Absolutely disappointed with this company. I reserved a golf cart back in June, paid my deposit, and showed up expecting to pick it up. After walking 10 minutes uphill in the 90-degree heat, I was told my child was not allowed to ride on the golf cart and that I would not receive a refund. If children aren't allowed, that policy should be made crystal clear before customers book and pay. The same goes for the **$250 security deposit**, which was never clearly disclosed upfront. Instead of working with us or offering any solution, they kept my deposit and sent us away. We were left without a golf cart after planning ahead and paying in advance. Good customer service starts with clear communication, honesty, and giving customers all the important information before taking their money. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience. I don't understand why this business is listed at number one on Yelp?? Look at the stars. Look at the reviews!! They are terrible! We rented a golf cart from them and drove away and a block later it had a flat and was out of gas and ran like crap. Thought they'd give us another but no. It then broke down an hour later and they refused to come get it saying we were on a 'forbidden road' according to their fine print. I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this scooter rental shop. I spoke to the local worker yesterday about renting an RTV, and he told us they were sold out but advised us to come in person the next morning so he could set us up with a vehicle. We arrived as instructed, only to have the same worker rudely tell us that he's the only one working there and that he never specified he could actually help us. The lack of professionalism and customer service was shocking. If you're going to be in the tourism industry, you should at least have the decency to treat visitors with respect and provide clear, honest information. This place desperately needs employees who understand their job and actually care about helping customers rather than being rude and dismissive. Having a job is a privilege--no one is forcing you to work there. If you can't be bothered to treat people with kindness and professionalism, maybe it's time to find a new line of work. I would give a 0 if I could. We rented two golf carts. Our golf cart broke down, and we called. He was supposed to come and get us, we waited an hour, and he never showed. The other golf cart was leaking oil really bad and the brakes wouldn't work, so we refused to continue driving. We tried to call the police to get some help because no one in the office would answer our call after our initial call. I finally found someone from Emergency Services to help me. He called and he picked right up. The man at the office lied and said I told him the wrong location and he tried calling me several times, all lies! We had to use a cab to get back to the ferry. I called the next day to request a refund. They said she needed to talk to a manager and would email me. They never called me back. I checked my credit card and they even charged me $250 on the deposit! Filing a complaint with my credit card to dispute the charges. Do not rent from them unless you want to have a really bad day! The scooter we rented was in really rough shape- especially compared to the others I saw on the island. After a little while it broke down and they had to come get it and leave us another one. That one was also in rough shape, really loud and really slow. Super convenient and fun to drive around on the island with these golf carts.. the owner was very nice and friendly, explained all the details and gave a crash course of how to ride this cart and get it back safe.. RENTER BEWARE!!! Unsafe, unprofessional, and outright lies. They say their carts are the safest and best maintained on the Island So we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We were left stranded at the beach for 5 extra hours due to our cart not starting and when we called to tell them they told us they would get to us when they could. We ended up leaving the cart and having to pays $300 to get all of us back to our house. We expected them to help us out on the taxi considering their cart stranded us but they outright refused and said "cost of doing business". They did however deliver us another cart the next day but fast forward 2 days and when we were on our way back to drop it off we hit a slight bump and the entire windshield fell off and we ended up running it over. We explained what happened to the girl we returned the cart to and she said it doesn't matter what happened we should have noticed the windshield brackets were dry rotted and that they would be keeping our security deposit!! We called 6 weeks before our trip to reserve two scooters, and I was thrilled that there were scooters available. When we arrived on Vieques however, there were no scooters reserved for us. The owner, although nice, was vague and non-committal about the reason the scooters we had reserved were no longer available. He said that they were "not here," that they were "being repaired," that "we only have two," and that his partner had made the reservation in error. When we talked with his partner the next day, he ran through another vague series of excuses. The owners truly didn't seem to care, and offered us a crappy golf cart to rent instead. Since we didn't have other options for transportation, we used it, but it was flimsy, slow, and an understandable annoyance to the other drivers on the road. We would have just rented something else if the owners had been straightforward with us from the start. I would use another rental company if you are able to. