It takes a lot for me to post a bad review, but in this case, I feel it's a health and safety issue. My heel was bloody when I left, and it's still very uncomfortable to walk the next day. I would not recommend a pedicure here. In all my years of getting regular pedicures, I've never experienced anything close to this. I am from Louisiana and wanted to try a new nail salon while on vacation. I looked at reviews before going and found this place to be the best choice within the area that I stayed. When I first arrived, I saw that there were not many people in the shop, so no wait at all. I am a very indecisive person, but try my best to explain what I want. Eventually, I decided on overlay with manicure with normal color instead of gel. I felt that more dead skin could have been taken away since that was the main goal. Do not go here! You will not be happy! I was here from 2:10 pm to 5:55 and am beside myself. I went here today (a Sunday) because my normal salon (Glow nails) is closed Sundays. I went to the lady that was the third person on the right. I'm sorry I don't know her name. She definitely cannot be licensed. I needed my dip nails redone. Nothing crazy, just short square white nails. The lady drilled gashes into my natural nails and then put the dip on and kept drilling it off. I could tell something was wrong because she never used primer and when she was trying to clean my nails up with the drill she was using it oddly. She couldn't control the drill. I had lumps, parts of my nails had no product and they looked terrible. She kept asking me if they were ok and I asked her to get help from a co worker. She got primer from a co worker, but that should have been on my nails 45 minutes before she started adding the dip. I told her that I cannot leave with nails looking like this so she said she wouldn't charge me and brought me to checkout. I asked the lady at the first station if she was the owner and she replied yes. I showed her my nails and she set me up with "Hannah" who was so much better. I had to wait till she was done with her client and she did my nails to my liking. I was now charged $40 from Hannah which I paid and went over to the owner and told her that my natural nails are ruined with deep drill marks drilling down to create red trenches in my nails. I also had to wait to have the product removed and then redone wasting my time here. I told her I most likely will not be back. I got the typical response of her not saying anything or sorry. My pedicure that I got first looks nice. I received a few couple of gashes on my feet from the pumice stone. The lady has no concept of how much force she uses. It's a pedicure, no need to rub my feet raw. read more

I just paid for a gel manicure that looks horrid that I will be removing as soon as I get home! There were only 2 customers in the store and no need for the tech to have completely rushed this process! She had little to NO care when doing my nails. Completely ridiculous cuticle cleaning even though I mentioned I needed them cleaned! And the polish work was utterly unprofessional. And imagine this is me mentioning to her multiple times that it does not look nice and I am unhappy. Awful experience. Was way overcharged and was not told I was being upcharged. The person who did my moms nails made her bleed and was talking to her about very inappropriate racial topics. The lady who did my nails put gel on my nails and left it for 15 minutes before realizing she did gel instead of regular polish. It wasn't until my mom was finished that apparently she realized she put the wrong stuff on and decided to take it all of and repaint all my nails instead of just using the gel light. She messed up and would rather waste the product and more of my time (which i didn't have) to take it all off and repaint it. horrible. will never go back. read more

My nail salon wasn't open and decided to give this place a try . The staff is nice and my nail tech was really nice as well which is the only reason for the 2 star review. However the quality was really disappointing. The first nail that broke was the middle finger, I was just lifting a carpet and it broke. Didn't think much of it , went in paid the $5 to fix it. The second nail that broke was the middle on my right hand while I went to grab a bottle of water. The third nail that broke was my index finger on my left hand while I was EATING BREAD. Went in for a gel pedicure and a dip manicure because my normal nail salon is closed on Sundays. Upon arrival, I had gel on my toes, and dip on my hands. I was charged for: dip removal, gel removal, manicure,pedicure, dip, and because I "changed my nail shape" (yes, all separate charges). I paid $85 (plus tip) for a regular pedicure and dip manicure. Owner was very rude. I asked my friend if she had the same experience here (she recommended this spot). She told me she never gets charged for all that she charged me. Will not be going back. I hate cheating on my own nail salon, but when you're out of town and need your nails done, this nail salon is the best to go to in the area. If ever in Florida visiting my mom, this is the only place I will go to and trust. They take great pride in their sanitary standards of their nail tools and instruments and the salon is spotless. The nail tech who did my nails perfectly shaped my nails and did a great job today with my gel fill and gel polish, but I was a little surprised that I didn't get a short hand massage afterwards since I spent $45 and tipped generously. I would still come here and recommend it to all because it's hard to find a great place. They don't take Discover or American Express though and that is annoying since I want my miles, but I know they get charged a hefty percentage from these credit card companies so I get it. read more

