The woman behind the counter was so sugary sweet to the lady she was helping before, but when it was my turn she barely looked at me, kept talking to other women in the store, basically threw my card back down on the counter and was just plain rude! Will never recommend or go back in!

This place surprised me…read more I am very guilty of shunning a business based on a goofy name. This place was no exception, but my mom had been in months before and had good things to say. I returned with her and my sister last weekend. I felt like a superstar when I came in the door. The two women working that day were so kind, attentive and genuine. They knew when to jump in and when to back off...I appreciate that sort of sales style. They carry brands like Velvet and some other common California brands. I am not saying everything here is a home run, but there are some really strong selections. The jewelry here is very economical. If you are into jewelry, you will recognize knock off pieces from designers like Bittar and Chan Luu. They could probably lose some of the cheap trinket stuff up by the register and bring in a few other mid-priced brands like Trina Turk, Minkoff and Parker just to step up their game. They are in an area of town where they should not be afraid to jump to a higher price point. Great store. Great ladies. Check it out.

First off, kind of a perfect location for those in the neighborhood as you can knock out a lot in Corinth Square and grab some gifts along the way. If you're a National Park lover, look for their candles, postcards and puzzles. They also have cool coffee mugs and some of the best looking blankets I've seen around town. Hard to nail down specifics in this review because there are so many unique things, but those were some standouts that caught my eye. Shop local and check this spot out! Oh and I should add their website has a LOT of the goodies you can find if you need some inspiration: https://www.tylerkingston.com/

In a recent review I mentioned taking my wife on a "day date" to visit several locally owned shops…read moreof unique character. The second stop on that list was Tyler Kingston Mercantile. Situated in the Corinth shopping area of Prairie Village, it was hard to miss this location. The parking lot was busy, but it was the weekend before Thanksgiving and the weather was GORGEOUS, so why wouldn't people be out?! :-) The store was spacious and open with lots of natural light. It was a lovely place to shop. We saw a collection of boho-chic clothing and accessories as well as various collectibles and gifts... a good selection over all. There was also a rich collection of Kansas City garb and gifts. My favorite items were in the barware section. In total there were great gift options for both men and women. There were two sales associates on duty and both were friendly and helpful. My wife loved the shop even more than I and added it to her list of places to take her sisters when they visit from Texas.

They have some nice jeans and dresses, also. Most of their clothes are generally upper brands, and designer. Personally I like thrift stores like this. A cute pair of pink flats caught my eye, and accessories. It's a cute little shop, so don't expect huge. The staff are very nice, and I like what Heartstrings do. I could've spent alot of money there, which seems to be the case on both sides of Santa Fe in downtown Overland Park, in all the stores and restaurants. Sacks is a thrift store, owned by Heartstrings. http://www.heartstringscf.org/history.asp. I will go back, just to see what they have. It's one of those stores, if you see something right then, you should get it, cause it won't be there the next time you go.

Sells stuff you can find at target, walmart, jcpenny, etc. Prices are okay. Overall nothing to write home about in terms of what they have to offer. Store is blatantly religiously affiliated, if that matters to any potential customers, and they will be playing christian radio stations. My biggest gripe with this business is the uncomfortable customer service experience. The person working the counter claimed i "messed up the racks" by looking at items? I was the only customer in the store at the time, but I wasnt ripping through racks by any means and actively made sure to leave items/racks how they were, so i genuinely dont understand what this comment was made for. It felt uncomfortable and inappropriate to be addressed this way, almost in a disciplinary manner. I absolutely understand wanting to keep the store organized and being upset that you just finished reorganizing things, but this is a store where people will be shopping. If you cant handle people simply looking at clothes, then maybe you shouldnt own/work a clothing store ! (: Due to the lack of vintage clothing and the unnecessary comments made by the attendant, I wont be back
