This was a fun place. Great staff. Food comes quick. I had the twisted cheesesteak - YUMMY! We did a 4 flavor sample of the ice cream. One of the most creamy ice creams ever. Very satisfying. Great retro vibe. Very clean. Fair pricing. GO HERE.

If local, small town, comfy, home cooked meals is your vibe then this is the place to stop. They cook up diner favorites until 11am and then you can get their yummy lunch options. This day the white chicken chilli was packed with flavor, it was served nice and hot and the chunks of chicken to soup ratio was perfect. Along with that I tried the cheesesteak with was honestly one of the best made ones I've had outside of Philly. The onion, pickle, pepper, and a dash of mayo combo the chef does with it makes for a killer bite. The staff is always super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. If you're in the area be sure to stop in and don't forget to get a shake!

Very nice little diner with tons of town memorabilia as decor all over the place. Came in for breakfast after finding a discount on Clipp. The food was okay, nothing special to write about. All the staff are extremely friendly and our waitress was absolutely amazing. They're supposed to be known for their ice cream so I'll have to try it next time.

Very cute restaurant with all the memorabilia . We were there during lunch on a weekday and found a booth right away. By the time we left every booth was taken-the word must be out that this is a good place for tasty food. Our waitress (young lady with dark hair) was kind and quick to refill our drinks. The onion rings were definitely worth the upgrade charge on my husband's BLT. I had the chicken salad sandwich in brioche. It was great, but the only negative was that the sandwich was so filling I had no room for ice cream.

Super cute place with delicious food and great service. We stopped here for lunch and ordered their Darryl's Twisted cheesesteaks.

We chose this diner by chance and it surpassed all expectations. The strawberry malt was delicious and there were so many other flavors too- and then they gave me the "extra" in a separate cup. I ordered the lunker for lunch, and my friend got another one of the sandwiches on the lunch menu. I haven't had a good fried fish sandwich in a while, but this wowed me so much- the fish was perfectly fried and the bread was buttery, and it came with a separate cup of tartar sauce. The fries were perfect too. And then the owners were so nice and personal, it really added to the vibe of the place. The decor was so cute too, and we got the full experience with a bar seat. My friend and I would definitely return here again!!

First time coming here the food was good accept for the flounder sandwich was way overcooked, The service was fast and friendlly.

Until this week Griddles had a schedule that didn't match mine so I did not have the opportunity to try them before until now. Being someone who tries to stay on top of the local restaurant scene as much as possible, I became aware of this fairly new establishment months ago. A friend of mine recommended I go there and try their cheese steak a while ago but, again, I had not had the opportunity to do so previously until now! Parking is on the street and during normal business hours it requires payment to parking meters. Payment can be made by using traditional coins or via app. As soon as you enter the establishment you instantly get an old skool malt shop/fountain soda type of vibe based off their decor and ambient music playing in the background. This is a table service establishment...sit, review the menu, someone comes and takes your order, it's served, pay at table, leave. The establishment is small but service was friendly and quick. I ordered the Darryl's Twisted Cheese steak which is served on an Amoroso soft roll and comes with onions, sweet peppers, banana peppers, dill pickles, 1/2 pound of seasoned ribeye with some mayonnaise. I must admit, I thought the description of added dill pickles was unusual to me but they mixed in well with all the flavors. The sandwich comes with potato chips but you do have the option to get fries. I went with the chips assuming the fries would include an upcharge which I did not ask about. Overall, the sandwich was good. The menu does not indicate what kind of cheese they use but it's White American. I must also say they offer a "Philly Cheesesteak" which involves less ingredients and I would assume the same cheese is used on that one. The sandwich I ordered came to my table piping hot and I nearly burnt my lip taking my first bit, but THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT!!!! It's just a heads up. After letting it cool down a minute I was able to indulge. I ended up requesting a utensil to pick up remnants because it was packed to the point that filling was falling out of the roll as I chomped. At the end of the day, the sandwich was good. If there are any things I would want or suggest different would be to incorporate the cheese more thoroughly through the meat and to toast the roll. The roll seemed "too soft" to me... although it didn't break and split, I still personally prefer a harder roll, but that's just my preference. Regardless, I appreciated their decor, ambience and menu. I have seen posts on their social media that makes me want to go again. As a note, they have limited hours and they also serve breakfast.

Unique spot. Love the memorabilia. Small inside. We didn't have a long wait for a table. French toast with chipbeef is awesome. Definitely try a milkshake.

