    The whole place!

A pleasant little stand, reminds me of drive in movie walk ups (yes I'm old enough). We clearly haven't been out for ice cream in a long time. We spent $16 for 2 small cones, tasty, but yikes. I guess I looked at the menu and the prices just didn't register until the young lady said it out loud. The menu is also a bit busy, I guess for a local/regular you know what you want so not a big deal. My on negative (more of a nuisance), there was no way to wash your hands after ice cream melts all over you. No restroom at a food place with seating (nice metal bench tables under an awning on side of building) seems odd. Must be a PA zoning thing. I understand business owner benefit, but not very welcoming.

I'm very lucky to have Little Dipper's (LD) so close to my place. Back in Virginia, it was difficult to find ice cream shoppes. LD is the perfect place for your ice cream cravings. They serve Turkey Hill and Penn State Creamery. They also have soft serve and Italian ice. They have a large outdoor seating area and even a drive-thru. Plenty of parking. And the girls who work there are always friendly. It's open roughly from April-October so plenty of time to enjoy the delicious ice cream at LD. The serving sizes are enormous but thankfully they also have a kiddie size.

Huge portions! Smalls are like larges here, so downsize your order. The soft serve and water ice are must haves!

Every time one of their creations popped up in my feed, I'd stop scrolling and think, "I need to get there." The problem was finding an excuse to get myself anywhere near Elizabethtown. Thankfully, the stars eventually aligned when I found myself attending Elizabethtown's 2nd Friday community event. Not only was Figments in Sprinkles open, they were also participating in the community scavenger hunt AND handing out stickers for the community's sticker books (that I am now the proud owner of). Even better? I also received a coupon for $5 off an ice cream creation that was only valid that night. SAY LESS. THIS IS HAPPENING. TONIGHT! Before I even parked my car, I already knew exactly what I was ordering because, again, weeks of social media reconnaissance. The Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Lover Sundae featuring their Peanut Butter Pie ice cream. This magnificent creation included hand-scooped Peanut Butter Pie ice cream topped with warm Reese's peanut butter sauce, chopped Reese's peanut butter cups, Reese's Pieces, chopped peanuts, whipped cream, peanut butter chips, and color-coordinated sprinkles. Original price: $11. Price after my 2nd Friday coupon: $6.33. The Universe was clearly rewarding me for my patience. The shop was BUSY when I arrived. The line stretched through much of the store, but it moved surprisingly quickly considering every customer has the opportunity to completely customize their sweet treat. Honestly, half the fun is looking around while you wait. And there is A LOT to look at. The decor at Figments in Sprinkles is wonderfully eclectic in the best possible way. Disco balls everywhere. Funky chandeliers. Bright colors. Unexpected details around every corner. At one point I found myself staring at a purple deer mount wearing pearls and a crown and thinking, "Yes. This makes perfect sense." The entire place feels like someone took an ice cream shop, an art installation, and a fever dream and blended them together into something delightful. A few minutes later, my sundae was ready. And I am not exaggerating when I say I fell a little bit in love the moment I saw it. I grabbed my hot pink spoon, found one of the very limited seats available inside, and promptly disappeared into my own little peanut butter universe. I heard nothing. I saw nothing. I acknowledged nothing. There was only me and this glorious sundae. The Peanut Butter Pie ice cream was fantastic all by itself, but the warm Reese's peanut butter sauce pushed the whole experience into another category entirely. Every bite delivered some combination of peanut butter cups, peanuts, peanut butter chips, Reese's Pieces, whipped cream, or sprinkles. It was peanut butter bliss from beginning to end! But my favorite unexpected detail? My hot pink spoon changed color when it touched the cold ice cream. One minute it was pink. The next minute it was blue. Was this necessary? Absolutely not. Did it make me ridiculously happy? Absolutely yes! I loved it so much that I brought the spoon home with me. It's the little things! What impressed me most about Figments in Sprinkles is that it feels like more than just an ice cream shop. The creativity extends beyond the menu into the entire experience. The atmosphere is playful. The decor is memorable. The customization options are nearly endless. It feels like a destination rather than simply a place to grab dessert. I would recommend Figments in Sprinkles without hesitation. Fantastic ice cream. Endless possibilities. Funky, creative vibes. Friendly staff. And enough personality packed into one small space to make you smile before you ever take your first bite. I'll absolutely be back!
