I have many challenges to my mobility with the large distances and so much to see in Las Vegas, the best solution is a scooter to accomplish this. Recently, I rented it from Scootaround, as I have done, previously. Staying at the Cosmopolitan, I received a call from the delivery driver, in ample time to meet him and take possession of the scooter. The scooter performed flawlessly. Upon return, again, I received a call from the driver, giving me adequate time to meet and turn it back in The delivery and pickup times were within minutes of when they were expected and I received calls, as to when they were going to arrive. I'm going to make this one a bit long, but if you are considering renting from here, I highly recommend reading through. DOUG, AND ONLY DOUG is the ONLY reason why this is a five star review. Let me explain. Doug dropped off our rental scooter for our elderly Mother on time, and was informative and insanely friendly. He explained the charging duration and life of battery, and we followed those instructions, exactly as stated. We had issues with the scooter all day with charging, and ended up STUCK at Allegiant Stadium with our handicapped Mother (who is not able to walk.... at all). I tried calling every number on our contract, even the after hours line which is considered their "faulty equipment emergency" line. We were literally stranded at the stadium and there was nobody answering ANY phone, and every contact available was not picking up. To say I was very angry that I had no way to get my handicapped Mother out of a three level football stadium (Literally, no way as Ubers were not allowed while the game was letting out) and the scooter had no charge. By the grace of God, I had my wife call the number that called us upon pick up and low and behold Doug answered our call, and OFF THE CLOCK, as he was already at the game with his son, brought my Mother a new scooter. Once again, OFF THE CLOCK..... when nobody at his company was answering. I hope y'all are paying this man what he deserves because we had no vehicle, and no other options for my Mother. AND, if it was not for Doug.... this review would be VERY, VERY different. As a company, those communication issues need to be fixed immediately...as if it was not for Doug, we would have been miles away from our hotel while already miles away from home. So, keep this in mind when renting from here. The second scooter he brought us had no issues for the remainder of our trip. Thank you, DOUG, AND DOUG ONLY for saving our trip. read more

I would have given Scootaround a five star rating but during my recent visit ( 9/25/25-9/28/25) I had a very disheartening experience with the driver. First off, I want to say the equipment I rented worked as expected. The driver,who delivered the equipment) on the other hand was very unprofessional. When I returned the power wheelchair, I asked for a receipt. The driver responded, we don't give receipts we are paperless. So I wanted to get a picture to show that I returned the chair on time and in good condition. The driver then started walking back to his van with the chair and ignored me as I'm yelling to stop. I slowly walked (with crutches) to his van (as he loaded the chair). I got to him as he was closing the back doors of the van and snapped a couple of pictures of his backside as he completely ignored me, again yelling at him. Not sure what his problem was because he never stopped to talk to me. Wow, I would not recommend this company because of the poor customer service. read more

Having a knee walker delivered to my hotel was a HUGE help!! Its adjustability was very nice, allowing optimal fit for people of different heights. However... the item left MUCH to be desired!! This knee walker had a knee "cushion" that didn't offer much cushion! On top of that, it was a split-cushion (see photo) that was VERY uncomfortable!! This knee walker made my visit to Las Vegas a little bit easier. Unfortunately, it also made things a lot more painful! The sidewalks on the Vegas strip have many cobblestone-like areas. Rolling over those sidewalks with the small, hard wheels (see photo) on the knee walker made things VERY painful!! Not only that, there were at least 5 separate incidents where I was almost injured by being thrown over the handlebars of the walker on gaps in the sidewalks. Every one those incidents could've been avoided if the knee walker had bigger, air-inflated tires. Lastly, the brakes, on the knee walker delivered to me, were completed worn down to the point I couldn't park it without worrying that it would roll away. These issues were not reported to the company until the knee walker was picked up on my last day there. Hopefully, they will use this information to make things better future users. read more