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD!!! (That's putting it lightly) Golf cart rental we rented broke down on us. There was no pre-inspection on the Golf Cart, we paid our dues plus a $500 "deposit" that was charged. With excitement of exploring the island and making sure my Fiancé had the best experience possible (the whole Vieques experience slowly turned into disaster) all the locals were amazing in assisting by getting us back to the Ferry Location that took us back to Puerto Rico (if not we would have been stranded near a beach with not much traffic for the season) Not only where they not responsive when we had our technical Golf Cart issue but, when we finally got a call back, they were extremely rude and continued to blame each other's co-workers. I'm not one to Yelp a lot but in this situation I felt compelled to do so. In Conclusion the Island of "Vieques" is beautiful the locals are amazing but this Golf Cart Rental place is poorly ran and I don't advise to anyone, there is local taxis that can assist and I wish we would have done that instead. My wife and I had an awesome experience dealing with these people. We spoke and dealt with both the owner and what seemed like the owners right hand man. Both were very professional, considerate, kind and super helpful. The owner gave us a bunch of ideas of places to go to on the island. They made sure they washed and detailed the ATV before they gave it to us. Nothing but good things to say about them. The owner's right hand man even drove us to a restaurant he recommended to us. I wish there was a negative star. I don't usually write to complain about anything especially in Puerto Rico where Service is usually at a far lower standard then what one might expect. However, on this occasion I feel obligated to. I made a reservation for a scooter on November 23rd. They charged me for 75 dollars which I found odd but figured maybe it's a one day fee to hold the reservation. I didn't hear anything more from them. 2 days before the trip I called to see if everything was ok. No answer on any number and phones disconnected. Ok now I'm worried. We arrive in vieques on December 21, get to the shop, and the guy says no record of my purchase and he does not have a cart because they are all booked in advance. I say but I was charged. He says he has no record of it so in never happened. Then he tells me how people come in to his shop all the time and try to rip him off!! Ok. So he's looking for the papers and an hour after walking into his store he finds the papers. Any apology? No. Then he tells me there's no record of the charge and to take it up with my bank. So charges me again now for the deposit. Ok so it's 250 for the deposit and 350 for the rental so now it's 600 bucks. And he tells me that I have to return the car on dec 25. Christmas Day. I tell him there's a mistake it should be until the 28 which is when we are leaving he's like no no you are mistaken you made the reservation with me I remember the phone call. An hour ago you couldn't remember the reservation and you can't remember the credit card charge but now you remember the date? Christmas Day he calls me at 6:45am and leaves no message. Absolutely the worst. I should have gotten a free day or something and I now have no intention of returning the car on Christmas Day. Who's open Christmas Day? There are plenty of scooter businesses all over the island don't rent from him It's the worst.... some people really shouldn't be in business. read more

My wife and I rented a Kawasaki Mule while we were in Vieques, PR. The owner was showing us all the features of this UTV. He stated that the gas gauge did not work and he opened the gas tank & shook the UTV to show us how full it was. At this time the gas gauge read 2 marks/dashes below F. The owner was very confident and seemed to have made this gas gauge speech many many times. Note, there was no one else picking up any other rentals so we can't be sure but he seemed practiced. When our trip was almost over, we filled the UTV up and the gas gauge read F. The Gas Gauge worked the entire time. We drove a little more since we received the UTV 3/4 of a tank (agreement says to return with the same level of gas as received) so we thought it would be fine. We were charged $35 for the gas fee from this company. I tried to call but never received a call back. Would not recommend!! Seems this may be a regular occurrence for this company. Watch out for this SHADY business!! FYI, there are so many other rental companies on the island. read more

Didi, the staff there saved our trip. We didn't plan ahead and end up with stand on the street with no transportation can take us to the hotel in the middle of the island. We called every car rental places on the island and they response its all rented out til early march. We called taxi, and they are not going to that hotel without advance scheduling. We are hopeless and walk in into this store couple blocks away from the ferry terminal. The Scooters2 has no available cart at that time. After talking to Didi about our situation (our hotel was isolated in the middle of the island, with no signal), he helped us to fix a cart that just dropped in because of the flat tire, he was running to several tire place during his lunch break, and lucky enough we got the last golf cart on the island. Didi is very nice and smart guy there. We are lucky that we met him. The business is very busy, they don't really need a review, but I still spend the time to write this one, to show my appreciation. read more