Griddles Malt Shoppe Visit 2.0 I returned to Griddles to check out another Breakfast selection on Saturday. This time, I got the "Champions Breakfast." This included Eggs, taters, bacon, sausage, Pancakes or French Toast, (In my case French Toast)....and....wait for it.....Toast. And here's where it exceeds everywhere else, right from the top. I'll tell you why; whenever you get breakfast elsewhere, you generally sacrifice included toast (For the dippy eggs) when you include French Toast or pancakes. Not here. And that's why they exceed the value anywhere else. (I usually have to add extra toast on for a ridiculous upcharge.) I gotta have toast for the dippy eggs, right? This all-inclusive breakfast costs you $11.75. That's it. Again, beating anywhere else I go for comparable. Food Review: All the basic things I reviewed before were as perfect as last time, even the taters. Today; bacon, (Cooked perfectly) and French Toast (Extraordinary) were the new items. I hate to sound like an ad for the place, but it's really that good. And good food makes a fat man happy ;-)

Walking into Hinkles makes you feel like you are stepping back in time. We visited on a very busy Sunday but arrived at the end of the lunch rush. Our server was friendly and communicative, having to deliver the unfortunate news that a few menu items we were interested in were all out. She did a really good job of helping us figure out what to order instead. The food was solid. I ordered a spinach salad and tater tot's. I was really impressed by the freshness of my salad and the chicken was clearly cooked to order and well seasoned. I wanted something healthy after eating out for multiple days on end, and this dish made me feel so much better. My dad went with the roast beef which he really enjoyed and kept commenting on the tenderness of the beef. My mom and brother went with the crab cakes and the hot dog-which they both finished completely and reportedly enjoyed. For dessert, my parents went with ice cream and lemon meringue pie. I didn't try the ice cream because lactose intolerance -but the bite of the pie I sampled was delicious. There is also an adjacent gift shop next to the restaurant which had tons of different gift options. They also offered us free candy for international women's day, which was a nice touch! Hinkle's is definitely worth a visit, and I'd especially recommend a visit for families- and don't skip on the dessert!

The fries has texture and flavor of re-refried fries. My friend said her soup was good but she would not get it there again. It was too watery for her liking. Her grilled sandwich was very good. The setting is absolutely beautiful. Their outdoor terrace overlooks a scenic garden area that looks like it might even host weddings--it's that picturesque. The ambiance is peaceful, charming, and ideal for a relaxing weekend meal, whether you've just finished a bike ride or are simply looking for a quiet dining spot in Marietta. The menu had a lot of fresh, well-crafted options, and the cocktail list was fun and inventive. I tried the lavender lemon drop, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the lavender complemented the classic citrusy flavor--an elegant twist on a traditional drink. For dinner, I went with the jalapeño cheddar burger, which was flavorful, juicy, and made with noticeably fresh ingredients. The fries were crisp and satisfying, while my mom and sister-in-law each opted for different sandwiches paired with house salads. They raved about the house-made vinaigrette, which had a fresh, tangy balance. We also started with the whipped feta dip and gouda mac and cheese--both were delicious. The feta was creamy and flavorful, and the mac had a rich, smoky bite to it. Our Entrees looked so delicious that I forgot to snap a photo beforehand. Service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus, and her suggestions were spot on. In terms of value, I was really impressed. With so many places these days serving tiny portions at high prices, Railroad House Inn stands out as a restaurant that delivers quality, fresh ingredients, and generous portions at a fair price. All in all, this was a five-star experience. Great food, beautiful location, warm service--I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, especially after enjoying the nearby Northwest Lancaster County River Trail.

And then it was down hill from there. We were seated right by the bussing station, I was staring at dirty dishes my entire meal, at one point I was hit and I spilled my entire cup of coffee all over my table and lap and had to clean it up myself. The French press itself was border line in drinkable. The grounds were too finely ground causing there to be grit throughout the entire pitcher of French press. We each had about one mug each. The food came out and my over easy eggs were over medium at best, the entire bottom of the yolk was hard through to the middle. Only one biscuit got gravy. And then once my partner finished his eggs he found a long black hair under where the eggs were. Needless to say we were very much done with The Bread Pedaler by the time this happened. We let the waitress know. She brought the check, which still included the food we didn't eat because there was a hair in it. Not wanting to start anything we just paid (still tipped 20% because I'm not a jerk) and left. I wish this was the great review I was hoping to leave. I was so excited to eat here. I'm here with two friends but didn't order tuna as it's breakfast and so I ordered eggs Benedict with turkey sausage instead of the Canadian bacon, and lemon on the side since I love my hollandaise sauce tangy. I get my order but not as I requested. Canadian bacon is in there and turkey sausage on a side plate. The hollandaise sauce looks like melted cheddar and no lemon on the side. Worst of all I cut into the poached eggs and they're too hard. Well I was just too disappointed in their skill level to ask them to redo. Our amazing waitress was trying to talk me into ordering something else if I didn't want a redo. She had a manager come by and I told him what I ordered and how I got it. It was ok I didn't want to trouble anyone. He insisted they'd get it right so I gave in. A few minutes later he presents me with jiggly poached eggs on top of turkey sausage and wedges of lemon.