Before I write this, I did talk to the company about my issues. I was told I would receive a response to my complaint, and that never happened. Scootaround makes a HUGE deal about being there on time to receive and return the wheelchair, or you will be charged. But, they also refuse to allow it to be left with the front desk or the concierge of the hotel. So, come time to return the chair, I sat outside in the pouring rain for more than an hour. I realize it's vegas and usually warm out, but this wasn't the case this day. I was freezing and wet. This was not the way I would ever want to spend my time, let alone the last day of my vacation. My time wasn't worth anything? You let a customer, let alone a handicapped person, just sit outside in the rain for you? Someone called and said they would be there in 6 minutes, after I had already been outside for about a half hour. 45 minutes later, they finally showed up. This was completely rude and insensitive. If you expect your customers to respect your time, it absolutely MUST go both ways. Don't make a huge point of telling your customers you must be there if you do not do the same. Everything was great! Drop off and pickup were easy and they were there when they said they would be! My dad loved having it as he's scheduled for a knee replacement in a couple of weeks and never would have made it with all the walking in Vegas. It didn't seem to hold as much of a charge as I thought it would, but we made do and just had to plug in a few times while we were on the strip. Highly recommended!! Melissa was awesome!! She answered my many questions, had the scooter ready as promised, went over all the instructions and gave me some tips. I rented from the Vegas location and boarded a plane to Seattle for a cruise, no issues with Alaska Airlines with checking the scooter at the gate. Scooter worked perfect on the cruise and saved me by not having to walk through the airports and boarding the ship. The scooters battery life was very impressive, the most battery I used was only 1/8th. Returning the scooter took 3 minutes, Melissa was the best!! read more

Can't explain how thankful we are to have found this place last minute! We were not very planned thinkers when it came to grandma and walking the strip! Normally these guys only deliver- but they arranged for us to pick up same day! They arranged back and forth and were so patient! I don't even know if this is the current local franchisee for Scootaround. The nimber listed on Yelp doesn't work; and.nobody answeres the number that was used for delivery. But I feel that I MUST warn others about this company. I wrote a.detailed review on Scootaround's national HQ yelp page (Orlando FL). Here I will just say that the scheduled pickup time came and went, and nobody picked up. I called.the number.used for dropoff...no answer. I called the national number, they were.closed.because its 3 hours later there. At 7:30 this morning, we were awoken by a rep, who launched into a rude lecture about how WE failed to be available for pickup! The only pickup time I was offered TODAY was between 4-6 pm, accompanied.by a threat to be charged yet another extra day's rental fee.if we weren't available. So I have had to cancel a doctor's appointment, to accomodate some lazy pickup person who couldn't be bothered yesterday; nor anytime.before 4 pm today. I have proof that nobody ever called nor tried to get into our guard-gated community yesterday. My best guess is that this local franchisee has money troubles and was hoping to rack up a few "reschedule" and "extra days of rental" charges at our expense. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!! I offer this option: ALL the big casino-resorts have scooters for rent. They are a bit more, but you will know exactly where to return them, and you will be able to go get a replacement if one malfunctions. (I only used Scootaround because we were going on a multi-state trip; local companies wouldn't rent for out-of-state travel.) read more

Inconvenient policies and terrible customer service. They you can book online for a 4 hour drop off and 4 hour pick up window, but that doesn't guarantee that the device you selected will be available then. After booking online, someone calls and collects all the same information you entered online, and then tried to find out when if the equipment is available and when the drop off and pick up service are available. I waited on hold for 15 minutes while someone tried to check and see if my requested times were available, and then they had to end the call because their shift was over but they claimed someone else from the company would call me back when they had an answer. I've now been waiting over an hour for that call back. Do yourself a favor and stick with one of the local companies that actually manages their own inventory and uses their own drivers, instead of having multiple layers of intermediaries that can't give you a straight answer on if they'll be able to deliver your item even after you've paid. Beware the cancellation policy which only provides partial credits for future bookings - hopefully I'll never have to use this company again so the credits are useless to me! read more

This company is spot on with all your scooter needs. I would send everyone I know to this company for their mobility needs around Vegas. Only had one issue and that ones on me. I left the key in the scooter and as we are driving down the 95, the key blew out never to be found again. I called and spoke to a wonderful lady in the office that got me all taken care of. I've rented a scooter from Scootaround for the 4th time now and I have always been very happy with the service. The customer service reps are always very friendly and polite. I've rented both online and over the phone. I love that they deliver to our hotel in Vegas with the exception of the Cosmo, I had to meet the delivery driver at The Jockey Club next door which wasn't the most convenient but, it was a Cosmo issue, not Scootaround's issue. I like the 3 wheeled scooters the best because of their maneuverability, especially in elevators. I got a 4 wheeled one this time that can still be disassembled for car transport, but is heavier than the 3 wheeled one. I had an issue with the battery not keeping a charge this time, and they brought me another one the next day (no drivers on Thanksgiving otherwise they would have brought it the same day ). I am just so pleased with the service, price, and the convenience. I will always rent from Scootaround every time we go to Vegas. read more

