What a fun, cheery, kid friendly ice cream outing. I loved the cute, inviting layout and colorful umbrellas. Ooh so many flavors to choose from. I hemmed and hawed at them as if they were a research paper needing to be memorized. This place has grub too. It's the perfect stop, after a long day on the road. It kinda brought out the kid in me, as I sat there, looking around and mainly focusing on my chocolate Grand Slam scoop, with chocolate jimmies. Life is good. read more

Neat little spot. We were in town working over at the Americold site and needed a quick bite to eat. My colleague had eaten at this place earlier in the week and he said the place was fast and food was good. He was correct on both accounts. They are not doing indoor seating, so we ordered from a window and sat at a picnic table outside. We both ordered philly cheese steak with fries. The staff was very friendly. Payment was easy. Food came out fast. The philly was very good. Could have used more meat but the prices were fair. I would have paid extra for more meat. Had we more time on this hot July Tuesday, I would have gotten an ice cream too. :-) read more

The food is typically below par and I leave saying, "they should stick with ice cream." I was pleasantly surprised. The young lady behind the counter was friendly and patient as my 9 year old debated over flavors. The chicken sandwich was of better quality than some other "higher end" establishments I've visited. The kids portion was the appropriate amount and priced right. It was nice to be able to enjoy our ice cream cones under the gazebo out of the sun. I called was treated with respect and open arms to come back and they would gladly fix it. They did & refunded my hole bill!! Food and ice cream is delicious too!!! My family and I met my sister and niece at this restaurant on a hot Friday evening for ice cream. It is tucked away from the main road but is not hard to find and when we were there, it was "Christmas in July" so the decorations led the way! There was plenty of outdoor seating and we were able to get a table right away. In addition, they had an outdoor window that you could walk up to to place your order. This place serves all kinds of American grille food but they also have a nice Turkey Hill ice cream selection. To top it off, they had a sundae section that caught my eye from the second I saw the menu. Normally I like ice cream as is, but the combinations were stellar and all very appealing. Knowing a sundae would be quite large, my dad and I decided to share. We went with the Peanut Butter Extreme - Peanut Butter Sundae ice cream topped with peanut butter sauce, whipped cream, Reese's Pieces and a cherry. I was able to substitute Peanut Butter Cups for the Reese's Pieces for no charge. We had a regular size which was two HUGE scoops with all of the goodies piled on top. It was beyond delightful and barely (sort of!) finishable between the two of us. You get your moneys worth for sure. My husband had an all chocolate sundae that he really enjoyed and I believe all of my other family members agreed that this was a place we have to come back to. The employees were friendly, the price was more than reasonable, the ice cream was quick to be served to us, and there was plenty of space to hang out outside. My granddaughters and I visited Scoops for the first time yesterday and what a lovely surprise. The mini golf course was so pristine and beautifully designed with most holes under shade trees. I was skeptical at first whether or not I would like the food from an ice-cream place (DQ food gave me trust issues haha). I must say, that the burger I had was absolutely fantastic! The size was decent, taste and flavor was on point. Also, I finally got a chance to test out the mini golf course. I do find that the price of an adult to play is a bit high compared to other establishments.. but still ended up playing the course anyways. Saw an interesting combination on menu & decided to try it; chicken cheesesteak with bacon, fried onions & ranch dressing. It was delicious! I was a little leary of the ranch dressing so I requested it on the side. I put a little on my chicken cheesesteak & to my surprise, it was really good! Enjoyed the homemade potatoes chips that came with sandwich as well. I dipped the potato chips in my leftover ranch dressing. My daughter had the chicken tenders & French fries basket & said chicken tenders were some of the best she's ever eaten. Of course we had to order ice cream while we were here & it was fabulous! We've been visiting Scoops for ice cream probably as long as they've been in business. Even though a small cone costs as much as a half gallon it's just nice sitting outside and taking a break with a cone on a hot summer day. The flavors are plentiful and the teenage staff are always efficient and nice. The fact that they almost always have BOGO coupons in the newspaper or Clipper is sprinkles on the cone! We also enjoy the events they hold; car shows, family friendly events, world's largest sundae and so on. They also offer mini golf which we never did there and have a mobile ice cream truck that shows up at different local events; including once at my work when a co-worker won a radio promotion. We knew they offered food also but until recently never had anything but ice cream. We figured it would be frozen crap just heated up and not homemade - boy were we wrong! My burger was thick and juicy complete with a better quality (toasted!) bun and sauteed onions! The fries were hand cut and not the least bit greasy. My daughter was equally impressed with her meal of the same thing, and all for the cost of $7.95 each! While their offerings are limited, there's still plenty of choices; soup, salads, wraps, several different burger choices, etc....and since you place your order at the counter and wait on it no tipping required! OMG!!!! Went to a basketball tourney and found this lil gem on yelp. Long line outside to order, due to COVID. the inside is closed but the weather was so nice we enjoyed eating outside. The burger my hubby had was so-so. My boys liked their burgers but weren't raving about it. My California cheesesteak was pretty good. But the ice cream and shaved ice were AWESOME!!!!! Overall the dill pickle was crispy and tasted good; everything else was pretty lousy. The guy who waited on me said they are known for their cheese steak sandwiches and their menu picture on the front of the menu portrayed this overflowing mound of steak sandwich meat which filled and spread the hoagie roll wide in all directions. There were several pictures of French Fries pictured on the menu all portraying the regular frozen fries and fried to a crisp golden yellow tone. OK, here is what we received. I ordered the Scoops Cheese Steak and the wife had the California Cheese Steak, each with fries. Both tasteless steak sandwiches had so little meat within the roll it only came about one-third up the roll and the fries were pathetic. Not the type advertised in their menu, we were served a frozen type with skins on them and they were overdone and very brown looking. I hate these type of fries and would never have ordered them if Scoops Menu was accurate with truly what type of food they were serving. The fountain soda was terrible and we tried several flavors; no syrup, no fizz, just flat tasting carbonated water for each. I have one more coupon left and I will use it only to buy ice cream which should be good seeing they serve Turkey Hill Ice Cream. Why there's a big fuss over this place is beyond me. It's literally just Turkey Hill ice cream scooped into store bought cones. When we went (with a group that insisted on going) we ended up spending $10 for 2 cones. I could've and should've gone and bought 2 half gallons and a box of cones from the grocery store.
