I had my eye exam done here as a new patient, and the process was very smooth! The check-in process was super easy and quick, and the waiting area / glasses area is really nice and spacious. Everyone who worked there was very kind and courteous. I didn't have to wait too long after I checked in to be seen, so they were also nice and efficient which was great! As I picked up my glasses this morning, they damaged my frames during the adjustment and I have just noticed it as I get to work. The tools they used left visible scratches on both of my frames. They also charged me for edge polishing did not perform the edge polishing and called me three times to threaten me over the phone that they were reporting me to my insurance because what I posted was true and accurate. Take ownership of your business rather than blaming your customers for posting honest reviews and threatening them! I'm not kidding when I say that this place has provided the best customer service experience amongst multiple years of getting my glasses done at various places. - Wide selection of glasses - Equipped with high tech equipment for eye exams. - Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and non-pushy staff - Top tier service level I have always had difficulty finding glasses that would fit me due to face size and Rachael has been extremely helpful throughout the process from my initial phone call query to the actual visit and recommendation of potential glasses. Other places would have pushed for me to get a pair from the store even if the style doesn't fit me as well, but not this place! I felt totally comfortable trying on different pairs and did not feel any pressure to decide or make a purchase. My glasses were supposedly put on a rush order in hopes to arrive before I left on vacation in 14 days. I was originally told that shouldn't be an issue. I called a couple days prior to leaving and was told to call back the next day but she was doubtful they would be in on time. I called two days later and never received a call back. I assumed they would be in after I returned home from being away for over a week... so I made the 45 min drive only to be told they didn't meet inspection and the new ETA is March 15. Extremely frustrating... very poor communication and lack of any responsibility. I would have appreciated some type of follow up. read more

I went to check this place out looking for Zeiss lenses. While they did offer them, they don't cut them there, they have to send them out to a lab which took weeks. Prices were the highest I have ever seen and I have been buying glasses for over 20 year. Almost double of any place else including places in Beverly Hills. If I didn't know better, I would swear it was a plastic surgery office with unlimited access to fillers. Had a really odd Stepford Wives of OC plastic vibe. It was really bizarre, I didn't feel comfortable being there. Heavy on pushing the most expensive gaudy designer frames in the thousands of dollar range which I have seen before but still higher than any other place in LA that sells the same exact frames. Wow. Can you get better service, a more personal touch, better technology, and better experts anywhere else? I doubt it. This is actually me second review for this company as my first review covered initial services at EyeXam. I have been going to EyeXam Optometry now for several months as I have dry eye issues and my eyes are strained from a heavy workload. The staff is friendly and helpful. Special appreciation to Dr. Dannelle Chung and to Linda Rocha. I needed prescription lenses and took 3 pairs of my own frames in for lenses. The results were fantastic. Dr. Chung and Linda must have spent an hour with me making sure I ordered the right lenses for the right frames. I never would have known that one of my frames was not suited for progressive lenses without their knowledge and expertise. Saved me a few hundred dollars. In any event, I get monthly IPL treatments at EyeXam for my chronic dry eye issues and have seen a marked improvement. Let me begin by saying I'm very new to wearing prescription eyewear. I purchased a pair of Cartier frames with my prescription and I must say the place that I purchased them from really didn't try to adjust them or ensure that they fit properly. I've been wearing these for about 7 months and they have been almost unbearable to wear. I've had them adjusted by different opticians and no one could get them quite right. I found Eyexam Optometry in Newport Beach and decided to reach out to see if I could possibly have them take a look at my frames to see if I needed a larger lens or maybe if I just have the wrong size frame. Once I called Julian answered. I explained to him my issues that I've been having and he explained that the cause could be many different things and it would be better if I could bring them in so he could take a look at them. We set up an appointment for the following day and once I arrived I was warmly greeted by Dr. Nikki Iravani. I informed her that I had an appointment with Julian and he promptly came over to assist me. Once Julian seen my frames in person he knew right away that they really needed to be adjusted properly. Now keep in mind I've been dealing with these issues for months and different opticians have tried to adjust these frames. WITHIN 5 MINUTES JULIAN HAD THESE ADJUSTED ALMOST PERFECT! I tried my frames on and it was a totally different feeling! He marked off the area where the arms should curve behind the ear and just snug the mastoid. I took them off once again and literally 30 seconds later the glasses fit 1000% PERFECT!!! We discussed more options for everyday office glasses as well as getting an updated eye exam. And once again Dr. Iravani came over to offer any assistance to any other questions that I may have. There was also another associate that was extremely pleasant and very helpful that assisted me with all of the measurements that I would need for any future glasses that I would need. First I want to say a huge Thank You to Julian! Your professionalism and passion for all things optical make a huge impact! You knew exactly how to adjust these frames and they feel absolutely GREAT!!!! Thank You as well Dr. Iravani for your warm hospitality as well as making yourself available to ensure I got all of the information that I needed. Lastly I want to say that as a new wearer of prescription frames it's very important to assist the client with the best option for their optical needs. Wearing glasses for the rest of you life can be a huge adjustment. I'm still getting use to it. It's unfortunate that most places just want to hopefully get you the right prescription, get your frame and send you on your way without any follow up. I'm extremely happy to say that EyeXam is not one of them. They genuinely care about their clients. When you walk in you don't feel like a number, they ensure that you feel like family. They have the largest selection of frames I've ever seen, staff was very friendly and helpful, and the dr. was very thorough and knowledgeable.
