This was soft serve and they did have ice cream so they kept asking, "One, two, or three scoops?" To which we replied with three fingers and a grin. But please add malt was met with they could sprinkle it on top. To which our smiles became frowns. "Can't you just shake it up in the glass or in the mixer? We queried. No that would be soft serve was the answer. They do have real ice cream too. We were a bit slow on the uptake, and our sweet counter girl, Emily, who was in her 20s but looked 15, patiently explained the ice cream came in a cup and the milk shakes were soft serve only, because evidently their shake machine can't handle the hard real stuff. We caved, got soft serve. We wanted malts not ice cream sprinkled with malt. *sigh.* Bella, Michael and Kennedy looked on, in training with our youthful trainer, and Kennedy remarked, "You're living on the edge," It was her first day. The place also had other retro food, except for the seed oils, which meant shakes only for us.

Peter is always so nice and has stories to tell from the people that pass by. We were treated to an extra special treat...Peter was playing the keyboard and the music was heard outside. My friends and I picked up a flight of cheesecakes. We chose Ube, fruit, Dubai cake and espresso. I am partial to the espresso since I really like coffee. The Dubai cake was kind of dry. All our other choices were so yummy. The oatmeal cookie was delish. We did take our order to go and enjoy at home. Service was exceptional and the place is clean and tidy. I can assure there's no place like it in Memphis, there's homemade sorbet, bingsu, lemonades, candies and so much more. The location is prime and very cutely decorated. My favorite treat was the muscadine sorbet. The sorbets have a Italian ice texture and are not too sweet (very important in my opinion!) Doc was so helpful in describing what everything was, and I think it's 100% worth your time to stop in and give it a try this summer.
