Crooks!! I understand the use of substitutions when certain flowers are out of season. I ordered a $79 premium arrangement that should have had an array of roses. I ordered a full day in advance. The arrangement that was delivered had no roses. What it did have was plenty of carnations. No where near the equal in value. I find it hard to believe that this florist ran out of roses. These guys are very nice but we are not pleased with the arrangement(s). We ordered a floral arrangement for $100+ tax & delivery that was meant to "wow" but unfortunately it was lackluster. My recipient thanked me and sent a pic. I was shocked at how bare it was so I called and they were apologetic and offered to send another out arrangement that day. I appreciated the gesture, BUT unfortunately the second wasn't anything special either. They asked for the first arrangement back and my recipient wished she had just kept the first instead because, although it wasn't as full of flowers, it was more visually appealing then the second. I wish I had better news, but the truth is I will never order from these guys again. read more

I am so disappointed in this Florist. I purposely wanted to shop local and ordered directly through their website instead of FTD or Flowers.com. The flowers that were sent looked NOTHING like the picture. There weren't any exotic or seasonal flowers that could cause a problem. Not to mention the delivery fee was over $17 for a delivery in the same town as the Florist. Less then 1.5 miles away! This is the last time I will ever use this florist, I will also make people aware of the terrible quality. I swear, its like they bank on the person getting the flowers won't show tge sender what the flowers looked like. read more

I called the florist directly since I needed a special request for funeral flowers. I was asking for an apple in honor of a teacher. I was reassured they have done this before and it would be beautiful. When I arrived at services I was looking for the apple. When I finally got close enough to see the sash I was embarrassed as was every one of my colleagues who chipped in. It looked like a rectangle. It had green leaves all the way around it. (An apple is round with a brown stem and 1 maybe 2 leaves on top if the florist owner is reading this). I had to explain to everyone what it was supposed to be. There was not 1 person who said it looked like an apple. I would not recommend this florist. read more

I visited 3 florists before walking into Dykstra Florist. From the second I met MariEllen i knew I had ended my search! First, these ladies have the most outgoing and engaging personalities. They had fabulous photos of all the weddings, bar mitzvahs and other special occasion parties that they have done the flowers for.(believe it or not, 2 places I had been to previously had nothing to show me!). They met the challenge of my budget with my daughters wishes for the look she wanted. They are amazing to work with. They were also excellent at calming a nervous mother the day before. The day of the wedding came, and I have to say, the results were perfect! Everything looked exactly as planned, if not better.
