We have attended every summer, but one, and we knew that we made a mistake by taking a summer off. Louise, the director does a great job at getting to know all of the campers and making sure the staff is fully trained and are doing their jobs. The hours are EXCELLENT for working parents and they kids come home with great stories and exhaustion. I couldn't recommend this Day camp enough!

My kid spent hours the first day getting ready to go to activities that then never happened. The camp director said my kid didn't care for the outdoor activities and that that can happen because the camp is a place to "disconnect from screens"-- however, when a number of those activities did not happen due to poor planning my kid told me they sat them in a room and had them watch The Minecraft Movie. By the end of the 4th day, after another failed expedition (the field trip to Stone Mtn Park in which the things my kid was excited for were closed) we told her she could stay home. She's been going to summer camps most of the summer for two years now. Oak Tree Camp is the first one she's ever hated this much, the first one she ever asked to stay home from, and the last time we'll be sending either of our kids there. Save your money and find somewhere better.

There were no make-up lessons Tuesday, though they did swim Wednesday. Not sure how all three that were paid for were intended o be made up since Thursday was the outing. Tie-dyeing was also rained out Monday and there didn't seem to be a back up activity. The field trip wound up being scheduled for a time when the water park they were meant to attend was closed for cleaning-better communication with the park would have been wise. Basically, my child spent a lot of time going towards promised activities and then not getting to do them. We wound up skipping the last day.

And the main reason we wont let our child participate in recitals / parades, etc., is bc she's not that GOOD! YET!!! But recitals n stuff is a scam to just get more money out of you! But the straw that broke the camel's back is coming right off Thanksgiving they shoved a pack of raffle tickets in my face neatly wrapped with my childs name on it - I asked what if we don't want to participate in that (SCAM) the unprofessional said you have to pay $50. You already know - DECLINE!!!! Next class the coach only let my child practice a few routines. Towards the end the coach left my child standing in line waiting for her turn. The ignored my baby! Finally, my child just left and got her STICKER and belongings and we left. After I witnessed that as I watched from outside through the glass window, I decided to finish the course and w/draw my child. There is no way I will allow them to bully my child ALL bc I declined to sell or pay them $50 for some RAFFLE TICKETS!!! So this Wednesday, they paid my child no attention ! My baby got little practice and was told the training was for kids in the parade (which the coach denied saying it when I confronted her about it). But this week not only did the coach limit my child practice she wudnt even let her get a STICKER - NOPE! THE COACH TOOK THE STICKERS AND STARTED TAPPING MY CHILD ON HER HEAD WITH THEM!!!!! So no I wudnt recommend!

At no point did I agree to an ongoing subscription. Despite this, my card was later placed on auto-billing without my consent, and I was charged nearly $1,000 after the agreed period ended. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this directly via email, and have received no response, which is extremely concerning from a business that was previously very responsive during enrollment. While their program seemed positive initially, the billing practices and lack of communication have been unacceptable. Families should be very cautious and ensure they fully understand (and document) any cancellation terms in writing. I am still seeking a resolution and refund for the unauthorized charges.

Overnight accommodations available. Cabins and large group areas. Buffet style meals. Meeting rooms for all size groups. Lots of activities. A lake, ropes course, tennis courts, horseshoes, hiking trails, fire pits. Secured grounds and plenty of bus parking.
