I am such a fan of Scoop DeVille. My go-to location is at The Bourse, but my husband ordered a birthday cake for me from this location (the mint chip one - everyone loved it) in August, and I also popped in while I was in the area earlier this week. Scoop is known for their blends but I am all about the hard ice cream. The flavors rotate all the time and they are often very Philly-centric which is so fun. I ordered a pint of dough boi and the young guy who took my order absolutely stuffed that pint to the brim! This location didn't seem to have as much variety in terms of desserts and ice cream flavors, but perhaps it was just the timing of my visit. I did notice that they had loads of ice cream cakes ready for the taking so this is a great spot to get a gourmet ice cream cake that will beat out any grocery store option. read more

The quantity they give is quite a lot, but the quality is highly compromised. I won't be coming back here again, in my opinion it's a waste of money. BEST ICECREAM IN PHILLY!!! Have been going here for years. It's basically like a bougie version of Cold Stone Creamery! They have premade mixed flavors, but you can also choose to create your own mix. I have tried so many different flavors - my favorites are definitely the Oreo mudslide and the strawberry shortcake. The icecream is rich, creamy, and perfectly blended. The have cup sizes ranging from small to large. The small is definitely enough for a treat! Medium usually lasts me two servings. Randomly looked for desserts in Center City one Friday night and came across this amazing place. When you first walk in, you're a little overwhelmed by all the options. SO many different types of dessert - ice cream, cheesecake, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, etc etc. i was happy that everything was in one place. Also, the staff was amazing - very kind, answered questions, made recommendations, delivery/representation on point. For the ice cream, they have signature blends or you can create your own. I decided to customize a signature blend and it was DELICIOUS. Definitely satisfied my sugar craving. It was really filling. I ordered the smallest size and i was struggling to finish it on my own. A great place to visit with your discount on Yelp! When you check-in you get a 1 size upgrade on a blend which means that you can get a medium size for the price of a small. This is such great deal because a medium is the perfect size. I would defiantly recommend using this perk! The way you make the ice cream is you choose the flavor of a base and then you pick toppings that you want to mix in. They blend everything together which, makes a nice texture for the ice cream. The ice cream itself was okay nothing too exciting. But this is one place that you should try if you are around in the Philly area looking for places to try! They have like a hundred toppings that you could choose from, from bananas to bacon bits, I could never imagine blending the latter one though! I had a wonderful time at Scoop Deville with a bunch of friends. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves on a lazy Saturday afternoon. There weren't a ton of different ice cream flavors, but there was a plethora of topping choices and various other desserts/candies and sweet things! There were also quite a few choices of ways to get the ice cream served: Mixed in and soft serve, sundae style, shakes & smoothies, and so on. I opted for the brownie ice cream sundae which included 2 different flavors of ice cream and 3 toppings. I chose Coffee ice cream and Moose Tracks ice cream, but I had a tough time choosing which toppings but finally decided on rice crispy treats, strawberries, and marshmallow cream. The lady at the counter was not that accommodating or friendly. She started scooping in the ice cream when I asked her if she could serve mine mix-in style, to which she responded that she already started making it so she couldn't- Which I didn't quite understand. Then I noticed when it was time for the rice crispy treats to be added, the lady was putting in loose Rice Crispies cereal, which was definitely not what I wanted. When I see rice crispy treats on the menu, I expect that they are the actual rice crispy treats held together with marshmallow and not just cereal itself. So, she made me a new sundae but didn't seem to recall that I had asked earlier if I could have the toppings mixed in and didn't even ask if that is what I wanted before she started. I just let it slide and to replace the rice crispies, I asked for the peanut butter cookie dough bits. After all of that, I was absolutely satisfied with this delectable concoction of quality ice cream and delicious add-ins. There was more Coffee ice cream than Moose Tracks ice cream. The Coffee ice cream was smooth, creamy and the flavor was wonderful! Moose Tracks was also pretty good with the great taste of chocolate and peanut butter mixed in. The strawberries were fresh and refreshing; the peanut butter cookie dough was very peanut-buttery and delightful and the sweet marshmallow cream covered everything! In addition to all that, there was a rich, chewy, warm chocolatey brownie underneath. It was amazing and oh so tasty! All of that was $7 and I even got a free cookie with my Yelp check in! I would definitely come back, however with this caveat: This was definitely sugar overload so not something to get too often but as a special treat. read more

We weren't expecting all the options and will have to browse the website before we go next time, since we like to go on our breaks and have limited time to decide. The workers are nice, and follow all social distancing guidelines. Only 3 groups in at once. Hand sanitizer available and a separate window pickup area for delivery drivers. My daughter, however, had scooped ice cream. It wasn't soft, nor melted. I take the ice cream to the guy and simply said sir this isn't soft he said I know it's a Sundae. This is purely preference, but the ice cream is very watery and icy. Almost tastes like a sorbet instead of a cream based ice cream. It was so bad, I didn't finish any of them and threw them out. We got the butterfingers and cookies and cream. My friend tried the vegan option and it tasted like barely flavored ice, but not like water ice. Overall, very disappointed, especially with all the great reviews. There aren't too many good ice cream places in Philly. read more

This is one of my favorite places ever to get dessert. They have one of those way too rarely seen machines that blends the ice cream with mix-ins to create a homogeneous mixture that is almost completely smooth but still has all of the identifiable tastes of the individual ingredients. To give you an example, my favorite is one of the many suggested sundae combos, the PB Cookie Crunch: Cookies & Cream ice cream, chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut butter and Cap'n Crunch cereal ($5.50 for a small, which is plenty large). This genius combo is even better when completely blended together, as they do here. No need to worry about cutting your gums on that Cap'n Crunch - it is ground up completely, so you still get that great taste, along with all of those other great flavors in a thick, delicious cup of amazingly satisfying ice cream. I can't emphasize enough how much you need to come here. Forget Franklin Fountain and Bassett's - if you can only pick one place to get some frozen goodness for dessert (which is silly though), then you should come here for a really unique experience and some of the best-tasting dessert around. read more
