Someone called her and - she said "I do this walk 7 days a week and it looked like rain... so I decided not to show" It was perfect weather. Beautiful. Super lame. Don't trust.... It was the perfect kind of day, not too hot and not too cold which was nice. We went to Brant Lighthouse for pictures, Steppes beach, the windmill, the oldest house, and through downtown Nantucket Town. The last stop was the Brewery, which was the perfect spot to enjoy lunch and relax. Absolutely recommend this fun excursion, and Cole was amazing! He just graduated from college, so 2017 might be his last summer working for this company, but if you can ride with Cole, it's a real treat.

We had Marcus as a tour guide, and it was readily apparent how much he loves history, and how excited hew as to share his wealth of knowledge. We booked the to the brewery tour, which lasted couple of hours and ended at the Cisco Brewery where there is a free shuttle back to town. The ride was listed as moderate, but coming from someone who hasn't ridden a bicycle in 10 years, I found it extremely easy. It's very slow paced, my advice is to ride towards the front so you can engage the tour guide in conversation. Plenty of stops with shade and water refills. You will not be disappointed with this tour. Bonus is no cover charge once you get to the brewery!

It was along the lines of "There are 3 cemeteries in Nantucket and 1 Elementary school...." and then a couple minutes asking questions about what she just said and expecting everyone to shout back the answer, over and over. It just got annoying after a couple times. The rest of the group seemed into it though. So mileage may vary. There's a lot of interesting and good information, and I liked the people. But.... The first half of the tour is in an old mini bus. The bus has tiny windows, like 4" square, and no air circulation. No fans. No air conditioning. Today was nearly 90 out by 10 am, when our tour started, and temperatures inside the bus got so hot that stepping out felt cool! You don't travel far, and then they stop for 10 minutes to talk about what's out the window. It's brutal. Ironically, the travel distances are so slim most people could walk it. But, just sitting on the bus in the heat? Yuck. The second half is in an old shed where you learn about harvesting. Again, it could be interesting, but it's a good 10° hotter, even with the fans going, and it makes it hard to focus. Or even listen. Better weather would have helped. But, we had an old lady in our tour group nearly pass out, and the guide indicated that that was not uncommon. Heck, complimentary water would be nice. Waters are a dollar. The tour is fifteen. It's all cash only.

The last time I was here, I did the African American history group tour, and it was pretty good. This tour was better because it was a private tour. I would recommend Craig's private tour for anyone.