Worst place. 1st - they do NOT sanitize . They don't clean equipment and the store is dirty. I had been here about a year ago so I decided to go here since the nail salon I usually go to is closed till September . Bad mistake. Worst experience ever. I went for a French dip and a pedicure. The First Lady they gave me started right in with the dremel then started putting on the base. I asked if she was going to soak my hands first . I saw Tina which is who I used in the way past. Then said I used to go to her. Another mistake. Still no soak like there usually is. I touched the water the First Lady finally brought over and it was ice cold. I told Tina the other lady already used the dremel she used it anyway. She also cut me with the dremel so that was bleeding. When Tina had finished the gel was all over the tips of my fingers. I asked if she was going to clean it up and she said to wash and it will come off. Knowing that it doesn't and is hardened i appeased her and when I went back and showed her she stated cutting it off. I told her to stop cutting because she was cutting my skin. She then started filling my fingertips. When she was done she said to go sit at the certain pedi chair . There was no water in the tub and no liner . I didn't put my feet in the tub. When they other lady came she put the liner in and started filling the tub. She did nothing . She put a little and I mean little drop of lotion or something on my feet and wiped it right off. She did massage my calf's which was the only good part about the appointment. Then she started to paint my toes and since she didn't put anything between my toes they were touching each other. Looking over at an older man in a pedi chair Tina was doing his pedi with no liner in the tub and it had not been cleaned. Watching the employees moving from one person to another from the tables to the chair not cleaning anything . It was the worst $80 spent They should be ashamed of charging people for this read more

We went here due to Yelp reviews and at first this nail salon made a positive impression. There are a lot of stations for both pedicures and manicures. Unfortunately, I spent my entire time there for a pedicure and manicure in pain due to the "scalding" hot water for the foot bath! As I placed my feet in the water I yelled in pain but no one paid attention. And the owner was in the room but ignored me. As the pedicure continued my skin became red and blisters developed on my toes! Next I had a simple manicure and the owner was sitting right across from me. So I said something about the burns on my feet and she only replied that I should check the water temperature before putting them in the tub! I asked her if she knew what happened and she replied that she heard me yelling! She never even came over to look at my feet! Unbelievable. I have visited Sunshine Nails on several occasions and it has been a mixed bag. Pedicures are great. Acrylics on the other hand .. not so much! I recently paid $50 for a set of nails and gave a generous tip after. The woman who did my nails was very meticulous and did a good job in the application, however within seven days the entire set had popped off like they were glue-on nails! The whole set gone!! I'm convinced it is not the nail tech, but perhaps the products they use. Every time I have given them a chance at my acrylics they have not lasted until the next fill. Kinda disappointed. I went to this location today (after being a regular costumer @ the Conroy location over the years) and I was happy w/ my pedicure here! Same awesome service as my usual location and the nail technician was just as nice! I also liked how they scrub my feet and gave me a relaxing foot massage! With the chair massager.... I could just fall asleep there! :*) And the prices aren't that expensive here: $22 for a regular pedi in the massaging chair... $10 for a regular mani....$30 for a mani+pedi..... AND they use OPI and Essie products!!! I found it on Yelp so trusted the previous persons stars. 1) nail tech had the water way to hot for my preference and still didn't change it after I told her 2) she cut my cuticles a few times (& no apology 3) scratched her face with one of the tools 4) had a bumpy application on my big toe when I told her she just applied clear polish over it (I'll post a pic) 5) she washed her utensils in the foot bath after she placed my feet out. I'm new to the area and looking for a salon that does liquid gel, most places only do gel powder which is acrylic. The lady who did my pedicure did a great job and made the experience bearable. For my hands the lady did good apart from the color and being rough and pretty rude. Overall the experience was non stop chat in foreign language, no eye contact, not feeling welcome and the colors on the nail charts don't match the colors in the bottles. I wanted a dark cerise pink on toes and hands. I have orangey red toes and a bright pink on my hands. Also it's an extra $5 to file your nails!! I went to this place based on the previous reviews, which is what prompted me to write this review. They do not sanitize their materials, there was dead skin on the materials she tried to use on me. Then her and another worker laughed about it when I asked if they sanitize. Then as people came in they would say it'll only be a few minutes and laughed. 3 different people walked in and stormed out after waiting for up to 30 minutes on their few minute estimate. My massage was a total of 3 minutes, even with the upgrade charge I paid. When I asked to speak to a manager or owner they laughed again and said no owner. It started with some man who was taking forever to do my stiletto nail set but once the owner took notice she quickly took over to speed up the process without me having to mention a word. The manager and the owner came in later with no masks and proceeded to run all around the salon, getting inches from a customer's face, eating and carrying food around the salon from PHO, which the owner also owns. Today was my second time at this nail salon. Highly disappointed.. The first time I was unhappy with the results, but I figured I would give it another chance.. Bad decision!!... the lady who did my nails gets up to go do an eyebrow wax, after only being with me less than five minutes.. I wasn't upset at this point. I know there are people coming in and out for other services, and they want to get paid and not lose a customer.. I get it.. But then, her phone rings... She answer it too! I have never witnessed this before.. So rude.. After clipping my nails, she files them so hard that my big toe bled a little bit... She was pretty rough.. After she finished scrubbing and prepping my toes for the color, she sprays 409 in the tub.. Then wipes her hand and keeps working on me. I did not find that pleasant, or okay.. More customers come in, she sits them, and she finishes me in a rush. Then she tells me to let them dry for five minutes. Five minutes turns into twenty, she forgets to give me the polish I brought in, so I ask for it back..She half assed everything. Extremely disappointing. My toes do not look good. Lily did wonderful pedicure! Location is run down strip mall and nail store is average at best. Seems clean and I noticed they used a new set of tools for each patron.