But we're NOT responsive when it came to the cart shutting down on us. The fact that we had to literally hitch a ride from someone in the street and had a non responsive vehicle was not okay with us. We called multiple times and had other people trying to get a hold of them for us and still no response. We are very disappointed on how this company has taken action on this. We had to leave the cart up the hill because there was NOTHING we can do on our end. We thought it was the gas, or dead battery but no. Vehicle completely shut down and it wouldn't turn back on. What a horrible experience from the start. We arrived to pick up a UTV. We were promised 25mph speed. The UTV itself was clearly and older model and was missing the right side view mirror. The UTV reached a top speed of 13mph downhill and an average of 8mph. The engine is underneath of the driver seat, which got so hot after about 30 minutes of 8mph that it burnt me as we were driving. We had to pull over to allow the vehicle to cool off . This is while every local is practically slamming into us due to the subpar speeds. It's completely unsafe to drive these vehicles. After an hour and a half to go approximately 2 miles to Esperanza, we tried calling this establishment. They did not answer. The following day we went to the store to ask for a refund. We were told that only the owner can make that decision, however, they were quick to pick the vehicle back up and re-rent it to someone else making double the money on a single reservation. At the end of the week, my husband and I stopped back into the store and met with the owner, We stopped in on our own. They did not call us or make any arrangements to follow up with us. He apologized and stated that he has a small business, and that his goal is to ensure everyone is happy on their vacation. He agreed to give us a Refund. Went as far as to call us from his personal cell phone to ensure that we had his number. That was on December 9. We've placed calls to him weekly as well as text messages and have been ignored since. In all reality, a simple phone call could've avoided all of this However, this establishment does not care about you whatsoever. There are plenty other establishments that you can rent vehicles from on this island I will never do business with this scam of a company ever again. We made our reservations for a golf cart on June 2 2021. As we were taking off from the Ceiba airport, we received a phone call saying they did not have a cart for us. Since we were on the plane, we said we would talk when we arrived. The counter clerk told us the system over booked. We asked why we got bumped, did other people arrive earlier? No. Did they reserve earlier? No. Numerous questions did not reveal why we were bumped. Now we are sitting in the lobby with a 2 hour wait until someone is SUPPOSED to return one. That will give us about4 hours to explore before our plane departs. There is another car rental on Vieques and they even have a shuttle from the airport... We had to wait 50 minutes for a taxi. I had a great experience here! Super easy and efficient. I went online two days before my trip to Vieques, booked my golf cart for the day for $65+tax (roughly $72 total), and was charged right away. When I arrived Saturday at 8:05am (They open at 8am!), there were two groups ahead of me already. The gentleman was alone, but he was already in the process of checking out the first couple and we watched him go over everything very nicely with them. Then he accepted the return from the second couple, inspected the cart and checked for gas, then asked them to wait for a moment while he checked our golf cart out before taking them to the airport (super cool that they have this service! We didn't use it since we took the ferry over, so I'm not sure if they charge for it, but still very convenient!) He quickly called us inside, found my paperwork already ready and got me all checked out in less than ten minutes. When going over the golf cart, he even encouraged me to take photos of it for proof of any scratches. The cart itself ran great and we went all over the island in one day with it. When it was time to return, we only had to put a bit over 4 liters in it! A gallon for all the driving we did was a steal! He looked over the cart quickly, cancelled our deposit, and had us out quickly. Great experience and I recommended everyone! Oh! And it's easy walking distance from the ferry!! A lot of the other cart shops I saw were farther into the island and I was so glad I didn't pick some of them because I have no idea how I would have made it to their store! read more

Midway through our stay I traded vehicles because the one we had was I rough shape. It didn't shift out of park and the check engine light was on the entire time. if we had an opportunity to give it a ZERO it would be a BIG FAT ZERO. our experience getting off the ferry in Vieques was not the best trying to figure out what to do after we got off the ferry. We had many vendors approaching us to rent golf carts ATVs rental cars but no direction on where to go. We somehow got caught up on calling Scooters for Rent. when I called them (George) and asked him to please pick us up from the ferry. he said NO we have to go to him which was about a 15 minute hot scorching walk. We did. then when we got there we said we wanted to rent for about 3 hours he charged us $75. In conversation with George he said "we on the island HATE TOURISTS " (yet we are the ones that keep them working). How RUDE I thought. I asked him where can we go so we can have some sense of direction he said "I don't know" we decided to tour the island on our own without knowing what to do next and just figured things out after picking up a map at a bar. We ended up bringing the cart back an hour early so I simply asked if in trade of us bringing the cart back can he drop us off at the ferry since he was basically closed. He looked at me and said "NO" I asked for a one hour refund he again said "NO". He was the worst cus service rep ever!
