Highly recommended. I get all of my Suits from here. The store is amazing and it is located very well in the heart of Red Bank. I always stop by when I'm in the area and check out their inventory. The quality of the material they have is top notch and second to none. I've turn a couple of my coworkers into customers too. They love going to get their suits done by the professionals here and the customer service is top notch. Vinny also is such a great and personable person to do business with. We wanted to love Sciortino Tailors from the moment we walked in. We are getting married in Red Bank this coming September. Having a love for all things bespoke and wanting to support local businesses - we went to Sciortino to get a custom made suite for my fiance. We spent a good while fawning over fabrics with a young woman - and finally chose the right one. She measured him, we paid the $1,300 for a custom suit and we left feeling elated at our choice. That was all to be shattered the next time we visited the store. After 2 months, we were called to come in for the fitting. To our dismay the suit looked like it had been a hand me down from a great grandfather who had an affinity for MC Hammer pants. We could handle it - didn't expect it to fit the first time - but were dismayed when Vincent seemed more concerned about making it to his daughter's dance recital than fitting our suit. Either way - we explained how we wanted it to be fixed and left - still optimistic. Three weeks later - my fiance called to see if the suit was ready - it was we were informed, and came in to try it the next Saturday. So my fiance puts on the suit - and I am kidding you not. It hadn't been touched. Not in the jacket - not in the MC Hammer pants. Clearly nothing had been done. I expressed my anger/frustration with the woman working that day (Vincent was nowhere to be found) and she said that it most likely had been put back in the "finished" closet without being altered. I'm guessing Vincent had to scurry off to his daughter's dance recital shortly after we left that day. Nevertheless - the optimistic people we are - felt confident in the tailor working that day - and explained, once again where the suit should be altered. After another two weeks - we received the suit via UPS today. (We couldn't bear to visit the store again) Jacket seems to have been fixed - but MC Hammer's legacy lives on in the pants. We are absolutely disgusted with the service we received (mostly from the owner Vincent) and are extremely unhappy with the result of our suit. I feel most badly about the fact that it was supposed to be a joyous occasion for my fiance to receive his wedding suit, but unfortunately he is so upset. I want him to feel proud and handsome - but he is now concerned about finding a tailor to make his very expensive suit better. We will never go back to Sciortino Tailors and if you are looking for a modern cut suit - I encourage you to find somewhere else as well. As I said before - we wanted nothing but to LOVE our experience and the suit, and sadly it didn't work out that way. read more

When I got my first job, Vinny made me several suits and jackets. They fit so well, I will never go back to wearing store-bought. The service I received was also spectacular--I was always informed about the timetable and I received my clothes in a timely manner. If I could rate Sciortino Tailors 10 stars, I would. After reading Stacey's review, I can't believe how similar my experience was to hers. and, mine was 4 years later. My son was getting married and I decided that I wanted to have a suit custom made, so I researched bespoke suits, and found a tailor close to me that had an impressive website and, supposedly a history of famous clients. I think they must have been his father's clients . So, I show up in July looking for suit for a November wedding and was told, no problem, plenty of time. The original measurement would be followed by a fitting in 2 to 3 weeks. After about 7 weeks I called, and was told to come in the following week for the fitting at 10 AM. At 10AM I was there, but Vinnie didn't show up till noon. I am taking time off my work for this and it is starting to cost me money to run back and forth to Red Bank. Anyway, the fitting goes well, and he asks all the questions about how I want the suit made. I requested a center vent in back, and cuffs on the pants as well as flat front pants. I then wait another month for the next fitting, and am told it is plenty of time before the wedding. The suit comes in with side vents, even though I made a special call to request a center vent. He realized that he wrote down the right thing, he just didn't make it that way. He was very apologetic, and said he wanted to make it up to me by making me a sport jacket. He even had me pick out the fabric. he was also going to make me a new jacket with the center vent, and give me the side vent jacket that was already made. This was a gesture that made me feel much better about Vinnie Sciortino. It was at this time that I decided to have a suit made for my son as well. I wanted him to have a custom suit for his wedding. This is August, and I am told that it will all be done in time for the wedding, so now I am out $4,750.00 for 2 suits. In hindsight, it looks like I got robbed after seeing that Stacey paid $1300 for her suit. The story only gets worse, he is supposed to make alterations to my pants, and when I go to try them on, I find that they didn't do any alterations. So another week to have them altered. My son's suit went about the same way, weeks to do nothing on the suit. Then a rush at the end to get it done. I have to say, in the end we ended up with 2 very nice suits. I never got the second suit jacket, or the sport jacket that he promised me. I did get a tie made in china, and 2 dress shirts. Would I recommend Sciortino tailor's, no way. I did get the opportunity to share my story with many friends who knew I was having a suit custom made. I am now looking for a new tailor for my next suit, as is my son who wears a suit daily for his work. I gave them 1 star, but the suit gets 4. Save yourself the pain and suffering and take your $2,750.00 to someone who will give you an experience that you will want to repeat. Not the experience that you want to forget. read more