I rented a scooter in Vegas for the week and it made life very easy while I was there. The scooter was already at my hotel when I got there and it operated better than I even expected. I just had to charge it up while I slept and it took me everywhere from morning to late night into early morning. I never lost power and charged for about 5 or 6 hours per night. First they were an hour late delivering the scooter and I believe only an hour because I was on the phone 15 minutes after I realized it was not there. Scooter itself did the job. Held a charge and was efficient. We extended our trip by a day so I called to extend the rental for a day and they told me in addition to the extra day charge there would be a 35$ charge for late reservation change!! We reserved a scooter for March 24-31, 2020. Of course, the Virus delayed this trip. So we cancelled all our reservations. The airline, hotel, rental vehicle company and our airport transport ALL gave us complete credit or refund. NOT Scootaround. They will credit only a portion, charging me $50 - for a situation no one had any control over. All I asked for was a full credit, for future use. I have written to them twice, with no response. I rented a scooter for the 4 days I was to be in Las Vegas , & was very happy when it was delivered promptly. Day 1 went very well. Day two I decided to catch a bus and head up to the strip, loading and unloading from the bus went very well too. I got off he bus at Ceasars, crossed the street and went thru Harrahs, and then headed down to Wynn... this is where the scooter flat out died on me, ( it was fully charged when I left). I called the company and spoke to an agent who proceeded to tell me it was my fault for running it so hard in the extreme heat, ( it was 87 degrees ). And it was going to be at least an hour before the driver could bring a new scooter to swap. 90 minutes I was still waiting, so I pushed this stupid thing up to the valet, explained my situation and they hailed me a cab with a lift to get me back to my hotel downtown $15 extra I had to spend, ( I already had paid for a bus pass... Now here I must mention that I have tried to call back several times, and at this they are hanging up on me ! I no sooner get back to my hotel downtown, and get that scooter PUSHED back to my room, when my cellphone starts ringing ! It's the valet from the Wynn telling me that they have just delivered a scooter for me ! I ask him to put in somewhere out of his way, thank him for the call, and then I call Scootaround to tell them that their driver just dropped off a scooter to a person that was there. This would be where the argument begins with the company about their driver "swapping out" my defective scooter for a new one. I told them that this was very funny since I still had the broken scooter back at the Four Queens, so how on earth could he have swapped anything. This foolishness continued for about 30 minutes until I became so annoyed that I told them to have their supervisor call me 1st thing in the morning. I ended up having to call her myself, she knew absolutely nothing about what had happened to me that day before, so I relayed this entire story to her, I also told her she ought to review the " this call may be recorded for training purposes " tape so that she might hear the way her employees talked to me , and left a handicapped woman stranded on the Las Vegas strip..., she was astounded to find out that I was still in possession of a broken scooter. She did offer to have one delivered asap, but my now I didn't want anything else to do with their merchandise. She saw my point and I received that refund that the very 1st girl I talked to refused to give me, just before she accused me of tearing up their scooter. Long and short, this company took away a huge chunk of my vacation, because I was afraid to wander too far away from my hotel now. I spent unnecessary money to get that stupid thing back to my hotel, since after all I am still responsible for it. I've hurt my wrist and ankle from having to push that thing, which landed me in the bed by 6pm. Thanks Scootaround, I saved my pennies and did without just so that I could take this trip. And because of this ridiculous drama I lost at least a day and a half . To those of you who may be considering renting a scooter chair from this company...DONT! I have come to learn that these chairs can be rented at a lot of the hotels!!! read more

I was very excited to use their service as it was convenient and I thought moderately priced. I opted for their insurance in case of cancellation, which was an additional charge. We had to cancel our cruise which is when we planned on using their service and they were kind and said no problem, we will issue you a refund.. they did send me an email stating that I would receive a refund within 7-10 business days.. and that was on the 7th and it's now the 21st. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because everyone when you call, has been very nice. They say, we are working on getting your refund but we have had a lot of cancellations and it is taking time to do so,. Ironically the were able to charge my card IMMEDIATELY... I've called every other day since the end of the original promise date and get the same run around.. I've now had to dispute it on my card so that I am mot charged interest until they decide to credit back my $550.. probably would not use them again, what if we had an equipment problem ,, would it be the same answer "we're working on it"????? read more

I booked this scooter several weeks in advance and I talked to agents on several occasions to make sure this is who we wanted to go with. Number one on my list is they answered the phone every time I called, I tried who the hotel recommended and they never answered. The scooter was at the hotel when we arrived and the bell hop went to get it right away. We noticed a few minor things wrong with the scooter, none that affected the scooter working just wanted to make sure we were not charged for them. We had no problems at all while we had the scooter and no problems with the company. My husband liked the scooter so much he is now looking for one so he can have one when we travel closer to home! read more
