I felt compelled to write this positive review because small businesses don't always get the proper feedback to grow their businesses. Most people complain about the silliest things while leaving out good factors about the business. I am giving UP beauty lounge this positive 5 star review because of my mom and how I seem they treat her. I booked my massages through Groupon. I bought a one hour massage and then another for 2 hour massage. All of these Groupons were expired but I was able to use them, not only that but the promotion they were having for 2 hour massage had also ended but they honored it without any questions asked. I've taken my mother to several massage places and she always complains that they barely massaged her or that they focused too much on one area other than the other...but not with Up beauty lounge. When I picked up my mom she was so happy. She looked refreshed and overall completely satisfied with the service and attention to detail she received. Her review was so great I had to try it out for myself and she was right. The location is clean, modern, smells great and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Worth the money. Will visit again soon!

Her: she is sweet and professional She asked me what I liked and disliked about previous studio experiences and she really made sure I was comfortable and happy the entire time. She also didn't try to sell me anything, which is huge for me. She educated me about types of products that would be good for my specific hair and how I could incorporate them into my routine, but she didn't try to make me buy anything. Her studio: I had to call to figure out exactly where it was (it is inside a larger salon building), but once inside it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I also love that you can book entirely online, which is surprisingly rare for hair studios. On a side note: I'd urge Yelp to only allow verified customers to review businesses. I read a one star review prior to booking my appointment, but it was a person who never visited Elizabeth's studio, just someone who disagreed with her marketing practices. This isn't why people come to Yelp and these types of reviews can distort the valuable data Yelp provides. It is a private and personalized experience. She was thorough and attentive to my needs. She was also thoughtful about privacy and made accommodations for my chronic pain. While I have been having waxes for a while and rarely experience pain, I experienced NO pain with Gail! She is extremely knowledgable and has medical expertise in addition to aesthetician expertise. She was able to advise me on issues I was faces related to the services, and I have had the best after-effects I have ever experienced in 8+ years of consistent waxing.
