Everything went wonderfully from the beginning of talking about the pool table, setting it up, picking out colors just about everything. It went very smoothly with Gabriel and also his Dad Gabriel. We sent him a deposit through Zelle that he asked for we were a little hesitant like everybody these days, but absolutely everything went perfectly. They delivered it on time within minutes and those minutes were earlier not later of what they said they would be here , They moved it around a little bit before the slate went on and make sure it was in the right location that we wanted and that was gonna make everything perfect for us and put the belt on new bumpers new everything it just is beautiful and then we paid him the cash of course for the rest of the delivery. They send out a father and son who act like it's a loyal family business, rush through the installation, and are out the door in no time. The worst part? After that, they completely disappear. This father son duo was truly awesome! Not only did they speak with both my wife and me most of the day and night, but they also answered all of our questions happily. It took the full day before they even knew that were in fact going to purchase either a pool table and/or pool table service from them. After looking at prices of other pool tables and adding movers to it, we thought why look any further? We avoided paying 2 different people and got a great price! We even got it the next day! The install was under 2 hours, and really cool to see. I especially liked when they sealed the slate. They brought it in, put the new felt on it, put it together, tested it, explained the ins and outs of care and other things we may need (like a cover). They were very respectful of us, our property, our animals, and kept a clean and safe work area. We even had a pleasant conversation (I'm a chatty Cathy). Was it weird to ask for a deposit? At first, we thought so, because how did we know they would show up? BUT when you think about it, how do they know they didn't just take a table apart, load it up their truck, drive all the way here, for us to say "never mind"? I personally decided to use my credit card as a precaution, and they sent me a receipt while I was on the phone with them. At that point I knew there was nothing to worry about. They showed up right when they said they would, and I paid them the remainder after they were completed, and we were satisfied. Unfortunately I had the same experience as some fellow yelpers, in the end when the left the table was NOT level. ; it seemed like they did a good job as they charged me over 1000 to go to Kernville, was a 4 hour drive each way, however they set up my pool table, and shortly after I discovered that the 3 pieces of slate are apart and not level. I called Gabriel and he said there must have been an incident or eathquake, howaeer no one touched the pool table after they were finished and there was no earthquake. Now I have to pay another 1200 for someone else to come out and level the table properly. I used them before and they were GREAT. Not this time and would never use them again. read more

I had them to move and re felt the billiard table I bought . Don't hire them as a sincere comment of how they are . They dont know how they do professional job and they aren't even close to as good as they believe . The day was smooth and Gabriel and his dad did the job. I have the picture of what they have done . 1. The do not use machinery Hugh precision leveling , so the table isn't flat at all and the ball isn't traveling straight in most shots . 2. The re felting wasn't done well enough , the felt isn't stretched enough and there is so spots I can see the ball stops its speed . 3. The side of the table weren't put together well , it failed a days after they left 4. When they were done with job they didn't even give me 5 min to shoot and see how is table and they just ran 5. I texted him mentioning before having the review I wanna give you a chnace to come fix what you have done . He said you have 40 days of warranty and he will come fix it on Saturday and that is the time propbaly he blocked my number and never responded. Again do not ask.them to move or install your table. read more

Scheduling was a bit difficult but we settled on a date and price. The day came for install and Gabriel didn't show up. I contacted him and he apologized and we rescheduled. He showed up on time and even provided a discount for my previous inconvenience. Gabriel and his assistant moved my pool table from my upstairs loft to my downstairs and re-felted my table. We called around a few places to get a quote to move a pool table from 1 location to another, maybe 5 miles away. I had no idea what went into moving a pool table. I thought maybe 5 strong guys can lift it onto a truck, transport, then lift off truck and put in place. Lol!! Well now I know that is just plain ridiculous and crazy thinking!! All the rates were similar but we chose Scorpion Billiards because of the customer service Gabriel provided over the phone. This father son duo is the best in SoCal Area. They know their stuff! They build custom tables and even installed plenty of tables over the 33 years. I had a used table I purchased from another person and the table was not in the best of shape but Gabriel and his dad did their best to fix everything. Two of the pockets I had were ripped, but Gabriel patched them up. The previous owner used cement putty to glue the slates, which is kind of a big no no (unless you are using the table outdoors). They scraped off the cement putty and even filled in some holes the previous owner drilled into the slate. I would recommend them, they set up the table quick and the cheapest around.
