA, BBB, Consumer Affairs etc, but anyone else even thinking about coming to this office BEWARE and just find someone else. Needless to say I've called another office that'll gladly finish the procedure as they've stated that this IS important and should NOT have been left like this. Dentistry at it's WORST. I would give ZERO stars if I could.

I used to be a patient elsewhere however they have my business now. I cannot believe how much he made me feel comfortable during my extraction and stitches even with me gagging, so much the patience he and the dental assistant had were so accommodating to my needs it actually made me cry. I highly recommend this wonderful dentist.

They had given me information about a service for my teeth, but no price and said I could find out online well. The information is not online and they don't have a direct number for their office. It is only an 800 number so I was on hold over 20 minutes and the person told me they cannot even help me and they would put me back on hold and I should find out in the I'm not going all the way down there I said can you help me out to try and find the price and they hung up on me, I would not recommend going to Aspen. I will be finding a new dentist.

When i tried on the denture, it was not remotely touching my gum (about 2mm off). I was obviously unsatisfied with it becaue it fitted worse than those Halloween vampire teeth, so I wanted it redone. He told me that they could redo it for me, but I would have to pay for the new one. That was going to be 3k (he claimed it was at cost) on top of the 4-6k that my insurance paid him. That was when I realized that he didn't care for his patients just their money. I left and never went back. A separate incident , he shaved off a bit of my tooth when I complained that the flipper was hitting against my tooth when I bit down. Normally a dentist would shave off more of the flipper, but he was in a hurry, so he shaved my perfectly healthly tooth. Now one of my tooth looks like someone sliced a corner off it. Under a friend's recommendation, I went to another dentist in the city and he gave me the most natural looking fixed partial denture for less than what Dr. Nathan claimed as at cost. During the first fitting from the city dentist, he didn't like how it looked, so he sent it back to the lab and demanded a new one without charging me extra. Even the first one looked 100 times better than the one Dr. Nathan gave me. The only reason why I'm giving him 2 stars is because the staff at his practice were very friendly. I usually had to wait in the waiting room for 30min-1hour before seeing him though. He was very friendly, but his quality and integrity were questionable. Since I haven't seen him for 6-7 years, maybe things changed, but I still wouldn't go back. I rather drive all the way to the city to see a dentist who I can trust.

Meanwhile, there was absolutely NO pain on my left upper tooth. Sure enough, through his pushiness, he convinces me to put a filling in that painless tooth, and that unnecessary procedure led to the most pain I've ever had in my teeth. I can't chew now on BOTH sides because of his failed procedure that wasn't even needed in the first place! I foolishly went back to him, and he changed the white filling to a silver filling. That did nothing and now I'm still in extreme pain. I'm so furious at this man for taking weeks out of the quality of my life. I'm chewing with my two front teeth and in immense pain because of him. He is a sloppy dentist (shavings of the filling were falling down my throat), he's hard to understand, he's extremely pushy and aggressive, his dental assistant hardly speaks a word to you, and his equipment seems decades old. Far and away, he is the worst excuse of a dentist I've been to.

They have three clinics and only three dentists servicing patients only once a week! Shockingly! Left messages and no one ever called me back. Mt Sinai lacks ethics and moral responsibility, especially for their patients with mental disabilities. I am totally disgusted.
