Enjoyed this tour yesterday on (I presume) one of its last runs of the season. A touch too long at 75 minutes, but informative, and a good opportunity to see a wide range of the island when traveling on foot. Seems to follow a standard round town and then out to Siasconset route. I felt the 'Sconset segment could have been condensed, though it was intriguing to see that distinctly different area of the island for the first time. Some historical details, such as the whaling era, were primarily verbally referenced, and it might benefit the traveler to have more context to see them or a more immediate connection such as a discount admission to the Whaling Museum. Nonetheless, after only two prior visits to Nantucket, both on foot, I'm glad I used this time and resources to see more of the island in this tour bus way. Pleasingly informal overall; not too large scale or industrial size ambitions with this tour.

I gave it one star because the tour guide, although a bit difficult to understand with her accent was informative. DONT ALLOW DOGS on the bus if you want your patrons to enjoy the tour!!!! My God, dog walking freely on the bus shaking hair and water on us!!!! It kept jumping from seat to seat and it was horrible! The air conditioning unit in the back of the bus was sooo incredibly loud that people who have heating issues in no way could hear or understand the guide. Such A DISAPPOINTMENT! lol

This was the highlight of our trip to Nantucket. We did the "Bike to the Brewery" tour with Cole…read more He was a great guide, giving us lots of historical knowledge about the sites we went to. It was the perfect kind of day, not too hot and not too cold which was nice. We went to Brant Lighthouse for pictures, Steppes beach, the windmill, the oldest house, and through downtown Nantucket Town. The last stop was the Brewery, which was the perfect spot to enjoy lunch and relax. Absolutely recommend this fun excursion, and Cole was amazing! He just graduated from college, so 2017 might be his last summer working for this company, but if you can ride with Cole, it's a real treat.

I saw the old tour buses driving around, and it really didn't interests to sit on a bus and ride around. We decided in Nantucket bike tours due to the phenomenal reviews. We were not disappointed. We had Marcus as a tour guide, and it was readily apparent how much he loves history, and how excited hew as to share his wealth of knowledge. We booked the to the brewery tour, which lasted couple of hours and ended at the Cisco Brewery where there is a free shuttle back to town. The ride was listed as moderate, but coming from someone who hasn't ridden a bicycle in 10 years, I found it extremely easy. It's very slow paced, my advice is to ride towards the front so you can engage the tour guide in conversation. Plenty of stops with shade and water refills. You will not be disappointed with this tour. Bonus is no cover charge once you get to the brewery!

There's a lot of interesting and good information, and I liked the people. But.... The first half of the tour is in an old mini bus. The bus has tiny windows, like 4" square, and no air circulation. No fans. No air conditioning. Today was nearly 90 out by 10 am, when our tour started, and temperatures inside the bus got so hot that stepping out felt cool! You don't travel far, and then they stop for 10 minutes to talk about what's out the window. It's brutal. Ironically, the travel distances are so slim most people could walk it. But, just sitting on the bus in the heat? Yuck. The second half is in an old shed where you learn about harvesting. Again, it could be interesting, but it's a good 10° hotter, even with the fans going, and it makes it hard to focus. Or even listen. Better weather would have helped. But, we had an old lady in our tour group nearly pass out, and the guide indicated that that was not uncommon. Heck, complimentary water would be nice. Waters are a dollar. The tour is fifteen. It's all cash only.
