They met with us the same day, listened to what we were attempting to accomplish in terms of a memorial service, had references readily available, and allowed us time to use their conference room and pull all the elements together. On the day of the service, they were more available than we had ever expected them to be, and didn't rush us in any way. Everything went perfectly, and their services were an important reason why it all went so well. For an extremely cost effective way to handle final expenses, we didn't feel like we were getting sub par service; far from it. I've been to the full service places that come with plenty of guilt to push you to spend more money during a time where you are ill equipped to make good decisions. My mother passed away almost 8 months ago and they finally admitted TODAY that they have not even…read moreordered the grave marker yet. They have been telling me for the past three months that they couldn't set it up because of the rain we had in May! I have called them multiple times in the past 3 months and they never even checked their records until today to see if it had been ordered. Inexcusable.

I attended a friend's memorial service…read more(no casket, no urn) It was a nice service and this funeral included a buffet of food that I had never seen at a service before. The buffet was catered and is a sample of what might be offered at a service. This small location is behind the HEB in Bastrop. You park in the front and side is where cars may line up if there was a procession. The only negative issue was there there is only 1 mens and 1 women's bathroom and so there can be quite a wait for bathrooms depending on the crowd. there are nice chairs but not a lot of table space.
